About the Communications & Fundraising Coordinator role 

Our Communications and Engagement team promotes our vibrant neighbourhood and the impact of our work across South Bank, and supports fundraising through storytelling, engagement, and campaigns that inspire support. The Communications and Fundraising Co-ordinator will provide support to the communications team by creating engaging content for a range of audiences both internally and externally and supporting our fundraising campaigns and projects.

As our new Communications & Fundraising Coordinator, you will 

• Support communications, marketing, and fundraising plans to boost awareness and engagement in Coin Street’s work campaigns. 

• Build positive relationships with stakeholders and the public through engaging content (e.g. newsletters, social media, web, and print). 

• Assist with design and production of creative materials (e.g. posters, flyers, and booklets). 

• Help with fundraising and partnerships by researching opportunities, preparing applications, maintaining records, and providing admin support.

• Contribute to planning and promoting fundraising and volunteering initiatives, creating content and strengthening relationships.

To be successful you will need to demonstrate the following 

• Experience in marketing, communications, PR, fundraising, or bid writing. 

• Strong copywriting and content creation skills, including social media. 

• Knowledge of social media platforms, experience in fundraising or charity income generation, and skills in design or video editing using tools like Canva, InDesign, or similar are desirable but not essential.

• Someone who will support the success of the Regional Fundraising team by coordinating a range of processes, projects and ways of working to create better collaboration and consistency across the team, enabling us to meet our team objectives of securing sustainable income.
• Someone who can monitor and take ownership of all regular Regional Processes e.g. Monthly financial reporting, basic database (CARE) checks/reporting, risk assessment process, setting up team meeting and conducting research.
• Someone with a data driven mindset and confident in representing the team’s data needs to other teams such as Data team and CRM Migration team.

The challenge this role will help us address:

Black or Minoritised Ethnic children and young people are less visible and represented across Barnardo's work – in our Children's Services, and in our UK voice and influence work. This role will help us:

• Address ongoing feedback about the need for greater representation of Black or Minoritised Ethnic young people within B-Amplified, while also strengthening engagement from children's services to support pathways for a longer-term, stronger charity-wide approach to inclusive engagement.
• Identify and understand barriers within children's services that prevent meaningful engagement with Black or Minoritised Ethnic young people. This will help inform V&I, SEEN, and the wider organisation's approach to anti-racist practice, and excellent and inclusive voice and influence work.

Specifically, this role will:

• Lead on the recruitment, coordination and support of young people signed up as B-Amplified Network members – the role will be the dedicated member of staff to onboard, sustain engagement, and successfully support young people to transition and exit to other opportunities.
• Support the SEEN Ambassadors, and coordinate their engagement in the wider B-Amplified Network offer – bringing them more coherently into the wider voice and influence programme of work, and ensure there is a consistent approach to monitoring, evaluation, recording and reporting for this group of young people.
   

In year 1 of this role, we expect the focus to be on the anti-racism strand to excellent and inclusive services and, by extension, the increased engagement of Black or Minoritised Ethnic children and young people – locally, in services, and nationally, in national opportunities. • Provide ‘hands-on' sessional and pastoral support for young people participating in the B-Amplified Network and those who are SEEN Ambassadors.
• Coordinate and support a programme of personal and skills development sessions for young people participating in the B-Amplified Network and those who are SEEN Ambassadors – such as training, webinars and similar – to ‘get them ready' to have a voice and influence in decision-making.
• Forge improved links between the B-Amplified Network and SEEN Ambassadors, to ensure clarity of role/s, engagement and our ‘menu' of opportunities.

Role Overview

We are seeking an organised, proactive, and detail-oriented Property Department
Coordinator to provide high-level executive support to the Director of Property and coordination
across the department. This pivotal role will combine Executive Assistant responsibilities with
departmental coordination, ensuring the smooth running of operations, the effective flow of
information, and the delivery of accurate data and reports to internal and external stakeholders.

You will work closely with the Director of Property and two Heads of Function, whose specialist
teams manage the organisation’s diverse property portfolio. You will play a key role in preparing
materials for the Board of Trustees, coordinating the quarterly Property Committee, and
supporting departmental projects.

You will ensure timely flow of information and reporting between the team and stakeholders,
including SLT, Trustees and suppliers / contractors.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Assistant to the Director of Property

•  Manage the Director’s diary, meetings, and travel arrangements.
•  Prepare agendas, take minutes of meetings, and follow up actions for key meetings.
•  Draft correspondence, briefings, and presentations for the Director.
• Support the Director in tracking actions, deadlines and project progress.

Department Coordination

• Act as the central coordination point across the department, ensuring smooth communication between the Director, Heads of Functions, and their teams.
• Maintain departmental work plans, timelines, and trackers.
• Support tendering processes and analysis

• Coordinate quarterly Property Committee meetings: arrange logistics, prepare and
  circulate papers, and take accurate minutes.
• Work with the Director to prepare papers and reports for the Board of Trustees.
• Ensure all governance requirements are met in relation to committee administration.

Skills, Experience & Attributes

Essential:

• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple
  priorities, working with various stakeholders.
• Experience as an executive assistant, project coordinator, or similar role.
• Confident in analysing data and presenting it in a clear, accessible format, and proficient
  in using data management systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, CRM.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and comfortable with
  digital collaboration tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A collaborative approach with the ability to build strong working relationships.

Desirable:

• Experience in a property, facilities, or asset management context.

• Conduct professional health-related literature searches across biomedical databases. 
• Provide current awareness services and deliver information skills training.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Volunteer & Communications Coordinator who believes in the power of people and storytelling.
This is a role for someone who’s passionate about community and inclusion, and who can bring both heart and strategy to the way we recruit, train, and celebrate our volunteers.

You’ll lead the development of our volunteer and communications strategy, ensuring our work is inclusive, rooted in social justice, and reflective of the communities we serve. From recruiting and training new mentors to telling powerful stories that shift narratives, this is a role where people skills meet purpose.

You’ll:

• Build meaningful partnerships with community organisations, universities, and employers to grow a diverse volunteer base.
• Oversee each step of the volunteer journey, recruitment, training, and recognition, ensuring every volunteer feels supported and valued.
• Shape Unfold’s digital presence and social media, amplifying Global Majority voices and sharing stories that inspire others to get involved.
• Work collaboratively across programmes to strengthen processes, maintain accurate data, and embed rights-based practice.

About You

You’ll bring:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a confident, engaging style.
• Strong organisational ability - able to manage multiple priorities.
• Good data management skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of the volunteer sector and enthusiasm for supporting families and young people to thrive.
• Experience in marketing or external communications, including managing social media and creating materials in Canva or similar tools.

This position is mainly remote with occasional attendance to their Head Office in central London. You will be part of a small but friendly and supportive HR team.

This is a strategic and operational HR opportunity paying a salary of £40,080.  The role will report to the Senior People Business Partner, who is fantastic at developing their direct reports and allowing them to grow in their role. The successful candidate will act as a trusted HR advisor to designated teams, supporting a wide range of employee relations issues, recruitment activity, organisational change, and policy development.

Some of the key responsibilities of this People Business Partner role include:

• Business partnering with key directorates, understanding their unique needs and delivering tailored people solutions
• Providing expert support across employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance
• Managing and supporting recruitment processes in line with safer recruitment practices
• Advising on and implementing organisational change processes, including TUPE transfers
• Coaching and supporting managers in day-to-day HR matters and long-term people development
• Supporting onboarding, induction and HR project delivery
• Contributing to policy reviews, system improvements, and reporting processes
• Championing the organisations values, including equity, diversity, and inclusion

The ideal candidate will be a proven HR generalist, ideally with experience from working in the charity sector, along with a strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice. They will have excellent interpersonal skills, a proactive, solutions-focused approach, and experience in managing or mentoring others. A values-driven mindset and a strong commitment EDI is essential. It would be very advantageous for the People Business Partner to be CIPD qualified (or have the equivalent experience).

Sporting Assets is the leading provider of advisory and investment management services to the sport and physical activity sector in the UK. We manage impact investment funds that provide affordable patient loans to community-based organisations delivering impact through sport and physical activity. Investors and stakeholders in our funds include Sport England, National Governing Bodies, Trusts and Foundations such as the Bank Workers Charity, and Impact Investors including the Access Foundation and Better Society Capital.

Beyond our funds, we provide business advisory services to the sector, helping organisations such as clubs, infrastructure bodies and NGBs build capacity, develop investment cases and business plans to secure funding and finance plus other outcomes such as tenure to become more sustainable and impactful.

We work across the public, private, and charitable sectors, delivering practical, specialist advice backed by deep expertise in community engagement, enterprise and facility development, finance, and impact investing. Our advisory work equips organisations with the tools and capacity to deliver effectively, while our investments build more sustainable and impactful community sport enterprises.

The Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the continued growth of Sporting Assets, advancing our mission to help create healthy, resilient communities with sport and physical activity at their core.

As a Senior Consultant, your primary responsibility will be to deliver a range of projects within the Advisory team. 

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Head of Advisory, you will be responsible for:

• Project Leadership and Delivery. Leading and managing advisory projects from inception to delivery, ensuring high-quality outcomes for clients.
• Strategic and Operational Client Support. Providing client-facing support across business planning, financial sustainability, governance, stakeholder engagement, and impact measurement.
• Enterprise Growth and Community Development. Working closely with clients, funders and partners to deliver support and guidance enabling enterprise growth and community development within the sport and physical activity sector.
• Investment Readiness Support. Contributing to the development of new services and business opportunities aligned with our mission, including supporting our investment team to deliver investment readiness support across our fund portfolios.

Internally you will be:

• A Collaborative Team Leader. Contributing to a team environment that values knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and inclusivity. Fostering a collaborative and positive team environment by contributing proactively, constructively, and setting a strong example for others.

Essential:

• Significant experience (typically 5+ years) in a consultancy, strategic, or senior programme role within the social and community enterprise sector, ideally in sport and physical activity.
• Strong track record of managing multiple projects and prioritising effectively under pressure.
• Deep understanding of how the community and social enterprise sector, ideally through sport, can contribute to wider social outcomes, including health, wellbeing, regeneration, inclusion, and community resilience.
• Experience in financial modelling, business planning and investment readiness support with a clear understanding of the key drivers of profitability and sustainable growth.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to engage credibly with a diverse range of people and organisations including marginalised communities and senior leaders from public, commercial and community organisations.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent empathy and active listening skills with the ability to connect with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Proven business coaching and mentoring skills supporting individuals and community organisations.

Desirable:

• Working knowledge of the legal and governance structures available to community based and socially driven organisations ideally including those operating in sport and physical activity.
• Working knowledge of community and social investment plus funding landscapes.
• Operational experience of community organisations and social enterprises, ideally in sport.
• Understanding of social impact measurement and reporting, including methods such as SROI, outcomes frameworks, theory of change and Power BI.
