Job Description 

Strategic Data Leadership 

• Develop and deliver the Foundation’s enterprise data strategy aligned to mission and organisational goals.
• Enable data-driven decision-making across all Foundation operations, including Finance & Legal, Endowment, Charities and Impact on Urban Health. 
• Embed data into customer experience, operational resilience, risk management and strategic planning. 
• Ensure measurable outcomes linked to data quality, adoption and organisational value. 

Data Governance & Compliance

• Lead and mature a robust data governance framework, including standards, policies, ownership models, quality controls and metadata management.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, Data Protection and relevant regulatory and audit requirements.
• Establish trusted data across the organisation through strong controls, lineage, classification and lifecycle management. 

Data Architecture & Engineering

• Lead on the enterprise data architecture design, including data lakes, warehousing, integrations, pipelines and modelling. 
• Own and optimise cloud-native data technologies across Microsoft Azure, including Fabric, Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse and SQL. 
• Ensure the data platform is scalable, high-performing, secure and aligned to organisational transformation needs.

Analytics, Insight & AI

• Lead on the development of enterprise reporting and analytics, delivering timely, accurate and actionable insights.

The Refugee Employment Network (REN) is the UK's national network dedicated exclusively to refugee employment. We bring together employers, charities, local authorities, government and refugee-led organisations to improve employment outcomes and create a more inclusive labour market.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Digital Product Lead to lead the implementation, rollout and continuous improvement of the Refugee Employment Marketplace and wider digital systems across the Refugee Employment Network.

The Refugee Employment Marketplace is a digital platform connecting displaced people in the UK with jobs, employers and employment support.

Working closely with developers, partners and users, you will help ensure the Marketplace is successfully implemented, accessible, adopted and scaled across Wales and the wider REN network. Purpose of the Role and Key Responsibilities

1. Digital Product Development & Delivery

· Lead the implementation, customisation and continuous improvement of the Refugee Employment Marketplace to meet REN’s organisational goals and user needs.

· Work with external platform providers and developers to coordinate product delivery, customisation, timelines and ongoing improvements.

· Build and maintain project plans, documentation and delivery processes to support successful implementation and rollout.

2. Co-design & Partnerships

Key responsibilities

• Support the Grants Manager to deliver our evolving grants and capacity building provision to the youth sector; bringing together our work to ensure a streamlined offer

About the Role

The Restoration Coordinator is responsible for supporting the administrative and operational requirements of managing our programme of environmental restoration work, from initial applications through to monitoring and evaluation. They will ensure strong record-keeping, organisation and information-sharing across the team. 

Core Accountabilities of the Role

• Work with the Head of Impact & Engagement to coordinate restoration projects through each phase - application, due diligence, agreement, launch, progress monitoring, reporting and evaluation. 

• Arrange and attend regular meetings with the TreeSisters team and restoration partner teams, ensuring strong record-keeping and follow-up. Also providing translation support where needed, if possible.

• Complete all restoration project administration and documentation

• Share information about restoration partnerships and projects with marketing and fundraising team members

• Events technical support (no more than one per month, which may take place in the evenings)

We are seeking a Director of Operations to take on a new senior strategic leadership role that will play a key part in the future direction and long-term sustainability of the organisation.

As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will work collectively with the Chief Executive and Director of Services to provide organisational leadership, contributing to strategic direction and operational effectiveness.

You will be accountable for ensuring the organisation has effective infrastructure, people and financial sustainability. You will oversee and provide integration across all non-service operational areas, holding overall responsibility for Finance, People, Data, IT, Property & Facilities, and our client's Registered Provider subsidiary.

You will act as a primary point of organisational assurance to the Chief Executive, Senior Management Team and Board on operational sustainability, risk and compliance.

Key priorities include providing organisational stewardship of finance, overseeing the transformation and effective operation of digital, data and technology systems, and championing continuous improvement in organisational capability, leadership and ways of working.

About you

We are seeking a leader with a strong collaborative leadership style, with a commitment to collective responsibility and organisational leadership. You will bring:

• Senior strategic leadership experience in a complex organisation, with responsibility for multiple operational and enabling functions.
• Strong financial acumen, including the ability to oversee budgets, interpret financial data and communicate financial matters clearly to senior leaders and Trustees.
• Experience of organisational change, transformation and continuous improvement.
• Experience of governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to operate credibly at Board and Committee level.
• Ability to operate effectively within a regulated environment, including building an understanding of the requirements of the Regulator of Social Housing.
• Extensive experience of managing multiple projects and critical decision making.

Hackney Empire is looking for a new Theatre Technician.

The Theatre Technician plays a vital operational role within our busy 1,250-seat theatre and additional rehearsal and event spaces. Supporting the technical leadership team, you will deliver exceptional hands-on technical support across stagecraft, lighting, sound and rigging systems to realise the creative ambitions of visiting companies and in-house productions. 

This is a production-focused role that requires combining physical, high-level stagecraft management during the intensive fit-ups, live show operations and rapid get-outs with a proactive approach to health and safety, equipment maintenance and visiting company care. 

Are you passionate about using GIS and data to support nature recovery?  Do you have strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail and  an interest in freshwater conservation?

This full-time, three-year fixed-term role will support the Data and Monitoring Team in maintaining accurate spatial and tabular datasets, developing and supporting GIS tools and workflows, and ensuring robust reporting to our funder and Natural England.

Working closely with our conservation delivery team, you will support the development and completion of compensation sites, maintain ArcGIS and QGIS tools, assist with data collection systems such as Survey123 and Field Maps, and help troubleshoot GIS-related issues. The role would suit someone with a strong understanding of GIS principles, experience managing datasets, good Excel skills, and a meticulous, consistent approach to data quality.

Finance Director

Hours of work 30 hrs / 4 days per week, permanent contract

Are you an experienced senior level finance decision maker with broad cross sector knowledge, who demonstrates excellent communication skills, and wants to use your skills to support a community facing organisation? If so, we would welcome your interest and application!

You will also provide effective leadership and direction of the well-regarded finance team with a person-centred approach.

Providing sound financial, contract & risk management advice and ensuring compliance with legal, statutory and audit requirements, you will contribute to the strategic leadership of the charity as an active member of our Senior Management Team.
