The Role
Lead the development, planning, recruitment and stewardship strategy for U/HNW philanthropy prospects, donors and funders

Be responsible for ensuring excellent stewardship of all philanthropic donors.

Oversee the individual major donor portfolios of the Executive Director of F&E and Director, (PSC) to ensure cross communication and sustained progress.

Lead the team, providing clear direction and support whilst proactively contributing to an inclusive workplace culture.

About the role

The Director of Membership Services provides strategic leadership for the Membership Services directorate and is therefore responsible for the development and implementation of all Imperial College Union strategy relating to Student Activities, Representation, Advice, Governance and Policy. The role ensure the delivery and resourcing of operating plans, policy and operating procedures to ensure that the Union delivers its strategic objectives across its Membership Services.

The successful candidate will ensure that the directorate develops and delivers impactful and inclusive services which champion and enhance the Student Experience at Imperial College. A mission-driven and impact focused single programme NGO is seeking a Finance Business Partner with strong financial modelling skills for a part-time, fully remote fixed term contract for approximately 4-6 months. The role is to support the Finance Director, HR team, CEO and other stakeholders with business partnering, along with specific financial modelling projects.

The organisation’s mission is to get 3-6 year old children in rural Africa to thrive. They have developed an award-winning Early Childhood Development programme, proven its impact through rigorous evaluation, and scaled it with governments in both Ghana and Uganda. It is currently reaching over 300,000 children per year, and we aim to reach 1 million children per year by 2028. The programme benefits both preschool age children and unlocks the potential of marginalised rural parents.

You will work in a busy finance team based in the UK, Ghana and Uganda. The role can be done fully-remotely from within the UK, and the salary range on offer is circa £50,000 - £60,000 FTE (pro-rata). It is anticipated there will be around 2-3 days work per week for approximately 4-6 months.

Experience within a business partnering / modelling role within the NGO sector would be very useful, but is not essential.

Duties include:

• Work focused on adaptions for new contexts: The programme targets rural communities in Ghana and Uganda. This year the organisation plans to scale to a new country and to test ways to adapt it for this new context. They are also keen to explore whether the programme can be adapted for refugee settings.
• Financial modelling focused on selecting a new country to launch the programme
• Specific cost modelling and fundraising modelling around the corporate sponsorship of the organisation’s radio station project

• Develop and strengthen robust and flexible cost models (including sensitivity analyses/stress testing) to guide decisions around the pace and rate of scale, staffing & resource requirements (HR), ensure value for money and maximise cost efficiencies.
• Develop robust budgets for new and renewal funder applications, considering complexities around funder restrictions, currency exchange and forecast economic conditions.
• Analysis and modelling on organisational procedures & policies and capacity building projects

Requirements:

• Fully or part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent
• Demonstrable experience with finance business partnering to a range of stakeholders
• Strong financial modelling skills – ideally in things such as cost analysis, funding analysis etc
• Intermediate/advanced Excel and strong data analysis skills
• An understanding of international charity finance - donor reporting, programmes finance, foreign currency transactions is useful

Role Summary 

Our current Director of Finance & Operations will be going on maternity leave in mid-October 2025 and we are looking for an experienced and energetic interim Director of Finance & Operations who will be able to hit the ground running in overseeing all of our finance, HR and operations, which underpin our core mission and work to support babies, families and health professionals across the neonatal community.

This is the ideal opportunity for a CIPD-qualified (Level 5) HR professional with a background in both HR and DI&B. You will be the focal point for everything DI&B within the organisation, and the role will allow you to use all your knowledge and expertise to help drive forward DI&B.

My client is looking for a data-driven professional who can build excellent relationships across the organisation, building trust and rapport with diverse groups. The ideal candidate would have a background of working in either the arts and culture or charity sector.

We are working in partnership with a Richard House Children’s Hospice to secure their new Corporate Fundraiser. Richard House helps children and their families in East London to lead as happy a life as possible when dealing with a life-limiting health condition. From the moment a child is diagnosed with a life-limiting, life-threatening or complex health condition everything changes. These changes affect the whole family, which is why Richard House feel it is vital not only to provide care to the child but to support the whole family. As a member of the fundraising team, you will directly support the charity’s work, as the majority of their services are funded thanks to the generosity of their supporters. 

The Corporate Fundraiser will be responsible for managing a portfolio of prospects and partners, ensuring a first-class cultivation and stewardship journey. Key responsibilities will include prospect research and new business development, compelling proposal and proposition creation, account management and event and campaign planning. The role will be hands on, focused on operational fundraising that delivers crucial short- and medium-term funding impact, as well as longer-term and sustainable corporate income for Richard House.

This role is offered on an interim basis, but with the option to become permanent.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

• Proven ability to deliver income and activity targets in corporate fundraising, with a strong knowledge of corporate fundraising techniques.
• A track record in fundraising with evidence of the successful stewardship of four-figure and above partnerships/gifts, ideally with some exposure to multi-year partnerships.
• Experience of building bespoke fundraising propositions for corporate partners.

Excellent communication and relationship building skills and an ability to interact with prospects and partners at all levels will be key.

The postholder will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of the fundraising strategy, implementing the fundraising plan, overseeing the fundraising budget, and ensuring compliance with fundraising regulations. This role has strategic accountability for fundraising, but will be hands on, involving operational fundraising that delivers crucial short- and medium-term funding impact, as well as longer-term and sustainable income sources for Richard House.

This role is offered on an interim basis, but with the option to become permanent.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

• Proven fundraising experience and a sound working knowledge of the main fundraising methods and streams.
• Track record of delivery at operational business level, with the ability to impact at strategic level, including translating strategic vision into clear direction for the organisation and line reports.
• Experience of maximising fundraising effectiveness and efficiency by using and developing a CRM.
• Exposure to management of salaried staff and/or volunteers, delivering fundraising targets, and with a proven ability to recruit, train and monitor performance.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade. An innovative, and proactive leadership style, with the ability to inspire others to maximise their potential, will be essential.
