Reports to: Area Manager
Your starting salary will be £26,007, increasing to £26,527 after 6 months, (providing you have completed your L3 training and subject to successfully passing your probation. At 12 months (subject to satisfactory performance and progression in your qualification) your salary will increase to £27,058 - providing you have signed your training agreement and commenced your L4 training. Any further increases will be in line with our annual Personal Development Review (PDR) process.

The National Careers Service
The National Careers Service provides free, professional careers information, advice, and guidance to help you make decisions about learning, training, and work at any stage of your career. The service is available to anyone living in England and aged 13 or over.

The Team
As part of the National Careers Service team in the Southeast, you will be part of a small cohort of highly experienced and qualified Careers Advisers provide Careers Information, Advice, and Guidance (CIAG) by various methods including, Face to Face, Telephone and Virtual (MS Teams) appointments. The success of team is their excellent communication and ability to support each other on a daily basis.
The Role
As a Trainee Careers Adviser, you will be responsible for the daily delivery of Careers Information, Advice, and Guidance to adults on a range of opportunities, including learning, career paths and employment.
You will have some experience in working with people within the community from a variety of backgrounds using various methodologies to empower customers as they seek to overcome barriers to progression and make informed career decisions about their futures.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate their abilities to achieve their goals on an outcome-based contract supporting others to achieve their goals. You will be organised, flexible in your abilities to support the needs of the charity.
From time to time, you will be required to attend CXK Head Office (Ashford, Kent) for meetings, events and other organisational activities.

Minimum Criteria
· Maths and English GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent)
· Experience or knowledge of education, employment, or training provisions

Essential Criteria
· Deliver careers advice to customers from a range of locations, including Job Centre Plus, Libraries, Further Education Colleges, and community venues
· Confident users of IT, highly organised with excellent time management skills
· Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle for travel across county to support the charity’s needs as directed by the Area Manager
· To create realistic action plans with customers, helping them to gain education, employment, or training with clear and unbiased information, advice and guidance that is based on the needs of customers
· Accurately record all required outcomes and notes using an online database/CRM in line with data protection and contract requirements

POST: Healthy Relationships Project Worker

The Healthy Relationship Worker will be responsible for supporting both young people and families around topics relating to relationships and sexual health through delivery of one to one and group work support.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide a support service to young people across Cardiff, working in partnership with statutory and voluntary professionals to ensure young people are supported with their sexual health and relationship needs.

The Governance Team manages the effective operation of The Scout Association’s Board of Trustees and its sub-Committees. Our Governance Officers have a key role in the management of these and the production of the documentation required to facilitate each meeting.
We are looking for a highly organised and competent individual who has good experience of minute taking at Board and Committee level, and who is keen to broaden their knowledge in the third sector and in the company secretarial profession. You’ll have a keen eye for detail and confidence and sensitivity to manage strategic level information in a professional manner.
Time management will be key in ensuring you are fully prepared for the committee cycle which includes agenda preparation, in consultation with the Chair and key staff support, collation and distribution of papers, taking minutes at the meetings and sharing agreed actions with Committee members.
You’ll be expected to provide ongoing support to the Chair of the Board, including diary management, and support to our trustees, including ad hoc enquiries, inductions, arranging appraisals and booking accommodation.
As a volunteer led organisation, The Scout Association holds Board meetings at weekends and Committee meetings during normal office hours (between 9am and 5pm) as well as some in the evening and at weekends. Reasonable notice will be given when required to attend these meetings.
Governing Documents and Events
The Governance Team also manage the Association’s Policy, Organisation and Rules (POR) document which needs careful scrutiny and annual updates in line with changes to legislation and operationally within the movement.
Working with the Governance Manager, the Governance Officer is responsible for providing statistical reports on a quarterly basis for the Board.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Company Secretary and Governance Manager with effective management of the Committees serviced by the Governance Team. This includes being aware of agenda items prior to each meeting to mitigate any potential issues that may arise.
- Taking the minutes of agreed Committee and Board meetings and producing a set of minutes for approval within agreed time period.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to take responsibility for the day-to-day work of our innovative Hearing Voices Projects. To be successful in this role, you need to have an in-depth understanding of the Hearing Voices Movement and the role of peer support groups within this. You will ideally have experience of supervising or mentoring volunteers and some project management experience.
With the confidence and organisational skills necessary to take the lead on busy and diverse projects, you will be required to engage with a wide range of stakeholders (from the adult mental health, prison, forensic and youth sectors). As such, this role is best suited to someone who is flexible enough to modify their approach to suit the situation.
We are looking for someone with strong facilitation skills who is able to deliver and design training that communicates the values of the Hearing Voices Network clearly and accessibly.
Among other tasks, you will be required to:
- Oversee the current Hearing Voices Projects to ensure they are consistent and embody the Mind in Camden and Hearing Voices Movement ethos.
- Be part of some of the frontline work, including facilitating groups.
