About the role:

We are seeking a dynamic and organised Community and Events Manager to lead and grow Playskill’s community and events fundraising stream.  This role is vital to increasing awareness and generating income to support our services, through meaningful community engagement and events.

You will be responsible for managing and developing our annual events (including The Playskill Golf Day), introducing new local fundraising opportunities, and building relationships within community groups.  You will also line manage the Fundraising Officer, helping to support their contribution to the fundraising team.

Skills and Experience Required:

· Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.

· Line management experience.

· Experience organising and delivering successful events.

· Strong relationships building and donor stewardship abilities.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Individual Giving Officer (Acquisition) to join our collaborative Individual Giving team.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead on the overall donor development offline programme for both cash and committed donors, ensuring a strong onboarding and onward journey is in place, and that key touchpoints are leveraged to deepen engagement and increase donors’ Lifetime Value.
• Work with digital fundraising colleagues to create integrated, multichannel campaigns and an effective, donor-first giving journey.
• Provide colleagues with strategic guidance, and technical support if required, to deliver warm appeals via Direct Mail that meet six-figures campaign targets.
• Manage our Telemarketing programme, to successfully launch and deliver activities such as conversion, upgrade, reactivation, and welcome calling.
• Ensure an insight-led thanking programme is in place, with key moments identified throughout the year to acknowledge support and communicate impact.
• Work with key stakeholders across digital and offline teams to ensure we maintain a strong retention rate whilst growing our Regular Giving file.
• Remain flexible and rapidly respond to emergency situations.
• Work with our Data team to identify the best approach to data and segmentation for each project.
• Manage production processes, developing supplier briefs and managing approval stages and end of campaign reviews.
• Work with our suppliers to ensure campaign fulfilment is in place and collaborate with our Supporter Care function to monitor responses and identify issues/opportunities.

We’re looking for someone to plan and organise our activities programme which offers Unpaid Carers in Lewisham the opportunity to have a break from their caring responsibilities in a social environment where they can meet other carers and focus on their wellbeing.

You’ll work closely with the service manager to plan and arrange a wide programme of activities for young and adult Unpaid Carers. This will involve researching activities, and liaising with providers, ensuring health and safety, insurance and other checks are in place, arranging resources and refreshments, completing risk assessments and booking venues.

You will actively promote activities to Unpaid Carers, manage bookings and respond to queries. The role is based in our Carers Hub, so you will interact with Unpaid Carers visiting the team or enquiring about the service. You will also prepare regular newsletters for the service and provide additional admin support to the team as needed.

Applicants should have experience in an admin or activities planning role and excellent customer service skills. You will require exceptional communication, organisational and written skills, and should be proactive and resourceful. You must be proficient in using Word and Excel, and experience of using databases would be an advantage.

The Counter-Trafficking Department operates within HBF’s vibrant, multi-disciplinary team. The role of the Coordinator is to ensure that clients who are victims of trafficking have detailed counter-trafficking assessments, regular follow-up (as per their individual needs and risks) and appropriate safeguarding. • Provide direct advocacy support to children and young people with disabilities, in and on the edges of the care system. You will hold a caseload, and be committed to championing the rights of these young people, working with a broad range of other stakeholders and agencies to do so.
• Support with developing the quality of services and projects delivered by Coram Voice to children and young people. This includes under Coram Voice’s Disability Outreach Project. It is an exciting time to join this project, which has recently expanded to include educational advocacy in addition to social care focused advocacy.

Job title: Employer Engagement Manager

Reports to:   Head of Programmes

Line reports: None

Location: Flexible, hybrid, with some travel required to our offices (London, Manchester or Birmingham)

Salary:          £38,000-£41,000 (£39,000-£42,000 in London)

Hours:           Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with occasional evening or weekend work (TOIL provided). Open to flexible working.

Contract: FTC 12-months, with intention to convert to permanent position subject to funding and organisational requirements.

Overall purpose

The Employer Engagement Manager (EEM) will play a critical role in ensuring refugees supported by Breaking Barriers access meaningful, opportunities that align with client needs and labour market demand. The postholder will lead employer outreach and partnership building in priority sectors and embed consistent systems and processes that make employer engagement coordinated and impactful across the organisation. The EEM will support pathways, work placements, recruitment pipelines and workshops by ensuring employer input is actively embedded where relevant.

This is a strategic, hands-on role, the successful candidate will map and cultivate employer relationships, secure employer input into sector pathways, workshops and recruitment initiatives, translate labour market intelligence into programme improvements, and design the operational processes that enable Programmes and Corporate Partnerships to work together effectively. You will operate in a matrix environment, collaborating closely with the Programmes, Corporate Partnerships and Client Services teams but will not hold direct line-management of delivery staff.

The role is set up to be ambitious but achievable within 12 months. The priority is to build tested, repeatable employer engagement practice (relationships, processes, insight-sharing and measurable impact) that can form the foundations of a permanent employer engagement function if/when funding allows.

• This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months. Toward the end of the term, a review will be conducted to assess the impact and scope of the role, with the intention to adapt into a permanent position subject to funding and organisational need.
