Our Enterprise Directorate is the entrepreneurial arm of Volunteering Matters with a main purpose of providing commercially viable products and services to a range of UK leading businesses. Employee Volunteering (EV): We use our vast network of charity partners across the UK to connect our clients volunteers to suitable community partner organisations and facilitate the process throughout, concluding with volunteer feedback and impact measurement. We take care of the research, identification of bespoke opportunities, all health & safety, risk management and logistics, giving our clients the time to focus on maximising engagement, promoting the programme and inspiring their potential volunteers to get involved. Role Purpose:
The Marketing Manager will be part of the wider Enterprise Directorate team and report to the Director of Enterprise. They will play a critical role in supporting our planned growth for both EV & GTG and future products and services as we add to our portfolio. Although part of a charity, we are very much looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit that thinks commercially about how we can grow our brands. Key Duties:
- Create and implement a marketing plan to support the growth of the Enterprise Directorate
- Plan and deliver events (both online and in person) to help promote our brands and to act as lead generation
- Review and update our suite of marketing and promotional materials including, brochures, proposal documents and impact reports.
- Work closely with our business development team to help influence existing and new clients to grow income generation.
- Create a content plan for our social media channels and targeted business to business strategy to help raise awareness of our brands and ultimately generate leads.
- Manage digital channels to support our overall aims including; GTG website, EV microsite, blogs/content, eNews, LinkedIn and social media channels.

Role Purpose
Volunteering Matters are looking for a talented, dynamic, and professional Project Manager to join our team. The right candidate would be someone who can work flexibly while demonstrating a strong understanding and commitment to our organisational values.
As our Project Manager, you will lead a team of staff and volunteers, playing a key role overseeing, managing, delivering and developing our work in local communities across Edinburgh and the Lothians. As a senior member of the team, you will role model our organisational values and demonstrate excellent leadership skills. You will develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, volunteers, people accessing our programmes, funders, partners, and other stakeholders.
You will be responsible for the quality delivery and development of our established Family Supporters programme in Edinburgh, as well as our new Grandmentors programmes in Edinburgh, and East Lothian. These programmes offer practical, social, and emotional support to families and young people (including those who are care experienced or who have Adverse Childhood Experiences), empowering them to face a range of life challenges.
We attract, recruit, train, match and support dedicated volunteers to help families and young people every step of the way, spending 1:1 time together on a personalised set of goals and outcomes. As an ambitious organisation, we hope to further grow and develop our work across Edinburgh and the Lothians over the coming weeks, months, and years. Asset Manager

About the role
As the Asset Manager for Sustrans you will be responsible for the management of the structural assets forming our Estate. You will be responsible for ensuring inspection and repairs are carried out, making sure the estate is kept in a safe and serviceable condition.
The estate is comprised primarily of former railway land and structural assets (approximately 800 bridges, viaducts, tunnels, culverts and retaining walls); also supporting 333 miles of the National Cycle Network. Sustrans either owns these or is responsible for some or all of their maintenance.
This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans. Candidates can be based anywhere in the UK, with regular travel expected across the estate.
About you
You should have a background in civil engineering, with substantial experience of bridge and structures asset management including bridge inspection, structural assessment and structural design, particularly former or current railway structures.
You will build relationships with ease, enabling you to effectively manage engineers delivering maintenance works, along with developing and maintaining constructive relationships with external partners such as Railway Paths Ltd.
We ask you demonstrate your project management skills, and you must be able to evidence delivering multiple projects to budget and on time.
You will be familiar with current H&S legislation and practice and competent with its application to ensure all regulatory requirements are complied with.

The role
- Contribute towards Energy Saving Trust’s objective of becoming the market leader in the provision of sustainable transport services

Role Purpose

You will directly support young people aged 16 to 24 across Glasgow, who may have complex and challenging barriers that prevent them from achieving a positive pathway towards the next stage of their lives. Role Purpose

AfID is recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist in assurance services for international institutional donors such as the UN, World Bank, FIFA, DFID & The Gates Foundation. Short audit assignments would suit experienced qualified audit professionals with grant audit / management experience, ideally in a not-for-profit/ international development context.
Role overview
Complete international grant expenditure audits for a diverse range of projects (grant recipients) funded by international donor institutions ranging from emergency aid, to long term development in areas such as agriculture, health or infrastructure, to more commercial projects such as SME development or technical research. Assignments are 1-3 weeks in length and based across the European mainland and the developing world. These are offered on an assignment by assignment basis, one to two months in advance. Please note there is no guaranteed period of work within the contract. Contractors can be based outside the UK on the European mainland but must be able to work within the EU.
Requirements
- Qualified ACA / ACCA or equivalent – 5+ years post qualified experience
- Grant management and audit and reporting experience with international institutions. Preference given to individuals that have worked on UN or EC grant assurance assignments
- Diplomacy and cultural sensitivity while working with a hugely diverse range of clients and beneficiaries
- A real interest in international development and associated funding structures
- Fluency in a second language Spanish, German, French, Arabic, Portuguese, Mandarin, Russian or Turkish
- Excellent communication, report writing and presentation skills in English.

Personal attributes:
- At least 5+ years of relevant audit experience
- Ability to work under pressure; Strong planning, organisational and time management skills
- Sound technical and analytical skills, report writing and presentation skills
Passionate about international travel and development and willing to work in international locations. Individual must be prepared to travel to challenging location when it is deemed safe to do so. Individuals must also be able to demonstrate effective past working practices when working remotely with a range of clients.
