About You

As our Philanthropy Manager (Trusts) you will play a pivotal role in cultivating, nurturing, and growing relationships with Trusts and Foundations. This role involves working collaboratively across Save the Children teams to develop compelling proposals, secure support, and create sustainable partnerships.

You will also be responsible for independently providing expert stewardship and management of a portfolio of donors as well as actively driving new business creating and securing partnerships that create lasting impact for children.

In this role, you will:

• Independently managing a portfolio of existing and new donors through a variety of personalised and creative approaches ensuring excellent stewardship and translating into increased income for Save the Children 
• Actively driving new business, working closely with key members of Save the Children's programming teams, the Trusts & Foundations Lead and other colleagues to identify and assess new prospects and to identify the most appropriate and impactful proposition to secure partnerships that create impact for children. 
• Developing networks amongst donors and prospects to promote Save the Children's work and grow opportunities for philanthropic gifts. 
• Working cross-departmentally to produce high quality written proposals, bids, concept notes and applications for donors.
• Working in collaboration with other colleagues to identify, design and execute new engagement events, opportunities, and products for potential and existing donors.

To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Experience of working in a fundraising environment or similar experience where comparable skills can be used to work with potential high-level funders and supporters.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships with, engage and influence a wide range of donors, and stakeholders (internal and external)
• Independent worker with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet deadlines, and pro-actively identify and pursue new opportunities.
• Project or partnership management skills including reporting, budgeting, meeting deadlines and working across multiple teams. 
• Problem solving skills and a flexible, creative and positive approach.
• Strong communication skills – both written and oral – with the ability to develop and deliver compelling propositions and stewardship communications.

About You:
As our Senior Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our fundraising strategy. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team to raise unrestricted income by engaging schools and workplaces to participate in Christmas Jumper Day and raise much-needed funds for children for 6 months of the year. For the other 6 months of the year, you will lead marketing and fundraising projects across Public Income and Engagement to drive us towards Save the Children's goal of raising £60 million by 2030.

About the Role

The Middlesbrough Programme on Gendered Poverty is an exciting collaborative programme bringing together Buttle UK, the Smallwood Trust and Turn2us to test whether a co-produced & collaborative approach to grant-making can transform the lives of women and their children.

The programme aims to:

• Shift power to people worst impacted by gendered poverty and work to end gendered poverty 
• Develop the programme using co-production techniques so that the voices and experiences of the women and their children, who face issues created by gendered poverty, inform and shape the programme 
• Deliver the programme with and to communities of the most marginalised women and their children 
• Apply an evidence-based approach to our work and programme design 
• Use grants as a primary response and tool, effectively and efficiently 
• Learn as we go and work to understand how intersections of inequality impact on our grant making

The Huntington's Disease Association is a UK registered charity that supports people affected by Huntington's disease across England and Wales. We provide information, advice and support to families, friends, and healthcare professionals.

You will also manage HD Voice, our panel of volunteers, who contribute to the internal development of the charity and ensure that the voice of the Huntington’s community is at the heart of research into the condition.

You will co-ordinate all aspects of the volunteer journey from recruitment, selection, induction, training and ongoing support and develop effective policies, procedures and guidance for volunteers as well as developing an effective monitoring and evaluation process.

We are looking for someone with strong volunteer management skills who has experience of training volunteers and of writing policies, procedures and guidance in line with data protection guidance. There will be regular evening and weekend work as many of our volunteers work themselves so need the support out of office hours. There will be a need for travel across England and Wales.

Purpose and Key Responsibilities:

The Volunteer Manager role is responsible for recruiting, engaging and deploying volunteers into a wide variety of roles across the charity.

• Work with the Warehouse Manager and Food Distribution teams to support the recruitment journey and retention of volunteers. Encourage people to volunteer through a variety of marketing and promotion approaches, including social media and working with our Communications and Fundraising team to develop a strategy for volunteers. Develop, coordinate, and engage a network of around 150 active volunteers. Book and signpost volunteers to relevant and engaging volunteer training sessions. Work with the Warehouse Manager and Head of Food Distribution and Volunteering to resolve any volunteering related issues or complaints. Proactively liaise with the staff team to determine volunteer requirements, select volunteers for the right roles and match them to the right people, considering preferences and restrictions on both sides. Provide advice and guidance to volunteers about their matched relationship (with support from the wider team) and highlight safeguarding concerns as appropriate. Work effectively to ensure volunteers feel part of Hackney Foodbank. Support the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of our services.
• Gathering volunteer feedback and take appropriate steps for improvement.

Skills and Experience

The Project Manager will be a key member of the Charity and will play a significant part in developing and delivering the Life Chances Programme to our beneficiaries. The post holder will work closely with the CEO and is able to draw on support from the Admin Support Officer.

The Project Manager will support the success of the Charity’s core operations, the development and delivery of the Life Chances Programme, the lifecycle of projects and financial management from securing funding to reporting impact by ensuring the effective development and management of project opportunities, proposals, funding and finances, planning, delivery, evaluation and reporting.

Project Management

The Individual Giving Manager (Retention) will work within the Public Fundraising Team and play a key part in growing and sustaining income from our individual giving audiences of cash donors and regular giving supporters. You will work closely with the Deputy Director of Fundraising, Individual Giving Manager (Acquisition), Supporter Care Officer and Database Manager and will be responsible for the development, project management and delivery of the supporter retention, renewal and stewardship program. This is a great role for someone with existing individual giving fundraising experience, who would like the opportunity to use analysis and insights to develop and shape retention and stewardship activity, with the drive to deliver a program which aspires be best in class.

This role plays a key part in driving income growth and sustainability in our Individual Giving programme.

Your priorities will include:

· Driving the strategic and operational planning of Individual Giving to deliver strong income growth and return of investment (ROI), ensuring agreed targets and KPIs are achieved in relation to retention and conversion of existing donors.

· Devising and delivering the overall Individual Giving retention and stewardship budget to maximise opportunities for growth, preparing robust annual income and expenditure budgets and operational plans.

Strategy, planning and delivery:

· Develop and manage donor retention and upgrade for cash donors and regular givers across all channels to increase our supporter base, maximising ROI.

· Devise and deliver the overall Individual Giving retention and stewardship budget to maximise opportunities for growth, preparing robust annual income and expenditure budgets and ops plans, reforecasting these on a quarterly basis and engaging with month end processes.

· Lead the delivery of an impactful stewardship programme, which includes managing the supporter newsletter to optimise donor retention and development across all supporters, delivering exceptional donor experience; oversee timely responses to donors.

· Optimise data and data capture opportunities to help us better understand our supporters, inform strategy and ultimately deliver insight to help drive retention and lifetime value.
