The role of the Information and Awareness Lead at CLDF is to develop, maintain and disseminate a range of information and resources about child liver disease, for young people, families, clinicians and the general public.
You will be required to acquire and maintain a current awareness of research and clinical developments in the field of paediatric hepatology, and build relationships with partners who can support in the dissemination of information about child liver disease. This will include maintaining and developing CLDF’s profile and relationship with healthcare professionals and professional bodies, taking responsibility for health information campaigns such as Yellow Alert. The role will interface with the public on behalf of CLDF and thus will require a high standard of professionalism and customer care.
About you
You’ll be a skilled communicator with a passion for using your scientific literacy to produce and disseminate high quality information which supports families, the public and clinicians to have a current and accurate understanding of medical conditions.
You’ll be equally comfortable working collaboratively and independently, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy. You’ll be ready and able to maintain and build new contacts and relationships with professionals across the UK on behalf of CLDF, raising awareness of child liver disease in order to save and improve the lives of children and families affected by liver disease.

About the role:
This role offers flexibility for home and office working with travel to appointments to meet clients, as well as outreach sessions. Office location is Earl's Court.
As a Victim Advocate you will work Monday to Friday 9am to 4:30pm with some evening and weekend working on occasion. About the role
The Advice Services Manager will oversee PWCAC’s daily delivery of diagnostic and generalist/specialist advice services. As the main point of contact for volunteers as they provide advice to clients, the Advice Services Manager will guide them through the advice process and in the use of information resources and other research, to ensure that clients’ problems are effectively diagnosed, that the advice given is sound, and that actions are followed up appropriately.The Advice Services Manager will undertake quality checks of client case records following the Advice Quality Assessment guidelines, in line with our biennial audit and our own Policies and Procedures Manual.

Role purpose
The Ealing Advice Service (EAS) is a consortium of charities working in partnership to deliver advice and guidance to the residents of Ealing, in the absence of a Citizen’s Advice Service. Advice issues may include housing, benefits, council tax, debt, signposting etc.
The successful candidate will deliver support to enquirers and manage a caseload of individuals as agreed with the service manager. In addition to advice casework, the Advice Worker will also be expected to assist on reception in the main hub when required.
The successful candidate will be required to work alongside a team of Advice Workers employed by our partner charities with the consortium, as well as a team of volunteers.
The Advice Worker will be required to work within the Advice Quality Standard framework (AQS), adhere to Mind’s policies and procedures, as well as follow EAS procedures.

Place of work

Main purpose of job: To promote evidence-based conservation of British mammals by
- supporting the Science Officer in managing databases containing information on the distribution and density of mammals and managing Ecobat online tools
- assisting in the writing of engaging documents for technical and lay-audiences
- With the Communications and Engagement Officer, co-ordinate involvement in our citizen science surveys and projects such as the annual harvest mouse survey
- answering general enquiries and contributing to the Society’s social media output
It is expected that time will be divided approximately equally between these areas.
Place of Work: Home based with occasional UK travel.

About the role
We believe that information is key for people to be able to understand their diagnosis and make decisions to play an active role in their treatment and care. This vital service is provided by the Patient Information team at Myeloma UK, who ensure complex medical and scientific language is translated into clear and concise information for a patient audience.
The role of the Patient Information Officer is to maintain and develop reliable and trustworthy printed and online information (written and audio/visual) on myeloma and its related conditions for patients, their family, and carers.
About you
This role is ideally suited to someone who wants to use their medical or life sciences background to develop clear information to help those affected by myeloma.
We’re looking for someone with an eye for detail who can research topics and simplify complex scientific and medical information into accessible and patient-friendly language.
If you understand the power of good information, have excellent research, writing, editing and proofing skills, and the desire to support and inform people living with cancer, we’re keen to hear from you.
Experience in writing healthcare information materials, developing content for information events and general health and cancer knowledge would be an advantage for this role.
However, we are happy to consider candidates with different experiences of writing and producing content, which may include university, voluntary or personal experiences, and graduates earlier in their career are welcome to apply.

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated accredited individual as a specialist Money Advice Caseworker working within our Money Advice Team (funding from MaPS and North Somerset Council). You will be required to undertake comprehensive advice and casework on debt management, ensuring that the work conforms to the Advice Quality Standard (AQS) and MaPS Debt Advice Quality Framework. You will also provide debt advice support to non-money advice advisers and volunteers working at CANS.
The successful candidate(s) will have accredited debt advice experience in a Citizens Advice or equivalent setting and will need to have good communication skills and a commitment to delivering a high quality service. A trainee position will be considered for the right candidate.
Citizens Advice North Somerset (CANS) is an established and well regarded local independent charity who provide free, impartial and confidential advice. We undertake research & campaign work to influence policy makers and to effect change. We work in partnership with the Local Authority, The Legal Aid Agency, Macmillan Cancer Support, Debt Free South West, Wessex Water and many more local and national partners to deliver our advice services to over 7,000 clients living and working in North Somerset.

What the job involves
The Health Information Coordinator is a vital role supporting a busy team that creates health information and communications for men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer or those at high risk of developing it.
You’ll have the opportunity to play a key role in keeping all the health information on the website up-to-date and coordinating and editing the team’s social media communications. You’ll coordinate the promotion of our resources both internally and externally and help to evaluate the effectiveness of the service we provide. You’ll also develop and maintain administrative systems to support the team’s work.
The role is responsible for making sure all our health information publications are in stock to ensure we deliver an effective health information service for men and their families affected by prostate cancer.

We’re looking for a pro-active and highly organised person to join our team. You’ll be self-motivated and able to multi-task – supporting a busy team while keeping on top of your own projects. You’ll have experience of communicating complex information in plain English, as well as experience of digital content management and writing for the web and social media. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of how medical and health-related information is produced to national guidelines.
You’ll also be strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, you’ll be happy communicating with a wide range of people, from men with prostate cancer and their families to specialist clinicians and researchers. The Integration Project at Coventry Citizens Advice supports the resettlement of refugees into Coventry on government funded managed UKRS and ARAP programmes. The Integration Project is funded by Coventry City Council and the Home Office to deliver resettlement services to individuals and families from Afghanistan, Syria, North Africa, Yemen and the Middle East moving to Coventry.

Coventry Citizens Advice has been able to demonstrate excellence in a number of areas and been commended for its volunteer training, information service and partnership working. We are multi, local and national award winners in areas of Research & Campaigning, Service Development and Money Advice.
We are looking for someone who can work as an Integration Caseworker within an established diverse team. This role is to support individuals and families through the stages of integration to include: housing, finance, education, health and employment, to enable them resettling in their new homes in Coventry.
Purpose of the Job is:
- To support as a key worker, individuals and families in their resettlement into life in Coventry.
- To support individuals and families through 5 stages of integration to include: preparation, housing, finance, education, health and employment.
- To work with key partners across the city, ensuring the clients are referred/ signposted into appropriate support services and networks.
Some of the role will be prior to the families arriving; however most of the work will be supporting the families for their first 12 months living in the UK. As part of this, you will often need to refer clients to social care, medical services, education, immigration advice, and other areas.
You will need good knowledge of current Welfare Benefits and Housing regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, IT skills, and ability to work with a number of partners across the city is essential, to ensure that our clients are referred/signposted to appropriate support services and networks throughout Coventry.
This project is a partnership with Coventry City Council, Coventry Refugee and Migrants Centre, Foleshill Women’s Training, Positive Youth Foundation and Church of Assis.
