The role

As Partner Engagement Manager you will promote the work of Family Fund and maintain a positive profile within the disability sector in Northern Ireland and with key Government/political stakeholders.

You will undertake a range of public affairs and policy activities that help sustain and grow our government funding and that secure positive outcomes for disabled children and their families. You will be acknowledged as a senior Family Fund representative across the disability sector, deputising for the Group CEO, or Directors on committees and at events as required.

You will also identify growth/income opportunities and feed through to relevant internal teams, providing follow up support, as required.

• Ensuring that Family Fund’s profile remains high amongst key organisations.
• Engaging with Ministers and MLAs to building awareness and support for Family Fund’s work.
• Family Fund’s key point of contact for all partners and stakeholders in Northern Ireland.
• Engaging in sector working groups and consortia to help secure improved support for families raising disabled children.
• Inputting to government policy development via consultations and direct work with government departments.
• Promoting the support offered by Family Fund to support demand generation, including targeted work in relation to our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion objectives.
• Supporting our Fundraising Team in identifying and securing funding opportunities that allow Family Fund to provide improved grants/information and support services to families.

About you 

For this role you will need to have experience of presenting to external stakeholders and representing an organisation in a professional capacity. Ideally you will have some knowledge/experience of public affairs or policy development work.

To be successful in this role you will need to be self-motivated and be able to engage positively with different teams. You must be flexible, adaptable and resilient to work demands and change. This post is home based with regular travel.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced communications professional to join our Campaigns and Regional Engagement team. You will assist in raising the profile of physiotherapy throughout London, the South-East Coast, the East Midlands and the East of England, and support our work to influence key stakeholders.

Through the development of effective communications, you will engage and inspire Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) members to promote the value of physiotherapy in their communities, whilst also building opportunities to increase the profession’s influence with local decision makers. The role also involves substantial input into CSP campaigns and events.

First class communication skills, confidence and self-motivation are essential attributes for this role, along with the ability to work effectively across team boundaries. Educated to degree level, or equivalent, you will also need expertise in at least one, and preferably several, of the following: stakeholder engagement, media and PR, online communications, video production, public affairs, writing for publications and event management.

*You must be able to travel within the regions specified and be willing to undertake some work in the evenings and on weekends. Homeworking is subject to meeting assessment requirements, which includes a minimum broadband speed of 18Mbps and a dedicated space to work from.

Summary

The Education and Growing Faith department is looking to hire a Senior Programme Officer to support the church schools and the wider education sector. Working in the Operations Team, you'll be directly supporting the Head of Operations with project work and the wider NSE with system and process support. The National Society for Education (NSE) is both an NCI and a Royal-charter charity. It's aims are to support Church schools and the wider education sector by developing leaders, shaping policy and growing faith.

The NSE leads the Church of England's national work in education in partnership with 41 Diocesan Boards of Education and approximately 4,700 Church of England schools. We also support the national education work of the Church in Wales, which includes around 150 schools. Our presence extends to work with community schools and academy trusts, as well as higher and further education through numerous chaplaincies, providing spiritual support and guidance to children and young people, and to adults.

What you'll be doing

The purpose of this role is to:

• Support the Head of Operations with policy development and reviews.

Are you an experienced Chartered Financial Accountant, with extensive experience working in Financial Operations (FinOps) within international charities? Are you looking for a role that gives you the autonomy to shape and develop the FinOps function, as well as a role within the Senior Leadership Team?

We have just entered a new five-year strategy period and are looking for someone to take a strategic, long-term approach to developing our FinOps capabilities, further developing an increasingly professionalised function. We are a growing organisation and will be further expanding internationally over the strategy period.

PRIMARY OUTPUTS

To contribute to raising funds through high-quality bid and application processes which includes supporting the development of funding applications, stakeholder engagement. Evaluation reports and research underpinned by excellent communication skills. 

To raise awareness of DMWS services through print, web and social media activity.

Key Responsibilities 

• Contribute to the writing of consistently high-quality funding applications and bid documents which are accurate, substantiated, and contain compelling content.  Ensure these are submitted to deadline and in line with the funders criteria as well as DMWS aims. 

• Write, edit and submit evaluation reports as required by the funder – working with the Grant Manager and operational colleagues for support. 

• Develop, update, and maintain an electronic project bid library resource, including written templates and application responses. 

• Maintain an up to date register of all grant and trust fund providers applied to for projects, submission deadlines, and other relevant information, including timeframes for re-applying. 

• Research and assess potential opportunities to obtain funding from grant making trusts and foundations, organisations, in order to sustain and develop DMWS services against strategic aims. 

• Contribute to the development and updating of DMWS Website 

• Develop and promote content for DMWS Social Media channels and other communication mechanism including print and online. 

• Identify and build strong internal and external relationships. 
   

As and when required, attend at various meetings and events at headquarters or other locations. 

Work with other head office and operational colleagues to share intelligence and contribute to the delivery of DMWS Strategy and organisational sustainability.

About StreetVet

StreetVet is a fast-growing national charity, committed to providing free vet care to the pets of those experiencing homelessness and to keeping pets and owners together to maintain the human-animal bond. Title: Volunteering Officer

Main purpose of the role

The Volunteering Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the StreetVet volunteering programme. This role will have overall responsibility for recruiting, onboarding, and supporting StreetVet volunteers as well as establishing positive working relationships with volunteers to ensure they have a fulfilling and rewarding volunteering experience.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead the recruitment and induction of volunteers.

· Provide effective and timely administration of the volunteering programme.

· Provide highly effective support to all StreetVet volunteers to ensure a positive volunteering experience and offer training opportunities to develop volunteers in their roles.

· Provide regular communication to volunteers e.g. a regular newsletter, to update them on information relevant to their volunteering and keep them up to date of StreetVet’s wider activities, achievements and plans.

· Implement initiatives to reward and recognise volunteers for their efforts and engage with national initiatives e.g. Volunteer Week to celebrate the contributions of StreetVet volunteers.

· Arrange opportunities for StreetVet volunteers to come together and share their experiences of volunteering at StreetVet.

· Work with the Head of Volunteering to implement processes to gather feedback on the volunteering experience at StreetVet (e.g. volunteer surveys, exit interviews) and create relevant action plans to continue with areas of good practice and implement suggestions/recommendations where feasible.

· In collaboration with the Head of Volunteering, provide support, training and guidance to staff managing/working with volunteers.

Job Title: Families Employment Specialist – Maternity Cover

Location: Home-based with significant travel

Salary: £32,208

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week (part time or flexible working options considered)

The successful candidate will be helping the families and carers of veterans with health conditions gain and retain employment and develop their careers.

Launched two years ago with pilot funding from the Armed Forces Covenant Trust Fund this service has expanded with additional funding secured until 2027.

We are looking for people who place importance in values such as empathy, collaboration and adaptability and are especially interested in applicants who have lived-experience within the armed forces community as a spouse or family member.

We believe in second chances and the transformative power of compassionate care. We are committed to providing comprehensive support to all individuals, regardless of their criminal record or background.

This role will be home-based with all necessary IT equipment provided therefore applicants will need an appropriate space to work at home. The families services is delivered mainly online with flexibility required for occasional evening / weekend working to meet the needs of the families we support.

Regular travel will be required to attend events and visit partners to spread the word about the service and build referral pathways nationwide.  There will be occasional travel required for national team meetings in Richmond. These currently take place 3 times a year and require an overnight stay. There will also be periodic in-person meetings with colleagues which can take place at a convenient location locally.
