The Opportunity

Key responsibilities of the MI Data Systems Manager include:

- Preparing the submission of mandatory management information to the Department for Education within set deadlines and to national standards.
- Supporting a MI helpline to users of the system.

Administration Officer – England Central
We are recruiting an Administration Officer to provide an effective and comprehensive range of administrative support to workstreams/projects, which will enable the charity to fulfil its function across Central England to a high-quality standard.
What you will do:
Coordinate training bookings, using the diary system, email and databases to ensure training is organised, allocated and delivered.
Create resource pack for colleagues delivering training courses and workshops.

Due to the rapid expansion of Day One Trauma Support over the last three years, the charity’s infrastructure has needed to respond quickly to meet its changing demands. As a Legacy Officer you will play a pivotal part in growing this important source of income which comprises both legacy administration and legacy marketing. Legacies play a vital role at the Home, funding on average 1/3 of our annual income and you will support the implementation of a legacy strategy, aimed at growing income.
You will collaborate closely with the Legacy and Individual Giving Manager and Head of Fundraising to develop strategy and drive income growth, while delivering concise reports on key performance indicators. Your meticulous attention to detail will shine as you manage the day-to-day administration of our legacy caseload, handling complex gifts and resolving any issues. Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements will be second nature to you, as you ensure all funds are administered correctly in alignment with donors' wishes. Collaborating seamlessly with various teams, you'll ensure smooth operations, accurate record-keeping, and insightful analysis. Leveraging your marketing prowess, you'll engage with stakeholders, cultivate relationships, and develop innovative approaches to boost supporter loyalty and engagement.
We're looking for someone with expertise in Microsoft packages, estate administration, and CRM databases. You should excel in building relationships, delivering supporter communications, and assessing legacy activities. Strong communication, research, and numeracy skills are essential, along with a knack for relationship management and attention to detail. Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will:

Be the expert in the room! Make sure 5Rights knows what it needs to know, and be confident in holding us and those in our network to the evidence.

Conduct thorough and organised research, including rapid evidence assessments, report summaries, and deep-dives into emerging technologies.

Conduct consultation and exchange sessions with young people from around the world as part of our Youth Engagement Programme, learning about their experience and helping them understand how tech works.

Liaise with technologists and experts around the world, exchanging knowledge and staying up to date on the latest developments, research and emerging issues.

Gather evidence for and support compliance actions.

Maintain tracking tools and a well-organised evidence repository.

Help coordinate research projects and evidence-gathering programmes.

Draft ad hoc briefings for senior staff on relevant developments, or ahead of meetings and conferences.

Person specification
You’ll be a confident and skilled researcher, a clear, fresh thinker, and an excellent writer. SUDEP Action is the only UK charity focused on preventing epilepsy-related deaths. We have the only epilepsy bereavement service freely available to anyone suddenly bereaved by epilepsy (including SUDEP). By representing the voices of those who have died and who are bereaved, we aim to learn from deaths, and use research, policy and campaigns to raise awareness and take action that helps save lives.
Working both independently and with the wider team you will deliver a high-quality community fundraising service. We’re looking for someone who has worked in a fundraising department and/or similar role before, preferably in the charity sector. Engaging confidently with people and feeling comfortable in adapting your approach to different audiences is a key skill for this role - whether they are major donors, corporates or community fundraisers. This is particularly important as many of our supporters & fundraisers are bereaved.
Building positive supporter connections is at the heart of what we do at SUDEP Action, so setting a positive example of this through your plans and actions, and demonstrating the importance of maintaining strong, personalised supporter relationships is key. You’ll know how to follow processes to record, monitor and evaluate supporters’ engagement with community fundraising activities, so this feeds back into how the charity operates.
Much of the charity’s income comes from our motivated and passionate supporters, so this role is a key part of income generation. The successful candidate will be able to build on current processes and successes to grow our engagement across all fundraising activities, platforms and campaigns. Experience of bid/grant writing would be desirable.
