The Human Resources department provides a strategic and operational HR service to the seven National Church Institutions (NCIs) and the 42 Diocesan Bishops' offices. Our HR Operations team focusses on the entire employee lifecycle providing support, advice and guidance to senior leaders, line managers and staff. The Organisational Development team lead on culture, values, wellbeing, development, and our belonging & inclusion strategy. Through our External Service team, we also offer HR support on a consultancy basis to other Church of England organisations including our dioceses and cathedrals.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an HR Officer on a fixed-term basis for 18 months. Working as part of our HR Operations team, you will be involved in providing an outstanding proactive and professional HR service to staff and managers across the National Church Institutions, and other organisations within the Church of England.
In this role, you will be the day-to-day HR contact for NCI Staff, supporting the HR Operations Manager, HR Business Partners and Deputy People Director. You will be required to meet staff online and face-to-face and be a visible HR presence.
Main responsibilities include:
- Respond to operational HR queries via the HR Helpdesk.
- Prepare letters and documentation, liaising with payroll for employment changes.
- Monitor reports for timely DBS renewals and right-to-work checks.
- Maintain accurate employee records in line with data protection regulations.
- Support virtual and in-person induction sessions.
- Contribute to improving HR processes and implementing HR systems.
- The postholder will be expected to work from our office one day per week (currently Wednesday)
- The office location can either be Church House in Westminster, London or The Brewhouse at Bishopthorpe Palace, York
We're looking for someone with:
- Previous experience in an HR department, with knowledge of the HR lifecycle.
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ideally HR systems (Oracle HCM).
- CIPD Level 3 qualification (or working towards) is desirable.

- A salary of £12,172 (FTE £30,430) per annum, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.

About the Role

The Programme Operations Officer role reports to the Programme Quality Lead (PQL) who has overall responsibility for quality oversight of programme compliance including reporting and project implementation across Cord’s country programmes and provides support in developing overall capacity for implementing programmes. The PQL also leads on Cord’s OMEAL system linked to learning and knowledge, ensuring that impact is monitored and learning is disseminated.
The Programme Operations Officer will support the Programme Quality Lead to deliver programme quality and OMEAL oversight and support to country teams and partners. Additionally, the role will support the wider Programme Operations Unit to ensure country programmes teams have the facilities and operational systems needed to deliver their work effectively. This role work closely with country teams to ensure they have the support required and will involve travel to programme locations.
The four focus areas of the role are: programme compliance, country programme support, OMEAL, and global operational support.
This role would suit someone with M&E and project cycle experience gained within a peacebuilding or development iNGO. You will have qualitative and quantitative skills, be able to analyse data efficiently, present information clearly, and work collaboratively demonstrating understanding the needs of a range of stakeholders.

Prisoners Abroad is a unique welfare and human rights charity providing advice and emotional support to people affected by overseas imprisonment. We help people during their incarceration, when they return to the UK and need resettlement services, and we also support their family and friends throughout the trauma.
In this role, you will provide crucial advice to British embassies, consulates and country caseworkers at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) on human rights issues affecting British nationals abroad, including claims of torture and cases where a British national could be or has been sentenced to death. Role Purpose:
The Clinical Director will provide strategic clinical leadership to the Restraint Reduction Network, ensuring that all initiatives, standards, and practices align with evidence-based approaches, human rights principles, and the goal of reducing restrictive practices across education health and social care settings. This role will champion best practice, influence policy, and support the implementation of RRN Training Standards nationally and internationally.
This role will also include delivering training, audits, working on projects that reflect areas of expertise and supporting organisations to restrictive practices through six core strategies.
Role Summary
· To be the clinical lead for RRN including leading our work supporting providers to improve via the six core strategies.

- Build strong relationships with NHS Trusts, social care providers, special schools, regulators, and self-advocacy groups.
- Promote co-production with people with lived experience of restraint and their families.
Education & Workforce Development
- Support the development and delivery of RRN Diploma
- Provide clinical leadership for webinars, conferences, and professional development initiatives.
Research & Evidence
- Collaborate with academic partners to advance research on restraint reduction and disseminate findings.

Funding has allowed us to recruit another reporter on a 12-month fixed-term contract, and we are looking for an ambitious Investigative Journalist to help us deliver more impactful work in 2026.
You will need to understand the power of telling stories and the role that journalism plays in mobilising action in the public interest. You will need a passion for upholding high factual and ethical standards. You will be excited about working in a multi-disciplinary campaigning organisation, and you will have excellent newsgathering, writing and contact-building skills.

This is an exciting opportunity to steer Asylum Aid at an important time in its 30-year existence. As Executive Director you will be responsible for delivering on our strategy for impact. You will oversee our work to increase access to expert, trauma-informed legal representation to those in the asylum, trafficking and statelessness systems and lead our policy and strategic legal work to achieve systemic change that contributes towards our vision.
You will line manage the Director of Legal Casework to oversee the provision of supportive and enabling leadership to Asylum Aid caseworkers so that they can continue to deliver high quality expert advice in complex cases, while being supported in their professional development and wellbeing. You will also manage and develop the work of our welfare advice team within the Westminster Advice Services Partnership and beyond, and work collaboratively with colleagues in the sector to build capacity and increase our impact.
The ideal candidate, who may be legally qualified, will have experience of leadership in the charity/NGO sector and a sound understanding of the asylum, human rights and trafficking processes in the UK and the legal frameworks which govern the protection of refugees, survivors of trafficking and stateless people, and of the role of law in achieving system change.
We are looking for someone who is strategically minded and passionate about providing supportive and inclusive leadership to our expert team. You will be committed to our objectives and to the role which expert legal representation plays in enabling people in need of protection in the UK to obtain it.
As is the nature of this sector, the role may be exposed to a high volume of traumatic and distressing material and, whilst they will be supported by the Helen Bamber Foundation Group CEO and surrounding team, the candidate should also be able to demonstrate knowledge of good self-care principles in an intense work environment and dissemination of those principles to junior members of the team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership and strategy
·Be responsible, with the support of the Helen Bamber Foundation Group CEO, for the development, implementation and monitoring of Asylum Aid’s organisational strategy
·Provide leadership and strategic direction at Asylum Aid in accordance with its aims and objectives, with the support of the Director of Legal Casework
·Act as external spokesperson for Asylum Aid, maintaining and strengthening Asylum Aid’s position as a leader in the refugee rights, statelessness and legal aid sectors;
·Work collaboratively with others in the sector to promote and strengthen Asylum Aid’s work, identify and establish potential partnerships, with the support of the Director of Legal Casework;
·Work collaboratively with the Helen Bamber Foundation Group CEO and Executive Leadership team to drive the implementation of the Group strategic framework;
·Ensure that all reporting and monitoring requirements are met to support fundraising, contract compliance and monitoring strategic impact;
·Support the cross collaboration of the Asylum Aid team with the Helen Bamber Foundation team and play an active part in the management of the Helen Bamber Foundation Group.
Governance
·Act as the Data Protection Supervisor with responsibility for data protection and cyber security within Asylum Aid
·Together with the Helen Bamber Foundation Group CEO and designated safeguarding leads, be responsible for child and adult safeguarding within Asylum Aid
·In collaboration with the Director of Legal Casework, ensure compliance by Asylum Aid with all legal and regulatory obligations, including the Legal Aid Agency contract, the Immigration Advice Authority and Solicitors Regulation Authority;
·Lead on the preparation and presentation of quarterly reports on Asylum Aid’s activities, strategy and risks to the Asylum Aid Board, the Finance and Fundraising Committee and the People and Governance Committee;
·Lead on the preparation of the Trustees’ annual report and ensure that monitoring and evaluation systems are adequate to enable reporting on Asylum Aid’s activities and impact.
Management and Supervision
·Responsible for line management of the Director of Legal Casework and Welfare Advice service coordinator, and other team supervisors as required;
·Together with the Group Director of People, responsible for Human Resources and implementation of the People Strategy within Asylum Aid, including development and implementation of HR policies and procedures;
·Together with the Director of Legal Casework and team supervisors, drive the effective management and supervision of the Asylum Aid team and ensure that they comply with relevant professional standards and accreditation;
·Foster a supportive and inclusive team culture at Asylum Aid in which each member feels valued and supported to develop professionally and to perform to the best of their ability;
·Ensure the team’s well-being and that self-care practices are established and work in tandem with the Director of Legal Casework and supervisors to ensure trauma-informed ways of working.
Policy & Strategic Legal Work
·Together with the Group Director of Policy, identify policy priorities and coordinate the preparation of evidence and briefings drawing on Asylum Aid’s experience and expertise to influence system change;
·Build and maintain relationships and partnerships with sector colleagues to support joint strategic engagement including policy advocacy and strategic legal work;
·Work closely with the Director of Legal Casework and team supervisors to drive changes in the UK asylum, trafficking and statelessness systems through strategic legal work.
Finance & Fundraising
·Work closely with the CEO and the Helen Bamber Foundation Group Finance Team to set and manage budget(s) and general financial matters for Asylum Aid
·Together with the Director of Legal Casework and the Group Finance Team, establish systems for monitoring legal aid Work In Progress and billing, and securing casework income including legal aid, and inter partes income from judicial review cases;
·Work closely with the Helen Bamber Foundation Group Fundraising and Communications Team to secure funding for Asylum Aid from a range of sources including trusts and foundations, corporate philanthropy and major donors;
·Ensure that Legal Aid and other income is maximised, and targets are achieved.
Other duties
·Manage the recruitment and supervision of volunteers where necessary in collaboration with the Helen Bamber Foundation Group Volunteers Coordinator;
·Support the Helen Bamber Foundation Group Facilities team to ensure the smooth running of the office and that the facilities meet the needs of Asylum Aid;
·Work outside normal office hours as required and travel in order to carry out the responsibilities of the post.
·To undertake any task that may be requested from time to time that may be consistent with the nature and scope of this post.
Essential Experience, Skills and Knowledge
•Experience of running a small to medium sized charity/legal NGO and/or legal department within the NGO sector (or other equivalent senior management role);
•Demonstrable experience of managing and leading a successful team and the ability to manage a growing team with mixed roles from team supervisors to administrative support staff, working co-operatively with colleagues to maintain transparency and effective working relationships within the team;

The Role
We are seeking an exceptional Communications and Media Manager to shape Standing Voice's global communications vision. This is an exciting and strategic role which sits at the intersection of human rights, international development, and digital storytelling, amplifying the voices of people with albinism and strengthening Standing Voice's work in disability rights and inclusion.
Contract: Permanent role
Salary: £32,000 to £36,000 per annum
Location: Hybrid role between home and London office, with the expectation of at least one day per week in the London office in Hackney

Core responsibilities within the position will include:
- Lead the development and implementation of Standing Voice's communications and media strategy across all platforms and audiences
- Ensure a consistent, authentic brand identity across all external touchpoints
- Collaborate closely with programme, fundraising, and executive teams to align messaging with organisational goals
- Own and grow Standing Voice's social media presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, X and Facebook including creating compelling, inclusive, and timely content, including graphics, captions, reels, and stories
- Curate a content calendar that champions beneficiaries, celebrates key milestones, shares impact, and builds community
- Monitor analytics to inform and adapt strategy for maximum reach and engagement
- Manage Standing Voice's photo and video archive, ensuring ethical sourcing, storage, and crediting. sourced, stored and credited to photographers and filmmakers
- Commission, edit and produce powerful multimedia content, including short films, photo stories, digital campaigns, that centre the voices and experiences of people with albinism
- Support donor reports, proposals, and case studies with strong narrative and visual content
- Produce quarterly newsletters and other supporter communications
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets in Africa and internationally, securing media coverage through press releases, op-eds, interviews, and features
- Develop media toolkits to support partners and frontline staff with key messages and media training
- Amplify Standing Voice's presence at global forums (e.g. UN Human Rights Council, GlobalSkin and World Congress of Dermatology) through media outreach and presentations
- Partner with local advocacy groups to co-create campaigns in Tanzania and Malawi
- Uphold dignity, agency, and rights in all communications, and lead on ethical storytelling, informed consent, and inclusive practices, championing decolonised communication approaches that prioritise local voices and perspectives

About the role
You’ll be responsible for delivering high quality housing advice, advocacy and casework to clients in community settings and remotely in line with local pressing issues and managing others in this. You will develop relationships within the sector to gather evidence and insights into the impact of the housing emergency and using those insights to drive systems change. You will lead on the development and delivery of a programme of capacity building, ensuring other organisations have the skills to act on housing rights. Influencing a range of stakeholders and decision makers across the housing sector will be important too.
You will act as a leader within the project and the wider Communities Team to help deliver and evidence our strategy at an operational level. We will count on you to line manage, supervise, coach and mentor a housing rights worker.

SENIOR HR ADVISOR – GENERALIST STAND ALONE ROLE
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our team starting, ideally, from early 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR generalist, transitioning to managing an HR standalone function.
