The important stuff 

Salary: from £65,000, flexible dependent on experience

Contract: Minimum 6-12 month fixed-term contract

Hours: 5 days per week (4 considered), 9.30am – 5.30pm, with occasional evening work for events such as our Spear Celebrations.

Person Specification

• Strong strategic thinking and business and financial acumen – experience in a management consulting or financial management role is essential

Key Responsibilities
 

Strategy Development and Implementation

• Leading the organisation through the iterative development and implementation of strategic projects to serve the ambition of Resurgo, to “inspire and equip organisations to deliver ambitious and sustainable social change”
• Provide direction and support to Heads of Department, setting them up to succeed in the implementation of ambitious plans
• Line management of the Strategy Managaer, who project manages and drives the delivery of annual departmental targets and strategic projects across the organisation.

Finance

• Line management of Head of Finance, providing strategic leadership in the development of the finance function and oversight of organisational financial management
• Lead the annual planning process, working with the Head of Finance and Director of People, Culture & Operations to shape and deliver annual financial planning

Oversight of Governance, Risk and Opportunity

• Executive Chair of the Strategy, Finance and Risk steering group, owning the most significant risks and opportunities facing Resurgo at an organisational level, ensuring actions are taken to mitigate risks and that we are set up to maximise opportunity
• Responsible for overseeing governance structures and ensuring they are fit for purpose as the organisation develops and grows
• Supporting the Executive Assistant to the CEO in the facilitation of the effective running of the Boards of Resurgo Trust and Resurgo Consulting, including planning and overseeing Board and key Steering Group meetings.

Active Participation in and Support for Resurgo’s team and mission

• Help build and develop Resurgo’s ethos and Christian life as a team member, including leading and contributing to daily team prayer meetings as an integral part of Resurgo’s operation and for the success of its mission

About the role

The CFOO will report to the Chief Executive and play a pivotal role for us, as we broaden and deepen our impact, transitioning from local to national scale. You will oversee and drive development of all financial and operational management, processes and reporting. As we continue to evolve, you will lead the integration of our most developed place of work, west London, with our new place of work, Wigan in the Greater Manchester area, followed by a third place in the near/medium-term.

Working closely with the Chief Delivery and Impact Officer, who oversees all of our collaborative work in our communities with children and families, you will lead the development of our operating model for our growing range of activities. Ensuring we have the highest quality governance, business planning, finance, compliance and risk management functions, as well as robust systems, processes and policies to do our best work will be vital. About you

We seek an experienced strategic leader who has held a broad finance and operations position, with a track record of interacting at Board level and presenting clear financial and management information. Whilst you don’t have to be financially qualified, we do need someone with strong financial acumen and demonstrable ability to monitor, interpret and communicate financial information effectively. You will be experienced at scaling organisations and have delivered new and/or successful improvements to existing systems and processes, with a track record of driving changes or improvements to business plans, policies and procedures.

You will have a passion for our purpose, commitment to our mission and alignment with our organisational values. Whilst being robust about process, you need to be able to flex to changing circumstances and be skilled at getting the best out of people as well as driving a culture of continuous improvement and learning. Purpose of Post

To support the Events Manager in planning, executing and establishing an annual programme of high impact 'must do' major events that are bold, popular, inclusive, sustainable and truly stand out in the national calendar.
To deliver value to defined audience groups, inviting people to share in the City's unique treasures and providing them with memorable opportunities to experience these through the events programme.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Undertake planning, coordination, production and stakeholder-relations duties for the major events programme.
• Manage internal approval processes, including required applications to Highways, Environmental Health, City Surveyor's and other internal teams.
• Coordinate production logistics, including infrastructure, power, cleansing and security.
• Support the Events Manager by ensuring compliance across licencing, health and safety and other areas; creating, collecting and processing relevant event documents supported by the role (e.g. risk assessment and method statements, public liability insurance certification etc).
• Support the Events Manager to programme and schedule major event content, contributing ideas, assessing timings in relation to the proposed calendar, and advising on logistics.
• Attend all events designated for the role and assume an event/stage manager function as appropriate, responding to any issues as they arise during the event (deferring to the Events Manager where necessary) and ensuring that the highest standards of production and visitor experience are maintained at all times.

• Be the main point of contact for artists, event producers, production teams, agencies, suppliers and contractors regarding all event specifications and requirements.
• Support the Events Manager so that all events are delivered on time and to budget, updating budgets and records as required.

• Experience required

• Project management qualification or significant experience of managing event-based projects, ideally (but not essentially) within a cultural or tourism context.
• Training (or good level of experience) in compliance, to include licencing, health and safety, crowd management and/or traffic management.
• Experience of managing cultural events, ideally in an outdoor context. .

• The ability to multitask, prioritise and manage multiple events and projects against challenging deadlines.
• Proven event and stage management skills with demonstrable experience of planning and delivering events
• A well-organised and methodical approach to event planning and delivery.
• The ability to think on your feet; to crisis manage and take corrective action at events if required.

The Director of Operations will work as part of the management team to develop and implement the organisation’s strategy and operational plans and to build the longer term sustainability of the organisation. They will be required to deputise for the Chief Officer in their absence and assist in the overall management of the organisation. The Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Foundation (GSTF) is undergoing an exciting change and building its own Fundraising function and so are growing its Systems team. This will first support that change but also continue to seek ways to improve how technologies and systems can help the Foundation achieve its goals.

We are excited to be expanding our in-house IT team by recruiting Senior Technical Engineer. We are in the process of bringing our IT helpdesk service in-house, to do so we need a motivated, experienced, patient and friendly third line engineer to join our newly formed team.

We are looking for a solid technical skillset, primarily with Microsoft365 PaaS and IaaS assets, but also someone who can take technical leadership for networking and other services and hosted applications across the organisation.

You will need to be an enthusiastic team-player, who is happy to work on reactive support issues as the need arises, can interact positively and constructively with IT colleagues, leadership and normal users, and serve as a proactive and engaged member of the IT team. The function is in a process of expansion & development, and you will need to demonstrate the benefits of internal, dedicated IT staff within a growing organisation

Key Responsibilities

• The Senior Technical Engineer will be the final escalation stage for support, so will have a pragmatic and level headed approach to problem and change management, to work closely with other support staff and the IT Manager to provide a good quality support service for end users.
• Comfortable completing technical work if needed, as well as having more complex issues escalated to you from junior colleagues in the team, or offering guidance where possible. You’ll be able to authorise change requests in place of the IT manager, and escalate to them if necessary.
• The post-holder, our Support technicians and IT Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day requirements of the foundation and it’s subsidiaries. Including, set up and management of the IT equipment as required. The role is a permanent hybrid role, 30% of your time will be based in our London, Southwark office.
• You will support the Senior IT Technician and IT manager to embed the IT procedures, offering training and guidance to employees as required. You will be the final escalation point and provide advanced technical support, as well as taking on system support. You’ll work closely with the IT Manager to work on implementing new solutions and take ownership of the technical aspects of project work
• The Senior Technical Engineer will also take a hand in some supplier relationship building/ management if necessary in order to support the smooth flow of work between systems we utilise here at the Foundation.

Skills and Experience

• Experience working as a Senior / 3rd Line Engineer on Microsoft Technologies in a similar scale environment
• Able to work autonomously and exercise good judgement to resolve complex technical changes, issues or contribute towards project decisions.
• Responsible for responding and resolving tasks relating to all levels of IT queries and acting as an escalation route for the IT team for more complex and project related tasks.
• Act as a technical reference point, identify opportunities for improvement, propose new technology or working practices to improve the operation of the Technology team and wider company.
• Work closely with IT manager for the benefit of the tech environment.
• Ensure that reactive and pre-emptive IT support actions are carried out competently, professionally and in a timely manner following the direction of the IT Manager.
• Mentor and guide less experienced IT support team members.
• Excellent communication skills, dealing with both users and stakeholders
• Incident management and ownership and good prioritisation
• Service ownership and taking responsibility for a great level of service.
• Comfortable formulating and delivering user training and guidance.

Technical skills:

• Advanced Microsoft365 support, administrating Azure, Entra, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint and other m365 services and platforms, providing reactive support and proactive service improvement as required.
• As the organisation has a hybrid working policy, you’ll be supporting users both in person and virtually, and will need to promote a forward thinking, fluid approach to hybrid working with an eye on information security.
• Manage support lifecycle, to investigate and resolve or escalate tickets as required; Keep detailed notes and time entries to monitor effective prioritisation and resolution
• Maintain and support Intune-managed hardware inventory – windows on surface pro, byod, android and apple devices – and application clients
• Follow the existing procedures and act as a champion of documentation within the support function, amend and create user guides where applicable; Provide inductions for new colleagues and ongoing training
• Promote an inclusive, collaborative, and respectful working environment (lead by example)
• Ensuring effective and secure local area network management, to include routers, switches & Wifi, in conjunction with IT Manager, and providing assistance to the Office team with supporting Print and AV
• Supporting Microsoft Office suite, Windows 11 and web applications; software installation and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting and configuring Azure servers and architecture, anaging changes in Azure, AAD/Entra and exhange online.
• Experience of supporting and configuring Microsoft365 platform – including Sharepoint, Onedrive, Teams, Bookings, Forms
• Experience configuring Microsoft Intune – understanding configuration profiles, application packaging, compliance management and Autopilot
• Experience in scripting (eg PowerShell)
• Experience in Power BI a bonus
• Experience of working within the ITIL framework or working knowledge of service management concept
• Support hybrid meeting solutions and cloud printing
• Work to support and troubleshoot integrations into our tenant through a variety of systems and platforms

About the PVRI
We’re a small charity with a global reach and an important purpose: to reduce the burden of pulmonary vascular disease.

PVD is a serious condition which can lead to heart damage and trigger symptoms like breathlessness, chest pain, fatigue, poor growth, fainting and light-headedness. It can reduce both quality of life and length of life, but it isn’t widely recognised, or well-understood.

We bring together an international network of professionals to improve clinical care, education and PVD research. The network comprises thousands of clinicians, scientists, academics and industry partners, supported by our small team in Bermondsey, London. Together we deliver conferences, e-learning, an academic journal, and we raise awareness of the condition.

Much of the work is done by international working groups, and we’re seeking a new Project Coordinator to provide administrative and project support to those groups.

About the role
The job involves co-ordinating and servicing meetings across different time zones, maintaining workgroup records, developing surveys, pulling together academic papers for publication, event planning, and project work.

We’re looking for someone with excellent organisational and administrative skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to write and adapt complex information to produce clear, accurate and accessible documents in English. The role

As a member of our corporate services directorate, you will be proactive in maintaining quality and high availability IT systems by providing first and second-line IT support to over 350 staff across 4 offices and around 200 associates in a smaller capacity. This includes user management, telephone system administration, backups, software compliance, hardware refreshes, documentation, and user training. This is also an excellent opportunity for you to hone and develop your IT skills through the learning and development opportunities that are available.

About you

As a key member of the IT team, you will be an active team player with the ability to engage with the people who use our IT systems. You will have sound problem-solving skills and be thorough in your approach with an excellent eye for detail. Highly organised, you will be able to manage your time and priorities well. We are mostly a Microsoft environment and you will be able to demonstrate the fundamental skills to go with that (Windows 10/11, Office 365 apps and administration with Active Directory). You will be able to troubleshoot basic network issues and manage corporate backup and antivirus solutions.

Primary location of role and hybrid working
