The Talent Set are partnering with a leading national health charity to recruit a Senior Individual Giving Manager to drive their next phase of growth across individual giving, regular giving and appeals. This is a key role within an ambitious, high-growth fundraising team, with real scope to shape strategy, test new approaches and deliver sustainable income growth.
The role
The Senior Individual Giving Manager will lead the development and delivery of a comprehensive individual giving programme, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on campaign delivery. They will play a central role in growing income, deepening supporter relationships and ensuring an excellent supporter experience across the programme.
This role will manage and develop a small team, working collaboratively across fundraising, data and communications to maximise impact.
What you’ll do
- Lead the strategy and delivery of individual giving and regular giving programmes, with a focus on recruiting new regular givers.
- Drive income growth through insight-led, multi-channel campaigns, leading on supporter acquisition, retention and reactivation activity.
- Own budgets, forecasts and KPIs, ensuring strong performance and ROI
- Develop compelling supporter journeys and stewardship approaches
- Manage agencies and suppliers to deliver high-quality campaigns
- Line manage and develop team members, creating a positive, high-performing culture
- Use data and insight to test, learn and continuously improve performance
About you
- Significant experience delivering successful individual giving strategies, with a particular track record of growing regular giving programmes.
- Strong track record of income growth and campaign optimisation
- Experience managing budgets, forecasts and performance reporting
- Confident leader with experience managing and developing others
- Highly organised, strategic and comfortable juggling multiple priorities
- Collaborative and proactive, with excellent stakeholder management skills

This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to an ambitious heritage site and an historic charitable mission, in the heart of London.
Key responsibilities:
As Development Manager, you will support the development and delivery of the fundraising strategy for key restoration projects. You will identify and research a pipeline of prospective individual donors, high-net-worth individuals and corporates capable of supporting these capital works. You will develop high-quality grant applications in collaboration with colleagues (including a National Lottery Heritage Fund bid) and manage funder relationships through effective reporting on grant use and impact. You will refresh and manage the Friends scheme to improve member recruitment, retention and encourage upgrades to higher giving levels. You will also relaunch the legacy fundraising programme, promoting gifts in wills sensitively to Friends and visitors.
To be successful, you will need or need to be:
- Significant demonstrable experience in a fundraising or development role in a charity
- Demonstrable experience in Individual Giving or supporting Capital Campaigns.
- Demonstrable experience writing successful grant applications, ideally with previous experience of working on a successful National Lottery Heritage Fund bid.
- Experience in managing membership schemes and organising and delivering supporter events.
Salary: £36,000 - £38,000
Two-year fixed term contract (with possibility of extension), Full-time

The Role:
Our client is looking to appoint a Regular Giving and Legacy Giving Manager to oversee a sector-leading, multi-channel appeal programme to increase numbers of gifts and donors to the University. Following the launch of this leading universities bold and ambitious strategy they are preparing to launch a comprehensive fundraising campaign. The Regular Giving and Legacy Giving team will play a pivotal role in bringing about a step-change in regular, mid-value and legacy donations to the University.
You will oversee and implement the overall strategy and supporter journey for alumni and donors primarily through direct mail, telephone, email and social media.
After an internal promotion, an exciting role has arisen with opportunities for the postholder to oversee an award-winning acquisition campaign, a brand-new mid-value programme and a successful legacy marketing programme. You will be instrumental in building collaboration with the Alumni Engagement team to promote philanthropy and take alumni on a journey to their first gift.
This position is based in West London (Central Line) offering a hybrid working pattern of mostly 2 days a week which are Tuesdays and Thursdays, with some requirements to come in 3 days per week when needed.
What you would be doing:
Working across the Regular Giving & Legacy Giving team, you will oversee supporter journeys for donors, working on cases for support, appeal development and data segmentation. You will have the opportunity to pilot new ideas as well as delivering a mature and sector-leading programme.
Working across Advancement, you will build relationships with key internal stakeholders especially the Alumni Engagement team, Major Gift, and Event teams to capitalise on opportunities to embed regular giving and legacy messaging in all University activities.
What we are looking for:
- Successful track record, in direct-marketing fundraising in Higher Education or the charity sector
- Proven track record of line management and professionally developing members of staff
- Ability to build strong relationships and collaboration among key stakeholders and teams
- Significant and demonstrable experience of managing and organising projects to agreed budgets, targets and timescales
- Significant and demonstrable experience of developing and evaluating compelling and response driven copy and creative
- Significant and demonstrable experience of interrogating, analysing, manipulating and interpreting large, complex data sets for targeting and segmentation purposes

The Role

The Candidate
Proven experience in legacy giving and individual giving environments.
Ability to analyse and report on marketing effectiveness, sharing insights with teams.
Experience in managing finance and budgeting for fundraising activities.
Demonstrable ability to write engaging copy for different audiences across varied communication channels.
Ideally previous line management experience.

Contract: Permanent contract with 6-month probationary period.
Salary: Grade 4, full time rate of £38,397 per annum + 8% pension contribution. Salary rate will rise to £39,687 after 2 years employment in the role, plus any cost of living adjustments to our salary scales.
