About the role

Kinship Minds is a transformative programme that enhances the support we provide to kinship carers in England and Wales. Our goal is to build kinship carers' confidence and equip them with the knowledge and skills to support children in their care - especially in recognising and responding to early signs of mental health issues. 

We are at the beginning of our journey to embed therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches across all areas of service delivery. This includes 1-to-1 support, digital resources and training, and peer support networks. 

The Strategic Trauma-Informed Practice Manager will lead this transition, helping us move from a trauma-sensitive organisation on a journey that becomes trauma-aware, trauma-informed, and ultimately trauma-responsive.

This strategic and hands-on role will help Kinship strengthen its therapeutic offer and build the confidence and capacity of staff and kinship carers to understand trauma and the impact it has, and provide strategies to support. We are particularly interested in experience in developing trauma-informed parenting training and resources.

The postholder will play a key role in developing and manualising our trauma-informed approach across core services: Kinship Connected, Kinship Reach, our Advice Service, and Peer Support Service. They will work with subject matter experts to develop trauma-informed approaches, toolkits and resources into everyday service delivery – based on the needs of kinship carers and their families.

You will need to be able to step into this role quickly, bringing your experience of building and developing trauma-informed approaches in complex services. You will have strong leadership capabilities, able to work at pace autonomously with creativity and dynamism.  You will need to have excellent attention to detail.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and leading Kinship’s trauma-informed strategy, ensuring the implementation of trauma-informed principles across all service delivery (for example, using Dr Karen Treisman’s approach). 
• Leading the development and manualisation of trauma-informed practice across Kinship Connected, Kinship Reach, the Advice Service, and the Peer Support Service. This includes resources, approach and content.
• Supporting organisational development to embed trauma-informed values in practice, culture, policy, and leadership, working with our Head of People and Culture.
• Developing reflective practice approach to support managers to staff and volunteer resilience particularly across services. This could include a ‘train the trainer’ approach.

The role

As Head of Operations, you will lead all operational functions of Foxglove. You will ensure that our finance, HR, legal compliance, fundraising, systems and internal processes enable the organisation to carry out its mission effectively. You’ll work across Foxglove and closely with leadership, as well as with external partners to build a resilient and well-governed organisation, able to manage growth and complexity while staying mission driven. Our Supporter Marketing team is a dynamic group of creative and data-driven marketers, fundraisers and campaigners responsible for the broadest spectrum of marketing activity in the UK—from brand & DRTV TV, digital marketing, retention and engagement stewardship, integrated fundraising campaigns and mass public campaigning. We are pivotal in shaping the dialogue with the UK mass public and over 700,000 supporters - driving the mission to ensure everyone, everywhere has access to clean water, decent toilets, and good hygiene. About the role

To lead the strategic development and delivery of WaterAid's public fundraising integrated campaigns and high-impact mass public campaigning activations. As a key strategic leader, this role is responsible for driving marketing activities that effectively build the WaterAid brand, generate vital income, and mobilise public support for our mission.

In this role, you will:

• Lead the strategic development of integrated campaigns, ensuring a balanced focus on fundraising income maximisation and mass public action/mobilisation.
• Provide direct line management to the Campaigns Project Manager and champion best practice in project governance and execution.
• Direct cross-functional collaboration to align internal teams (Advocacy, Digital, Brand) and external agencies for seamless, high-impact campaign delivery.
• Own the income performance of the integrated campaign portfolio, driving a test-and-learn strategy and providing strategic insights to senior leadership.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

• Strategic Marketing & Public Campaigning Expertise: Proven track record of developing and owning the strategy for large-scale integrated campaigns with explicit goals for both income generation and mass public action.
• Line Management & Delegation: Formal experience in line managing staff, including appraisals, performance management, and a proven ability to delegate effectively.
• Strategic Stakeholder Management: Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills to lead and gain buy-in from cross-functional teams in a matrix structure.
• Financial Governance: Proven ability to manage and be accountable for large activity budgets, overseeing planning, forecasting.

Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:

• Experience with Large-Scale Fundraising Campaigns with significant income targets and experience contributing to Brand Building and Management.

Head of Media and Public Affairs

As Head of Media and Public Affairs you will lead, plan, develop and implement effective media and public affairs strategies to actively promote the RCPCH and its priorities for maximum influence and impact.

The Head of Media and Public Affairs is an important leadership role at the College. You will work closely with journalists and media organisations to champion the College in the media as well as securing political support for our policy messages, through stakeholder relationships within the UK Government, Whitehall and the Westminster Parliament.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Policy & External Affairs, you will manage, direct and motivate the team to successfully achieve performance goals. You will play a pivotal role in driving the College’s Westminster public affairs work to secure our advocacy goals and you will also manage the out-of-hours media rota, being flexible to be on-call to media as required. You will also take responsibility for preparing and monitoring the Media and Public Affairs team budget, ensuring that all operational expenditure is value for money.

Degree educated or with relevant professional experience you will have demonstrable experience of developing and implementing proactive media and public affairs strategies and a strong track record in leading, planning, implementing and evaluating integrated communications strategies.

With proven leadership and performance management skills, you should also have a background of working with and influencing senior managers and have proven stakeholder management skills, being able to develop and nurture high level contacts in media and government.

Experience of briefing senior staff to act as spokespeople through the media and in direct engagement with political stakeholders is essential. Direct experience of working within an organisation that delivers health or children’s services would be desirable.

The media team strategically leads on both proactive and reactive media activity, engaging with journalists to support WaterAid’s mass engagement, partnerships, brand awareness and political influencing. 

As our Senior PR Manager, you will lead the public relations function for WaterAid and work closely with the three senior media officers you manage, to drive sustainable change.

In this role, you will:

• Lead on developing and delivering innovative integrated, digital first PR campaigns that achieve impactful national, international, local and digital coverage, to support our fundraising and public engagement activities, build WaterAid’s profile, and align with wider organisational aims 

• Manage our media around our high-profile strategic partnerships to deliver media projects that meet shared objectives and help our partners become influencers in their sector to drive change 

• Work with the Celebrity and Influencer team to develop effective ways to work with high-profile supporters to build awareness of WaterAid and our work 

• Act as a media spokesperson for WaterAid as required, briefing journalists on and off the record and giving media interviews where necessary 

• Provide professional advice and support to colleagues in the UK, including our Chief Executive and within the WaterAid federation involved in media relations work, and identify opportunities to coordinate media moments across the organisation 

• Manage reputational issues where appropriate in coordination with the Head of Media 

• Write and edit copy as required for print and web outlets 

• Monitor and evaluate coverage and the wider impacts of our media work to guide future strategies 
• Build and maintain relationships with key journalists and broadcasters including the planning and managing of trips to country programmes with journalists, celebrities or for content gathering 

• Join the 24/7 on-call rota and be prepared for travel in the UK and overseas - usually around two weeks per year - as well as some work outside normal office hours, as necessary 

• Undertake any other responsibilities, tasks or activities as reasonably required, including deputising for the Head of Media

Platform’s North Sea Workers’ Transition project is building towards a managed phase-out of oil and gas extraction in the UK North Sea. We’re organising for an energy industry that protects the rights and livelihoods of the current oil and gas workforce and directs wealth back to communities, especially those impacted by industrial change.

We have been working with offshore oil and gas workers and their unions for 5+ years. In 2023, we published a groundbreaking set of 10 demands for a just energy transition away from fossil fuels co-created with offshore workers: Our Power: offshore workers’ demands for a just energy transition. Since publishing the report we have launched public advocacy and media campaigns based on these demands - working alongside industrial trade unions, national and grassroots climate groups, and oil and gas workers. We coordinate a first-of-its-kind coalition of industrial unions and climate groups working together on national worker transition demands.

As living conditions continue to decline and the climate crisis deepens, we are looking for a motivated and creative campaigner, who is able to lead the next stage of the project, and who has a strong understanding of anti-oppression and energy justice.

About the role

The Worker Transition Campaigns Manager will work closely with our Worker Organiser and Public and Community Ownership Campaigner, supported by our Organising and Advocacy Lead, Research Lead and Communications Lead.

You will be responsible for strategising, project managing and delivering the project. Activities will look like:

• Coordinating an existing coalition of climate groups and trade unions, including holding relationships with a wide range of key stakeholders across movements;
• Developing and delivering political advocacy and public campaigns strategies to win Our Power demands - including public ownership of energy - at a UK and Scottish Government level;
• Supporting the work of Platform’s Worker Organiser(s) to build links with energy workers and involve them in media, political meetings and/or campaigning activities.

This post would sit within Platform’s internal collective management structure and would therefore be expected to support the collective management of the organisation in addition to finance and fundraising-related responsibilities. This includes line managing 1-2 staff members after the 6 month probation period and attending collective management meetings. 

Role Details

Hours: 4 days (32 hours) based on a 40 hour work week (5 x 8 hour days including a 1hr lunch break).

Contract: Permanent

Proposed start date: ASAP, depending on notice period.

Salary: £36,824.41 for 4 days (32 hours) per week (£46,030.51 FTE) is our baseline salary, adjustable according to our Socially Just Waging System. Terms and conditions apply.
