About the role

The Critical Time Intervention (CTI) Worker will provide person centred assistance during the transition from custody to community integration. By following the Critical Time Intervention model the CTI Worker will collaborate with a range of services to enable the individual to access them and use a range of appropriate interventions to assist the individual to become more independent and connected.

This also combines with an equitable approach to ensure that any systemic barriers are challenged and that the voices, experiences and stories of people navigating this transition are heard. About you

• Being person centred to build relationships, use assessments and develop goals and actions that are based on what is important for the individual.
• Working within the principles of the Critical Time Intervention model and understanding the challenges faced in the transition from custody to community integration.
• Building and maintaining good working relationships within HM Prison & Probation Service and other organisations to assist with receiving referrals, signposting, making external referrals and advocacy.
• Promote engagement with co-production opportunities within the service as well as actively seeking feedback on service delivery and improvement from the people accessing the service.
• Using reflective practice, caseload management meetings and personal development opportunities to deliver a quality service and work within the values of Crisis.
• Being able to identify and manage safeguarding concerns utilising a range of communication methods.

Cranstoun is an independent charity and leading provider of specialist treatment, harm reduction and recovery services to those affected by drug and alcohol use. This is an exciting opportunity to become a Key Worker within our high performing psychosocial drug and alcohol service in HMP Birmingham. 

We provide a range of services for those affected by drugs and alcohol. Our skilled and compassionate team work closely with people who use our services to change and save lives. We combine proven expertise in treatment and recovery with innovative approaches and actively involve those we help in improving the design of the services we provide. 

You will be based in our psychosocial team working with adult males (over 18 years old). You will be responsible for delivering a range of elements of our substance use work including case management, assessments, care planning, the delivery of one-to-one interventions to include harm reduction and motivational work, group work, and engagement support as well as other associated duties. You need to be committed to supporting people who use our services to make positive changes to prepare them for release into the community, and you will arrange continuity of care. You will work in collaboration with the clinical team and integrated working is a key element of this role. You will work within the prison setting and contribute towards the wider prison drug strategy. 

Having experience of supporting people with complex health needs including substance use, you will bring knowledge and commitment to deliver drug and alcohol treatment. You will have a non-judgemental attitude and a desire to support the lives of people who use our services to be healthier and safer by delivering a high-quality service. 

Experience of working with drug and alcohol use is essential. You will be a competent communicator, with the ability to work independently and be comfortable and enthusiastic, both with the highlighted client group and working in partnership with other service providers. Previous experience or knowledge of working with individuals on opiate replacement treatment, and/or involved in the criminal justice system will be advantageous.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

·To support the community work of Adoption UK Scotland and their kinship services, to provide professionals, parents/carers, children, and young people access to information, resources, and services for kinship communities and to engage with families in their local communities.

·To offer a front-line service, primarily to kinship families based in the East Lothian Community, by supporting delivery and administration for activities and events, including regular support groups delivery, youth and family events. Support of events in other areas in Scotland based on resources and availability.

·To hold and manage kinship care family cases, providing direct family support within service guidelines and delivery model.

·Support planning, organisation of, and attendance at, in person and online events through funded projects and services to bring together kinship families and individuals, enable peer support, build a sense of community and promote an active and supportive Community Network.

·To respond to enquiries received via the Information and Support Service and relevant email inboxes with relevant information and/or signposting.

·To be part of the wider kinship service team within Adoption UK Scotland, working across teams and services.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·Working alongside service leads within the kinship teams, and with the wider community team members to plan and deliver specific events and activities for East Lothian Council Kinship community members, and kinship families in wider areas where resources and availability allows.

·Provide administrative coordination for community groups, including collating event materials, gathering feedback and evaluations for reporting purposes, supporting delivery of events, maintaining records using existing required systems, and responding to enquiries via our Information and Support line and relevant email inboxes.

·To facilitate referral meetings with new kinship carers accessing the East Lothian Kinship Support Service, including initial assessment of need to identify suitable support and signposting requirements

·To hold responsibility for administrative requirements relating to referrals and cases within the East Lothian Kinship Support Service, including setting up new cases and recording service delivery interactions, using existing Adoption UK systems and processes

·To work with colleagues in the Foundations for Families kinship support service to support delivery where time and resources allow, and coordinate activities between services where appropriate.

·To report to line manager and directors in Adoption UK Scotland relating to service delivery, including contributing to monitoring and reporting on activities.

·To work alongside Adoption UK colleagues to develop and improve resources and services for kinship carers

West Sussex Transitional Housing provides homes for young people in a range of settings across the county. Services provide a low level of support for young people who already have a basic level of daily living skills and can keep themselves safe without daily supervision. Services are staffed Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, with some services having on site staff and others visiting staff; all services are supported by a mobile night team who carry out regular safety and security checks. The aim of the service is to enable and empower young people to move on to independent accommodation and articulate and start to achieve their aspirations and ambitions.

We adopt a trauma informed and psychologically informed approach to supporting our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and work towards aspirations so that they can move on to enjoy fully independent futures.

We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our team, who will hold a caseload of residents and meet with them weekly to build a support plan. Main areas of responsibilities are:

Housing and Compliance

• Support young people to understand and comply with their occupancy agreements, including coaching them to meet house rules and responsibilities as part of preparing for successful independent living.
• Promote a strong rent‑payment and credit culture, encouraging residents to maintain regular payments and understand their financial obligations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of housing legislation, welfare benefits, and statutory requirements affecting young people, ensuring practice aligns with current housing law and organisational policies.
• Respond promptly and effectively to breaches of agreement, including rent arrears, antisocial behaviour, or property damage, using restorative approaches where appropriate and working collaboratively with the wider team.

Coaching and Engagement

• Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.
• Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community.
• Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries.
• Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance).

There will be times when lone working will be a requirement for this role, but you will get to know the team and service, along with an induction and training prior to starting on a rota.

• Ability to manage arrears, ASB, and other non‑compliance issues using appropriate and restorative approaches.
• Good knowledge of housing legislation, safeguarding procedures, and compliance requirements, with the ability to maintain clear professional boundaries.
• Familiarity with statutory and voluntary services available to young people and ability to work proactively with a caseload to support progression towards independent living.

Skills and Abilities

• Confident in record‑keeping, including case notes, incident reporting, and health and safety checks.
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing for appropriate recording of a resident’s progression, and to evidence outcomes achieved.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including signposting and advocating for clients as necessary.

We are SIFA Fireside, the support service for any adult in Birmingham that faces homelessness. For 40 years we have supported Birmingham’s most vulnerable people through Homelessness Intervention, Prevention and Recovery services.

The Adult Lead Worker service is based at our main hub in Digbeth but provides city-wide support to adults experiencing multiple disadvantages. This service provides flexible, strengths-based advice and support to people aged 18 years plus who experience two or more of substance use, poor mental health, history of repeat homelessness and offending history. Clients may also be serially excluded from services or be at risk of exclusion from mainstream services.

This is a targeted service that aims to build resilience, improve health and wellbeing and move people towards independent living at an early stage, in order to prevent or delay the need for crisis interventions.

The Lead Workers will also act as a community navigator linking the client into local services and activities, ensuring access to and receipt of necessary care and support that will vary for each client.

Key tasks (selection of)

1. To ensure that the service operates in a strength-based way, taking a flexible and psychologically informed approach to support.

2. To ensure that clients are provided with choice and meaningful involvement in decisions about how they receive support, and in identifying and setting goals as agreed with them.

3. To work proactively to reduce barriers and support clients to access services, including for on-going health, mental health and substance use treatment / services.

4. Manage an active caseload of clients, keeping effective and up to date records and monitoring outcomes through our CRM database system.

You will hold a caseload of young people and support them on a one-to-one basis through our different treatment pathways. The role will work in partnership and liaise with other young people services throughout Buckinghamshire, to provide holistic support to young people accessing the service. About the Role 
We are looking for a creative and compassionate individual to join our team as a Dementia Creative Arts Project Worker. This is an exciting opportunity to support people living with dementia through engaging, person-centred creative sessions delivered in their own homes. 

You will work with a cohort of volunteer artists, musicians, and performers to design and deliver tailored, one-off creative sessions that enhance wellbeing, communication, and social interaction. Key Responsibilities 

• Manage a caseload of clients living with dementia or cognitive impairment

We are looking for a Housing Mobile Night Worker to provide floating support across our housing services. You will play a key role in ensuring our properties remain safe, secure, and welcoming throughout the night.

Your primary responsibility will be to undertake mobile duties across our Brighton, Hove and Worthing sites. You will start and finish each shift in Brighton, where the organisation’s works vehicle is based. As part of the role, you will provide break cover for static night staff and may be required, on occasion, to cover a static shift at one of our 24‑hour staffed properties.

During each shift, you will visit all properties and help maintain a safe, secure and supportive environment. This includes demonstrating strong communication skills, maintaining accurate records, carrying out building checks, monitoring CCTV, reporting and responding to safeguarding concerns, and ensuring all health and safety requirements are met in line with organisational policies and procedures.

The role also involves working proactively to minimise the impact of antisocial behaviour on residents and neighbouring communities. This may include one‑to‑one interventions with young people, including those experiencing a mental health crisis or requiring medical assistance.

Team Leader - Carer Peer Support (Adult Mental Health)

We are looking for someone to join our local, independent Carer-led charity, someone who has their own personal story of caring, able to use that lived experience as well as their professional skills and knowledge to help others. The postholder will collaborate extensively with our funding partner, South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust, as well as other charity delivery partners to improve the identification of, and support for, unpaid family and friend Carers of adults with mental health needs. The work may also involve identifying children and young people in caring roles and brokering access to our Young Carers Support team.

As well as leading a small, part-time team of Carer Peer Support Workers, you will work alongside them, providing front-line, individual and group dedicated support (practical, social and clinical interventions). As well as coordinating services to assist Carers with their own wellbeing needs, you will enable Carers to provide well-informed care for their friends and family. You also will be our representative for the MH Trusts’ Triangle of Care Steering Group.

This is a key role within the CSA Centre, central to our ambition to develop, understand and embed evidence-informed improvements in the response to child sexual abuse.

About the role:

The CSA Centre aims to inform and improve policy and practice at local and national levels by identifying, generating and sharing high quality evidence on what works to prevent and tackle child sexual abuse, and our extensive research, evaluation and monitoring activity is central to that mission.

As Principal Research and Evaluation Officers, you will lead a programme of research and evaluation, working closely with other research and evaluation colleagues and our team of multi-agency Practice Improvement Advisers. This is a unique opportunity to develop and deliver programmes of research and evaluation that support sustainable improvements to knowledge, understanding and practice, driving real change in the response to child sexual abuse across England and Wales.

We are looking for an experienced professional with strong skills in designing, planning and managing research and evaluation projects, in the field of child sexual abuse, or related field. You should be confident using a range of methodologies, including relevant specialist research and data analysis software and analytical approaches, and able to present findings clearly for different audiences.

We particularly welcome applications from researchers/evaluators with strong quantitative skills and experience working with large datasets or administrative data. Experience in statistical analysis, data linkage, advanced modelling or applied quantitative evaluation would be an advantage.

You will oversee multiple projects at any given time, ensuring effective planning, prioritisation and timely delivery. The role involves working with internal teams, external stakeholders and where appropriate commissioned research partners. You will contribute to high‑quality publications, guidance and resources, and support colleagues to embed evidence into practice and organisational learning.

As a Principal Research and Evaluation Officer, you will play a key role helping to prevent and tackle child sexual abuse alongside the work of our colleagues across practice, policy, communications and training. This is important work - the CSA Centre conservatively estimates that one in ten children will experience some form of child sexual abuse before age of 16, and our ambitious programmes seek to improve the knowledge, skills and confidence of professionals (social workers, teachers, social workers, doctors etc.) in identifying and responding to child sexual abuse.

CSA Centre roles are currently funded until 31 March 2027, in line with our current grant funding arrangements. This will be reviewed in late 2026, as future funding for the CSA Centre from 2027/28 onwards is confirmed.
