About the role:
Working under the direction of the Service Manager you will be primarily responsible for designing, implementing and co-ordinating recovery-focused activities. You will work with SHP colleagues, partnership agencies and those using the services to ensure the programme meets the latter’s needs. You will be responsible for delivering elements of the programme, in addition to supporting staff members, volunteers, students, clients and peers to facilitate groups and activities.
About you:
- Experience of developing, facilitating and coordinating groups and activities (including supporting others to do so too), with a demonstrable understanding of group dynamics.
- Experience of developing and maintaining positive partnership relationships with a range of internal and external services.
- Demonstrable understanding of engaging and motivating people who experience multiple disadvantages, with an awareness of the issues that may make this process challenging.
- Demonstrable experience of working with either homeless service users or clients with complex needs such as Mental Health, Substance Use, Ex Offending, and Physical Health needs.
- A strong understanding of the issues that typically disrupt progress in journeys towards independence, such as mental health, substance misuse, self-harm, domestic violence, anger management, learning impairment and frailty due to illness.

The role
FareShare believes that no good food should go to waste and is currently undertaking an expansion plan that will see us strive ever closer to that vision. As the Deputy Warehouse Manager you will be at the forefront of making this happen. As the Deputy Warehouse Manager you will oversee the warehouse and successfully manage day to day operations, as well as developing and implementing new operational practices, efficiencies and standards to as part of the management team. Food Safety and Health & Safety are at our core. You will be part of a management team responsible for the compliance in these areas, ensuring the safe storage and transport of the food, plus the safety and wellbeing of all RC staff, volunteers and visitors. Inherent within our mission is to ensure no good food goes to waste, so you will use your skills and expertise to minimise waste by working with our partners to ensure when food arrives and leaves the warehouse it is fit for consumption.
Main areas of responsibility
Operations
- Part of a management structure accountable for the day-to-day performance of the warehouse;
- Part of a management structure responsible for the development and management or resource plans to meet fluctuating food volumes, CFM demands, volunteer availability and growth plans;
- Part of a management structure for logistics planning to ensure safe, timely and cost-effective distribution of food to meet CFM needs;
- Analyse performance, food volumes, waste and volunteer requirements against KPI’s and produce reports as required by the East Anglia Regional Manager;
- Manage and provide leadership and support to staff and volunteers in the warehouse;
- Contribute to continuing innovation of operational efficiencies to achieve growth plans;
- Support the minimising of waste whilst achieving required targets for food volumes;
Standards
- Part of a management structure accountable for ensuring the FSEA warehouse and logistics operate within the guidance of FSUK policies and procedures,
- Ensure the high standard of attainment is delivered in all external and internal audits. Plus fully participate in any other audit, as required by food partners or external parties.

- Significant warehouse experience with minimum 3 years leading a team

About the role

Safety and security
- Provide a friendly and professional front-of-house welcome to residents, visitors and staff, and ensure the building is safe, secure quiet and welcoming
- Maximise the wellbeing of residents and visitors by ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols and house rules, all within the terms of tenancy agreements
- Assess and monitor the risks presented by residents to ensure they can keep themselves safe and, where possible, continue their development

Engagement with residents

We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven individual to join our Fundraising Team as the Community and Events Fundraiser. About the Council
The role of Council is to lead on the GOC’s mission to protect the public by upholding high standards in the optical professions. The Council is composed of six lay members (including the Chair) and six registrant members (i.e. registered optometrists and dispensing opticians). At least one member of the Council must work wholly or mainly in each of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. One Council member acts as a Senior Council Member whose role is to carry out the Chair’s appraisal as well as provide a sounding board for the Chair and serve as an intermediary for Council members, Executive and stakeholders as necessary.
The successful candidate will contribute to Council by exercising oversight, ensuring effective corporate governance, and making high-level policy decisions. They will be able to operate strategically and impartially; listen, communicate, and influence effectively; exercise judgment; and inspire confidence and support amongst our stakeholders.
Remuneration and time commitment
Council members are remunerated in accordance with our member fees policy (£13,962 per annum plus reasonable travel and subsistence expenses) which is linked in the candidate pack. The member fee includes time for reading and preparation.
The appointed member will be expected to commit approximately 2-3 days per month. Meetings will usually take place via MS Teams but may on occasion be held at the GOC Offices at 10 Old Bailey, London, EC4M 7NG. There are occasional online catch-up meetings - these are currently scheduled on a Tuesday evening every 6-8 weeks, from 5.30pm – 6.30pm.

About The Role
As our Development Project Officer you will work with colleagues across WWT, bringing together project teams to develop inspirational visitor experience projects and activities across WWT.
The role will give you the chance to help shape unforgettable experiences for our visitors while also working to restore wetlands and unlock their power. The work will involve procuring and managing external consultants and contractors and working with multi-disciplinary staff and volunteers at our wetland sites across the UK. The work is varied and challenging and will involve creative thinking to develop imaginative solutions and then ensuring they can be delivered on the ground - no two days will be the same.
About You

- An appropriate degree, or equivalent in landscape design, construction, conservation management or visitor centre experience.
- Practical experience of exhibit design, landscape design, construction and/or site or facilities management.

The Development Manager (Individual Giving) will focus on increasing donations from individual supporters. Working closely with the Head of Development and CEO, you'll be responsible for growing donation schemes for individual supporters, stewarding major donors, delivering public fundraising appeals and promoting opportunities for supporters to make gifts in wills.

The service will work creatively and holistically to enable young people to exit environments involving youth violence, identify and reach their goals and aspirations, move on successfully to appropriate independent living, and importantly to sustain this life. Wherever possible staff and young people will co-produce what this service looks like and what activities the young people engage in. This is a great opportunity if you are interested in therapeutic practice, and developing or using your therapeutic skills alongside the area of social action.
