Overview:

Responsible for maintaining and developing systems of monitoring that can capture and analyse performance data to track progress of individual projects against outputs and outcomes
Responsible for producing timely and accurate reports for the Management Committee and external funders.
General

Overall purpose
The Philanthropy Manager will manage and steward a portfolio of funders and donors – across trusts and foundations, statutory sources and major donors – to secure annual and multi-year gifts in support of Breaking Barriers’ vision. As well as managing relationships with our existing donors there will be a focus on creating new relationships through proactive prospecting and developing a long-term strategic approach to stewardship and relationship development.
You will be an ambitious, enthusiastic, energetic, and autonomous fundraiser with a demonstrable passion for supporting people from a refugee background. You will have a strong track record of high-value relationship management and fundraising, ideally specialising in Trusts, Statutory, Major Donor fundraising or a related area. We are looking for someone who can successfully secure and steward gifts of 5 figures and above – so evidence of stewarding high-value relationships and high-quality written skills are key. You will collaborate with additional fundraisers across Trusts, Statutory, Corporate and Major Gifts to coordinate approaches and maximise opportunities across all functions.
We welcome applicants with relevant transferable skills from other sectors and other areas of fundraising but a strong knowledge of the fundamentals of grant fundraising is essential. The team and role overview
The HR & Operations function is led by the HR & Operations Manager and includes two Coordinators and one Operations Officer. Together, the team is responsible for delivering effective people management processes, operational support, and internal systems that enable the organisation to function smoothly across both UK and international offices.
The HR & Operations Coordinator reports to the HR & Operations Manager and plays a key role in ensuring the smooth coordination of HR processes, internal policies, and organisational logistics. About this role
As the Counselling Coordinator your responsibilities would include: -

About you

· A relevant counselling qualification (BACP approved).
· Registration with BACP or other professional counselling body
· Working knowledge of social care and health, particularly as it relates to working with carers and adults
· Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
· Excellent customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction
· Knowledge of the challenges affecting Carers.
· Competent in use of IT (Microsoft Applications Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Power Bi), mobile telephony and social media platforms.

In this role, you’ll help improve the digital tools we use to support thousands of students from underrepresented backgrounds to access top careers. Working closely with developers, colleagues from the Product Team, and our users themselves, you’ll support the development of products that make a real difference - every day.

About you
As the Service Manager for our night shelter service, you’ll be at the heart of Glass Door’s mission, delivering the largest network of night shelters in the UK. This pivotal role offers you the chance to make a real difference by managing a dedicated team across multiple sites, ensuring high-quality, consistent service that supports our guests to build a route out of homelessness. We’re looking for a dynamic, proactive leader with a passion for problem-solving and a compassionate service delivery.
What you will do as part of our team
The Service Manager is responsible for the following:
Service delivery
· Lead all aspects of the planning, preparation, and delivery of the night shelter service.
· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service, directly engaging with staff and guests to ensure high-quality service delivery.
· Ensure operational policies are consistently followed, providing guests with a reliable and uniform service experience.
· Manage the rota across three night shelters to maintain adequate staffing at all times.
· Manage a fleet of three vehicles used for the night shelters, ensuring their availability and maintenance.
· Ensure all staff are fully aware of service provisions, requirements, and expectations.
· Lead the continuous improvement of the shelter service to better meet guest needs.
· Ensure due diligence is performed, and that reporting and records are accurately maintained.
· Collaborate with the Head of Operations & Service Development to keep expenditures and income within agreed budget limits.
· Liaise with casework colleagues to ensure seamless collaboration between night shelter and casework staff.
· Ensure the night shelters are aligned with other statutory and charity services to best meet the needs of our guests.
· Conduct and maintain annual general and fire risk assessments for each shelter venue; actively maintain the service-level risk register and contribute to organisational risk register.
· Promptly raise concerns and safeguarding issues in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
· Ensure policies and procedures are up-to-date with annual reviews, and provide staff with training and guidance on compliance and best practices.
Management
· Manage and supervise a seasonal staff team of approximately 40 individuals.
· Oversee the full employee lifecycle management, including: recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management.
· Lead the recruitment and training of seasonal shelter staff.
· Provide high-quality support and line management to night shelter staff, delivering clear guidance, support, and effective leadership.
· Ensure excellent performance management, support, and supervision of Night Shelter Managers and staff, including monitoring annual leave and addressing performance issues in line with Glass Door’s policies.
· Empower seasonal managers to deliver high-quality, safe support and effective guest management in accordance with Glass Door policies and procedures.
· Regularly monitor the quality of support and service by conducting site visits to the night shelters.
· Organise and deliver a comprehensive training programme for shelter staff.
· Facilitate regular supervision and team meetings to promote effective teamwork and communication.
· Ensure the In-form system is utilised efficiently by shelter staff, with timely updates to reports, and prompt, accurate record-keeping.
· Provide timely support, advice, and guidance to staff as needed.
Service Development and Planning
· Play a lead role in the annual planning of the night shelter service and contribute to the annual services business plan.
· Drive the achievement of organisational targets and objectives as outlined in Glass Door’s business plan.
Additional
· Cultivate positive relationships with guests, staff, professionals, partners, suppliers, and the local community.
· To undertake any other duties that can be reasonably required to meet the operational needs of Glass Door.
· Carry out the functions of the post with proper regard to Glass Door’s Equal Opportunities Policy.
Person Specification
Essential:
· Proven experience working with and understanding the needs of people experiencing homelessness or similar disadvantaged groups.
· Experience in leading a service and managing frontline teams.
· Demonstrated problem-solving abilities through proactive learning.
· Understanding and appreciation of trauma-informed care.
· Valid driving license for manual transmission with the willingness to drive the Glass Door vehicles.
· Ability to work independently, with strong decision-making skills and initiative.
· Highly organised with excellent time-management abilities.
· Exceptional communication skills, adaptable to various styles and approaches.
· Strong IT proficiency, including advanced Microsoft Office skills.
· Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends, with the flexibility to cover shifts in emergencies. Time off in lieu provided.

· Empathetic and professional in handling challenging circumstances.
· Ability to implement and adhere to health and safety, HR, and operational policies.

This role will be responsible for the planning, preparation and deployment of YAA’s new fundraising CRM and its associated business processes. You will work collaboratively with YAA’s internal project stakeholders, an implementing partner, the system vendor and play a key role in establishing an agile approach to project delivery.
What You’ll Do
- Project Management accountability for the YAA CRM Project, ensuring successful, on-time and on-budget delivery
- Establish and manage a realistic and committed plan for the project, taking into consideration business deadlines, dependencies, resources, and costs, monitoring work plan activities and support team members in delivering their project elements
- Work successfully with the implementation partner, vendors and any 3rd party systems to deliver the CRM solution to a go-live point and then project sign-off
- Vendor management, including the critical assessment of their proposed timelines, agreeing work sprints, and escalate issues where appropriate
- Provide regular status reports on plan, finances, resources, risks and issues to the Project Sponsors
- Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues, driving actions to mitigate or resolve
- Cleanse data ahead of migration in line with agreed data principles
- Write text scripts, oversee user testing, and work with the vendor/implementation partners to fix issues
- Oversee any customisation requirements for the new system
- Scope out new processes and workflows
- Roll out a training programme to Super Users
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Previous experience of delivering a fundraising CRM database implementation project, including data cleansing and migrations, ideally in a third sector environment
- Extensive track record of successfully managing projects and programmes with accountability for both technology configuration and deployment, integration, business process, change and infrastructure activities
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time/on budget, using project management processes and tools including risk management, benefits management, financial management and quality assurance
- Ability to resolve issues swiftly and decisively whilst safeguarding standards and procedures
- Strong team leadership with the ability to motivate and mobilise individuals outside their reporting line
- Strong business requirements collection and scoping, and process/workflow analysis

We're recruiting for a Data Executive to join us and support the ongoing marketing activities of British Heart Foundation (BHF).
About the role
As a Data Executive you'll be responsible for managing marketing data selections; taking responsibility for a campaign to advise on segmentation, building selections in Blackbaud Enterprise CRM, and using SQL to write output scripts.
You'll be responsible for identifying, fixing, and improving issues in the database, especially around data quality. You'll also get involved in other projects as required such as testing software upgrades, and new ways of working.
Working arrangements
This is a fixed term contract, for up to 18 months, covering a secondment within the team.
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office, up to once a week.
At BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, at least one day each week, on average. The use of our office spaces is driven in part by your role and the activities you need to do. About you
With previous experience of working with CRM systems, knowledge of SQL, preferably around data selections for marketing and non marketing purposes. You will be used to working within a busy fundraising environment, you’ll have excellent problem solving skills, able to take the initiative on tasks. You’ll also have previous experience of planning and prioritising your own workload to tight deadlines.
To be successful in this role you'll have the following skills and experience:
- IT literate; fully conversant with standard Microsoft packages particularly Excel
- Good degree of data literacy with familiarity of data querying and manipulation
- Understanding of, and experience in, writing & working with SQL queries
- Experience using Blackbaud CRM, Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM application
You'll have excellent attention to detail as well as a strong standard of numeracy. With an aptitude to find solutions to achieve better ways of working, you'll have strong communication skills able to interact with internal and external stakeholders at different levels.
