Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective acquisition campaigns to attract new individual supporters.
• Manage outreach activities across multiple channels, including digital, mail, and events.
• Build and nurture relationships with prospective donors to convert interest into meaningful support.
• Track, evaluate, and optimise campaign performance to maximise engagement and contribution.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure messaging aligns with organisational goals.
• Maintain accurate records of supporter interactions and progress within CRM systems.

Person Specification

• Proven experience in donor acquisition or fundraising, preferably within a charitable organisation.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to inspire and engage diverse audiences.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities effectively.
• Data-driven mindset, comfortable analysing campaign metrics and deriving actionable insights.
• A collaborative approach, with the ability to work well in a team environment and build relationships across departments.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to achieving set targets.

What’s on Offer
Salary: c.£32,000 - £35,000 per annum
Hybrid: 2 days per week in office

Salary £26,457-£30,410 plus £3000 London Weighting

What you’ll do

You’ll play a key role in delivering our Individual Giving strategy, working closely with the Senior Individual Giving Manager and colleagues across both Mental Health UK and Rethink Mental Illness.

In this role, you will:

• Craft and deliver engaging multi‑channel campaigns that inspire donors and champion our cause.
• Develop stewardship journeys that surprise, delight, and retain supporters—from regular givers to payroll givers and cash donors.
• Manage relationships with agencies, printers and fulfilment partners to bring campaigns to life.
• Track, analyse and optimise campaign performance, using insight to continually improve our approach.
• Provide exceptional supporter care, responding to enquiries with empathy, efficiency and professionalism.
• Collaborate with colleagues across fundraising, communications, impact, finance, CRM and more—spotting opportunities to deepen supporter engagement.
• Ensure data is processed responsibly, ethically and in line with GDPR and the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone who is passionate, organised and ready to take ownership of exciting, impact‑driven work. You’ll thrive if you have:

• Experience in individual giving or direct marketing (charity sector desirable but not essential).
• Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns.
• A confident, collaborative working style and excellent communication skills.
• An understanding of data segmentation and a test‑and‑learn approach.
• Experience working with suppliers and agencies.
• A commitment to inclusive, equitable fundraising and supporter engagement.
• Knowledge of fundraising regulations and GDPR.

You may also have:

• A fundraising or marketing qualification.
• A desire to grow and develop professionally.

Prospectus is delighted to be supporting a national health charity in the search for a Individual Giving Officer to join their growing team. 

This is the only national charity supporting people living with lupus and those who care for them. They hold an ambition for a world where people with lupus can live full and active lives. This organisation works hard to empower people by providing information about lupus and offering support, so their voices are heard and their condition diagnosed and managed effectively. 

As the Individual Giving Officer, you will be responsible for supporting fundraising through individual donors including members and reoccuring donors. It will focus on enhancing supporter journeys, building long-term relationships through effective campaigns, stewardship and data-drive engagment. 

This person will have some experience across individual giving and have worked on delivering individual giving fundraising campaigns before. Ideally this person will have digital and email marketing experience and be an excellent communicator. 

This is a permanent part-time role orf 21 hours and offering a salary of £35,000 FTE per annum. This role is remote with occasional travel to London.
