The Job

Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager, the Supporter Care Officer role sits within the Communications, Engagement and Fundraising team. USPG is looking for someone with excellent communication skills and enthusiasm to join our small but growing fundraising team.  The post holder will be the first port of call for all incoming communications and will work closely with the Individual Giving Manager to ensure that our supporters feel valued. The role is also responsible for maintaining the data and developing supporter care processes.

About the role

We are looking for a Deputy Service Manager to join our team based in Croydon, providing leadership and line management to a team of night staff which is around 10 people in total. You will provide support and supervision sessions at night, and general leadership to the team so they feel empowered to be productive and perform well within their roles. You will further ensure a quality service is delivered in line with our contractual requirements to the residents. You will be responsible for creating a psychologically informed environment (PIE) with person centred support during all hours. This service is a Forensic Mental Health provision for 27 people across 4 sites in Croydon. For your own personal safety, you will require to have access to your own transport as you will need to travel between our 4 sites during the night shift to provide managerial support to the teams. The teams support our residents with person centred support, to empower them to overcome their personal barriers with their mental health, to have greater independence and fulfilled living. The service is responsible for holding various activities, group sessions, and one to one support to enable residents to build their personal skills and experiences to achieve their goals.

Are you an experienced Chartered Financial Accountant, with extensive experience working in Financial Operations (FinOps) within international charities? The Fundraising Writer will help ensure the Partnerships & Philanthropy (P&P) Team has access to the information and assets needed to drive income generation and to meet our goals.

In this dynamic role you'll craft a range of compelling and creative fundraising materials.  Using your excellent communication skills, you will collaborate with colleagues across the charity to understand their work and translate into high quality propositions, cases for support, and other inspirational collateral for the P&P audience. This is a great opportunity to join the unique RCJ Advice - Citizens Advice & Law Centre. We have two court-based offices, at the Royal Courts of Justice on the Strand, and at the Central Family Court on High Holborn, although we mainly now provide advice by telephone and can therefore support people who are accessing any court in England and Wales. The post-holder can work a mix of both these locations (ideally around 3 days) and from home (around 2 days). 

This new role will take overall responsibility for these two court-based offices and the front-line aspect of these services. The role will manage a team of up to 3 employees, and will recruit volunteers, to deliver the work.

The main aims of this aspect of our operations are:-

• Providing a high quality first point of contact and initial triage service online, by email, telephone and in-person
• Providing an efficient and well-managed service between clients and in particular our volunteer solicitors

We are looking for an outgoing and self-motivated individual to help drive and develop vision, mission and strategy to progress the youth work of both the Schools and College Pastors initiatives under the Ascension Trust umbrella and as lead for the Synergy Network.

The focus in this role:

• Coordinating and supporting the Schools and College Pastor initiatives and developing strategies to grow and strengthen the work of our teams and also to promote the network and collaborations with other organisations.
• Enthuse and engage with stakeholders who want to work to combat serious youth violence, including faith groups, police and public sector.
• Develop and implement a future strategy for School and College Pastors and the Synergy Network.
• Develop funding bids for future initiatives such as the prevention of serious youth violence, working with the Youth Endowment Fund, Violence Reduction Units, and developing funding streams for the School and College Pastor initiatives with appropriate funding bodies.
• Develop vision, strategy and training for growth in new and existing initiatives.
• Develop and maintain a communications strategy for the Synergy Network, including events organisation, website and social media maintenance.
• Support the Synergy Network board by organising events, maintaining the website and social media platforms.
• This is a role that allows for flexibility and creativity in approach with training and support available to grow the individual in post.

As a Individual Giving Manager you will

• Lead on the development and implementation of an effective programme to develop supporters using a range of channels, including but not limited to direct mail, telemarketing, DRTV and digital, and products including cash, raffle, regular giving, weekly lottery. 

• Assist the Senior Individual Giving Manager to develop and implement an effective development strategy in order to maximise the lifetime value of supporters and the long-term sustainable net income raised for Barnardo's. 

• Manage income and expenditure budgets. 

• Line manage up to 3 direct reports. 

 You will have experience of :

• Working in a fundraising environment, specifically in direct marketing and across different channels.
• Delivering campaigns using a project management approach.

The Role

The Administrative Officer will play a key role in helping to ensure the smooth running of HEP’s operations, events, and communications, and in delivering the high-quality service that underpins our success.  This role reports jointly to the Operations Manager and the Lead for Digital and Communications. 

Key Responsibilities 

Administrative Support

• First point of contact for schools, clients, suppliers, and visitors triaging issues and responding efficiently and helpfully to queries in person, via phone, and by email

• Monitoring of shared inboxes across various teams, addressing enquiries in a timely manner

Event / Visitor Coordination

• Prepare and manage meeting rooms and training venues liaising with trainers and delegates
• Assist with the planning and delivery of in-person and online events, including training sessions, conferences, and away days

CPD Support
