About us
Join our team at the MPS Society, one of the leading rare genetic disease charities in the UK aiming to transform the lives of over 1500 individuals and their families UK-wide who are affected by MPS, Fabry and other related lysosomal diseases.
We are expanding our small, dedicated, Support team who raise awareness, provide information and practical guidance alongside support and advocacy relating to health and social care, housing, education, transition, independent living, palliative care, and bereavement. This team also contribute to the development of our resources and facilitate project work such as youth engagement, advisory boards, and support groups.
Ideal candidate
As a Support & Advice Officer, you will provide administrative and initial frontline support. You will have the confidence to respond to queries, triaging when required. This is an essential car user post. The applicant must hold a current UK driver’s licence, with no more than 6 points, have access to a car and be able and willing to drive UK wide as required.
This role is offered on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days in our Amersham office each week. As part of the role, UK wide travel is necessary. which may on occasion include early morning and/or evening working and sometimes overnight stays. Job Purpose
The purpose of the IT Manager role is to lead CR’s internal IT operations and infrastructure. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the IT Manager will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of our IT systems, ensuring their reliability, security, and alignment with the company's strategic goals.
While the role is based in London, it needs to provide oversight to the global IT systems of the organisation, ensuring systems will function effectively in all operating contexts, taking into account issues such as internet bandwidth and electricity reliability.
The role is supported by an IT Officer who handles the majority of user-facing support issues, and can draw on a long-term part-time IT consultant who has a deep knowledge of the organisation’s IT systems and infrastructure. The Information Governance team are the champions of Data Protection and Information Governance within Alzheimer's Society. The team’s key objective is to enable all areas to use information appropriately whilst achieving the Society’s overall aim of creating a world without dementia. At Ambitious about Autism, we're currently looking for a Helpdesk Administrator/IT Junior Support Engineer to join our team.
You'll Administer the IT Helpdesk function across all Ambitious About Autism sites, ensuring efficient handling of support requests. You'll monitor and report on the progress of Helpdesk requests, ensuring timely completion and keeping stakeholders informed throughout the resolution process.

We are looking for someone who has:
- Demonstrated experience providing high-quality IT support through an IT Helpdesk environment, serving a diverse range of stakeholders.

As Scientific and Patient Information Manager, you will work in the Medical Education and Scientific Engagement Team at Myeloma Patients Europe (MPE). Under the Department Head and MPE Leadership Team, collaborating with the Head of Communications, you will oversee the following projects and activities:
Patient information and communications management (Approx. 55%)
A key role of MPE is providing up-to-date, comprehensive, and patient friendly educational materials and tools for our members and the patient community, as well as communicating about scientific advances in myeloma and AL amyloidosis. This role will be responsible for working across MPE to develop a patient information and educational plan and develop and deliver resources. MPE expects the appointed person to:
- Perform efficient scientific watch (monitoring advancements in research and clinical development)
- Lead the development and implementation of a patient information plan based on member and patient needs, scientific advances and cross-department projects
- Monitor the readership and usage of MPE patient information materials, incorporating website user analytics and feedback from users to increase the reach and impact of the department
- Research, write, and develop patient information and educational materials (including factsheets, Q&As, webinars and infographics). Manage the execution of materials from development through to publication in coordination with Department Head, other MPE departments, and external stakeholders (key opinion leaders, industry, researchers, proofreaders etc.)

MPE has developed an online clinical trial search tool of European myeloma and AL amyloidosis clinical trials for patients and advocates. This role will be responsible for the management, improvement, and promotion of this core MPE programme, with a focus on ensuring the tool and content is patient friendly, including:
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate database of all industry and academic recruiting myeloma, AL amyloidosis, MGUS, and smouldering myeloma clinical trials in Europe
- Write and format lay / patient friendly clinical trial descriptions for the Navigator website
- Liaise with industry and academic clinical trial sponsors, clinical trial sites, and other stakeholders to maintain database up-to-date
- Liaise with web developers to manage the Navigator website, make enhancements, and fix technical issues
- Oversee implementation of translated materials in multiple languages
- Elicit feedback from patients, family members, clinicians and other stakeholders to ensure continued improvement and enhancements
- Manage website news and content

About you

- Maintain the technology risk register and report to the Head of Finance and Resources to support compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including GDPR.
- Promote cyber security best practices across the organisation, including coordinating periodic phishing tests and reporting outcomes via outsourced suppliers.

Stakeholder liaison & internal enablement

Essential
- Reliable with a proactive ‘can do’ attitude and flexibility to adapt the role as the organisation’s needs evolve
- Experience coordinating IT services, suppliers or technology projects within a small to medium-sized organisation
- Strong organisational skills and stakeholder management experience
- Clear and confident communicator, able to translate technical issues for non-technical staff
- Working knowledge of common business IT systems including Microsoft 365, cloud services, CRMs, and basic networking concepts
- Good understanding of information security and data protection principles (e.g. multi-factor authentication, backups, GDPR)
- Comfortable working independently and managing competing priorities effectively

The Role
We’re looking for an exceptional Head of IT Operations & Governance to oversee and advance the organisation’s technology infrastructure, governance, and information security.
This is a strategic and hands-on leadership position, ensuring the foundation’s systems are secure, efficient, and scalable to support its expanding global mission. You’ll manage outsourced providers, optimise cloud and Microsoft 365 systems, and ensure the organisation maintains exemplary standards in cybersecurity, compliance, and data protection.
Confidentiality, integrity, and discretion are paramount. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the pressures surrounding technology management in a global, fast-moving, and high-stakes environment balancing operational delivery with the need for strategic foresight and resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of a secure, scalable IT environment aligned with organisational goals.
- Oversee the governance, risk, and compliance framework, embedding data protection and cybersecurity best practices.
- Drive strategic initiatives including Microsoft 365 and SharePoint adoption, digital process improvement, and infrastructure modernisation.
- Manage third-party service providers and ensure high-quality, responsive IT support.
- Establish strong monitoring, reporting, and audit mechanisms to maintain readiness and accountability.

- Senior-level experience in IT operations, governance, or systems management.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint environments.
- Proven track record in cybersecurity, data protection, and compliance frameworks.

Working Arrangements
- This is a hybrid position, requiring at least 2 days per week onsite at either the Central London or Amsterdam office.
