About the role:

About Us
Unfold is an established local charity (previously known as Westminster Befriend a Family), supporting young people and families to reach their potential, identifying and achieving their goals through mentoring. We support families and young people in Westminster and its neighbouring boroughs with mentoring programmes and peer support groups for women with children.
For 30 years, we have been providing support to vulnerable families who are at risk of social exclusion. Working with a network of trained and DBS checked volunteers, we offer mentoring to women with children and young people, building independence and getting them where they want to be.
Roles and Responsibilities
Supporting the planning and delivery of volunteer strategy with the aims of 1) Increasing the number of volunteers available to us as we grow and expand geographically and develop programme focus; 2) Diversifying our volunteers; 3) Improving volunteer experience and; 4) Increasing volunteer retention.
Volunteer Recruitment
- Overseeing the smooth and efficient recruitment, including drafting job descriptions and advertising on multiple online platforms.
- Supporting the selection and induction of volunteer mentors and referencing and DBS checking in a timely manner.
- Supervising our Office Volunteer in the processing, support and onboarding of volunteers.
- Attending external events and connecting with community organisations, universities, and businesses to recruit potential mentors.
- Building relationships with corporate partners and Higher and Further Education institutions to engage employees and attract mentors.
- Supporting communications with the production of marketing materials, including volunteer case studies, social media, in line with Unfold’s digital strategy to attract potential mentors to the programme

Volunteer Training and Development
- Leading our group of Volunteer Ambassadors, who provide feedback and insights on volunteer recruitment and experience, and actively promote mentoring opportunities through their networks.
- Take responsibility for managing volunteer training and development including ensuring volunteer sign up and tracking progress on our online training platform.
- Update material on the online training platform and assist the Programme Managers with developing additional training modules for the different strands of the programme as required.

People experiencing homelessness are often from the most socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds and are digitally excluded. This multifaceted role requires a blend of strategic planning, community engagement, technological proficiency, and environmental stewardship. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders from both withing SHP and externally to develop and implement sustainable solutions that bridge the digital divide and minimize the environmental impact of electronic waste.

- Managing a caseload of clients.
- Developing a holistic plan of support, and directly delivering aspects of it.
- Liaising with hospitals, social workers, volunteers, family members, carers and other voluntary sector organisations and services.
- Administration related to the delivery of the service.
We are looking for an individual with experience in a health or social care related field, has an understanding of the challenges facing older people upon leaving hospital, has access to their own transport and is able to undertake physical tasks associated with preparing the home for discharge. Programme Overview
The Refugee Employability Programme is a new initiative that offers enhanced support to defined cohorts of legally recognised refugees in the UK. Starting in September 2023, the programme will provide tailored support for each participant focussed on gaining sustainable employment. Palladium will work with employers, local government, and other community partners to ensure that individuals are fully supported with their journey back to employment and integration into UK society. The programme includes delivery of employability- focussed English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) tuition for some of the defined cohorts.

As Case Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the front-line support to customers on the Home Office Refugee Employability Programme, ensuring that they receive excellent service which is compliant with all Home Office requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Take responsibility for engaging with potential customers, explaining eligibility and bringing in referrals to the programme as part of a coordinated team approach.
· Be accountable for your caseload of assigned customers and working with them to address their learning, integration and employment needs in line with both contractual requirements and the individual’s needs. This will include:
o Building rapport and a positive working relationship with each customer.
o Assessing the customer’s starting position to decide how to best meet their needs.
o Creating and following through with individual Personal Development Plans, ensuring appropriate and effective activity is undertaken by each customer.
o Providing challenge, advice, and guidance where appropriate, to develop customers’ capability in the recruitment process ensuring they have the necessary skills and confidence to secure employment.
· Develop an understanding of specialist signposting services in the local area/region, so that you are able to source and refer customers to additional support when needed;
· Cultivate a welcoming environment and ensure a high level of engagement / re-engagement with customers;
· Work collaboratively as part of a small team to ensure excellent support for all customers;
· Deliver programme in accordance with contractual Service Level Agreements and company standards;
· Maintain customers’ records in accordance with data protection requirements so that personal information is safeguarded, and the customer journey is accurately recorded;
· Meet personal performance targets, Key Performance Indicators and Quality and Compliance measures by delivering high quality employability provision to customers, both remotely and face to face;
· Develop relationships and networks with key local stakeholders including employers to provide the best possible support for customers.

Location and compensation
You will primarily working on an outreach basis within the community and you will be given a base location. Any travel to meet customers outside the base location will be reimbursed in line with the travel policy.
Compensation: You will receive a salary in the range 26,000-29,000 GBP per annum, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package including private health insurance and up to 10% employer pension contributions.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our Education Team. Role Requirements
STL1 – Provide support for Learning Activities set by Classteacher & Senior Specialist Teaching Assistant
- To support learning activities for individual, groups or whole classes of pupils, leading activities under the direction of the teacher or Senior Teaching Assistant supporting the teacher in their delivery of lessons.
- To demonstrate our School Ethos and Pupil Charter throughout the School day.
- Holistically integrate education, health and care needs.
- Evaluate and record procedures for learning activities.

- Undertake annual safeguarding training.
- Adhere to the school’s Safeguarding and Child Protection procedures and policies. Recording incidents pertaining to pupil safety, including for illness, accidents and incidents, accepting that Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and that ‘it could happen here’.
