SMART is hiring! We have a vacancy for a one year maternity cover contract, for a part time mental health Community Navigator. The Navigators support people with serious mental illness, with a range of issues including: housing, benefits, finance and social isolation.

10. Be an advocate for marginalised young people, the issues they face, and youth workers and projects working with them (pursuing prophetic mischief, provocation, and taking up our unique space in the youth ministry community).
11. Make links with appropriate Christian, voluntary and statutory bodies and to represent FYT in appropriate forums and pursue opportunities for collaborative working.
12. Support the active promotion of the FYT training and resource offer.
13. Lead the monitoring and evaluation (impact assessment) of FYT’s work

Other functions:

1. Meet regularly with Line Manager for supervision.

Additional Information

• The Leadership Team is supported by a contract with Giraffe HR that assists in the day to day running of the organisation, primarily managing the finances of the organisation.
• Engagement in ongoing, regular youth work with marginalised young people is not a requirement of this post, but encouraged. FYT will be flexible where possible in order to facilitate this.

Finance Assistant (Income)

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make an impact in the delivery of the income accounting provision at Hastoe.

You will assist our Management Accountant with the accounting, management and reconciliation of Hastoe’s solar photovoltaic portfolio, including the income that Hastoe receives from Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) payments. You will also assist with general management account duties.

The role will require close working and collaboration with colleagues within the Finance team and wider organisation (in particular our Housing and Property services teams), as well as communicating externally with other stakeholders regarding our PV panel portfolio. You will also need to liaise with Hastoe’s FIT licencee and other external organisations.

You will also assist with an exciting project to modernise Hastoe’s PV panel metering and data collection processes.

Duties will include:

• Assist the Management Accounts team to input accruals, Feed-in-Tariff (FiT) payment schedules and invoices relating to Hastoe’s solar photovoltaic (PV) panel portfolio.
• Assist with administration for said PV panel portfolio, accessing online portals, monitoring status of PV panels and payments.
• Liaise with Hastoe’s FiT licensee(s) to submit and receive information relating to the panels.
• Assist with the maintenance and servicing as required of the PV panel portfolio, working closely with Hastoe’s Property Services Team.
• Assist with completing reconciliations to ensure payments are allocated and accounted for correctly.
• Assist with reconciliations, month-end and other management accounts functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and continuously develop the governance function, embedding best practices aligned with our strategy and values.
• Act as the primary trusted advisor on governance, risk and regulatory matters to the Chair, Board, CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
• Lead and develop governance frameworks, policies and structures that reflect best practice.
• Oversee planning and delivery of all governance activities, including Board meetings, Committee meetings, and the AGM.

You are able to communicate with clarity and impact, tailoring your message to diverse audiences - from policymakers to grassroots activists. You are confident working independently and collaboratively within a small, flexible team, balancing strategic vision with practical delivery.
