We are now looking for a Communications Officer to help us tell compelling stories, engage key audiences and ensure our communications activity is delivered to a consistently high standard. 

About the Role 

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. We may consider 4 days per week with Tuesday or Wednesday as a non-working day. 

Duration: Six month contract, renewed subject to funding. 

Location: Home-working within the UK, with occasional travel for team meetings, events and member engagement. 

Annual Full-time Salary: £33,500 per annum, pro-rated for a 6 month contract.

As Communications Officer, you will play a central role in delivering the Coalition's day-to-day communications activity. Working with the Head of Campaigns and Communications you will help ensure that our research, campaigns and policy work reach the audiences that matter, from journalists and policymakers to providers, parents and coalition members. 

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys creating engaging content, spotting opportunities, managing multiple priorities and working as part of a small, ambitious team. 

You will support our social media presence, coordinate newsletters and member communications, monitor media coverage and enquiries, and help ensure that the Coalition's voice is consistent, timely and impactful. 

 
About You 

You are an excellent communicator with strong writing skills and an eye for detail. You enjoy creating engaging content, can manage competing priorities and are excited by the opportunity to help shape public debate on issues affecting children, families and the early years workforce. 

You are proactive, organised and comfortable working independently within a remote team. You are equally happy drafting newsletter copy, responding to urgent journalist enquiries or creating graphics for social media.

Deliver the Coalition's social media activity

As a Social Entrepreneur Support Manager, you will be focused on delivering the best possible support to social entrepreneurs and their venture to help them maximise their social impact. This role will lead on finding, funding and supporting social entrepreneurs to offer them the best chance of success, from start up to scale. This role will be working with a diverse range of Social Entrepreneurs, both in terms of their lived experience, and the stage of their venture.

You will be responsible for working with a portfolio of social entrepreneurs at different stages of their journey, from ideation through to growth and scale. We are recruiting for a Fundraising Manager to develop and implement our fundraising strategy. Our client is a dynamic, passionate charity, committed to improving the lives of children across the UK. They currently run over 100 local services that help thousands of young people who desperately need support, as well as campaigning to change laws and policies to make children’s lives both happier and safer. They are now looking to recruit a Service Manager (part-time, 21 hours) to lead the safe and effective development and delivery of a new Virtual Therapy service.

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a new impactful service, providing accessible digital therapeutic services to a variety of young people. As Service Manager you will initially work closely with external app developers to translate clinical and safeguarding needs into platform requirements, validating functionality through user testing, and assuring compliance, accessibility and data protection for online therapy with children and young people. Once the app is built and launched, the role will focus on setting up, scaling and running the virtual therapy programme, ensuring high-quality practice, safeguarding, accessible delivery and continuous improvement.

Please note, the first phase of this work involving the development of the product will last approximately 6 months. Subject to funding, this role will then move into the second phase of work involving the mobilisation, leadership and management of the product.

To apply for this role, you will have demonstrable experience of delivering therapeutic work with children and young people across a range of presenting issues. A relevant professional qualification (e.g., Diploma in Counselling or Psychotherapy, Psychology, Mental Health or Nursing) and registration with a relevant professional body (e.g. BACP, BABCP, UKCP or equivalent) is essential for this role. You will have project and/or service management experience within a health, social care or education setting, and will have experience of supervising and managing staff performance and practice. Experience of working as a service/product owner with software teams to deliver a regulated or digital-health platform is desirable. Overall, you will be a skilled communicator, able to work independently and passionate about driving forward new accessible therapeutic services to improve the lives of vulnerable young people.

Aims:

• Ensure every Emergency Department and Critical Care unit has a suitable bereavement suite
• Ensure that bereavement boxes are available at each of these hospitals
• Ensure that immediate bereavement support is available for all affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide a professional counselling service and complementary therapies for those affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide support to individuals who witness the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide support and training to professionals from any sector who may be affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• To advocate and campaign on behalf of suddenly bereaved families

2wish Cymru & 2wish:

2wish has been established since 2012 and has grown from strength to strength. During this time, we have worked tirelessly to embed our service and ensure that the offer of support is made at the point of death. We offer an immediate, consistent, high-quality and compassionate service to all individuals affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under in Wales and some counties in England, including; Merseyside, Cheshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Avon and Somerset, Devon and Cornwall, Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight with plans to continue rolling out support across the whole of England. We work in partnership with professionals who refer into the charity on behalf of families, so they don’t have to trawl through the internet for an organisation who may, or may not, be able to support. We provide immediate, and ongoing, support and are here for as long as our families need us.

Context of role:

The Clinical Supervisor at 2wish plays a vital role in supporting the wellbeing and resilience of staff by providing structured, reflective supervision. Working with colleagues who are regularly exposed to highly sensitive and traumatic situations, the supervisor offers a safe and confidential space to process experiences, explore emotional responses, and develop coping strategies. Through regular one-to-one and, where appropriate, group supervision sessions, the role helps ensure staff feel supported, maintain professional boundaries, and sustain their ability to deliver high-quality care.

The Clinical Supervisor also contributes to identifying themes or risks within the workforce, promoting a culture of wellbeing, and strengthening overall organisational support for staff.

Main duties:

• Provide regular, structured clinical supervision to a designated caseload of 2wish staff, in line with BACP ethical frameworks and best practice guidance
• Create and maintain a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to enable reflective practice and discussion of complex and traumatic casework
• Support staff to process the emotional impact of working with bereavement, trauma and crisis, promoting resilience and psychological wellbeing
• Ensure supervision practice upholds BACP principles, including confidentiality, professional boundaries, safeguarding and ethical decision-making
• Provide guidance on managing complex or high-risk cases, ensuring staff feel confident and supported in their roles

What we do for you:

Salary: £60 per hour, 16 hours per month

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Normal office hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, although alternative hours may be worked with line manager agreement. Work outside office hours may sometimes be necessary and will be compensated for by time off in lieu.

Annual leave: 28 days plus bank holidays. Annual leave steadily increases after five years of service. Annual leave and statutory holidays are calculated on a pro rata basis where applicable.

Pension: 2wish operate a contributory pension scheme. 2wish will auto-enrol you into the scheme in accordance with it's auto-enrolment obligations. Full details of the scheme will be provided to you once you are enrolled, including the minimum level of contributions that you will be required to make during your membership (current contributions - employer 3% and employee 5%).

We are looking for an experienced Regional Opperations Lead, to coordination all aspects of the StreetDoctors operations within the Midlands  Region and to ensure our programmes are fit for the future.

We are an award-winning national charity  which trains over 20,000 young people affected by street violence each year in emergency first-aid, through a team of 250 healthcare volunteers and youth workers. We empower young people with the skills to become part of the solution to violence by developing their skills and confidence to save lives and increasing their understanding of the medical and psychological consequences of violence.

As the StreetDoctors lead for the region, you will provide leadership in partnership development, volunteer management, the delivery of training and maintaining quality standards.
The key areas of focus include:

• To create, develop and maintain partnerships with a range of organisations including, funders, commissioners, community organisations, criminal justice organisations, education providers and youth organisations.
• To develop and manage engaged volunteers and youth workers and ensure their expectations are aligned to the organisation's objectives and provide the best volunteering experience possible.
• To deliver training and ensure the quantity and quality of projects meet the required targets and new opportunities are maximised.

About This Job

This is an exciting and rewarding role managing award programmes recognising the achievements of the cadets and volunteers of the Combined Cadet Force and Army Cadet Force (UK Cadets).  Working across two national cadet charities, you will proactively identify deserving individuals, manage and modernise the awards process, provide expert advice and seek additional national external awards and recognition.

We are looking for someone with experience in writing persuasive award citations or funding applications, with exceptional communication and process management skills.

This role is key to ensuring that the remarkable cadets and volunteers of the UK Cadets are appropriately recognised and celebrated for their extraordinary contributions.

Essential Skills

· GCSE English or equivalent experience

· At least two year’s experience of drafting award citations or funding applications

· Experience of working with partners, internally and externally

· Ability to extract information from people with varying powers of written expression

· Information gathering and analysis skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The role will focus on identifying, developing and delivering habitat creation and restoration projects to improve freshwater biodiversity at a catchment scale. This will include undertaking catchment walkover surveys to identify issues and opportunities, and working closely with landowners, technical specialists and a wide range of stakeholders to design and implement effective interventions—including habitat creation, restoration and nutrient management.

The postholder will lead on developing project work plans, securing necessary consents and licences, and managing contractors through delivery. Alongside this, the role will involve full project and financial management responsibilities, including budget oversight, reporting against targets, and liaising with funders.

About the role

We’re looking for experienced social media and communications professionals to join our freelance moderation team.

Our moderators support a range of charity partners, working across always-on activity as well as high-profile campaigns and appeals. You’ll act as the voice of each organisation — engaging with supporters, answering queries, and ensuring conversations are managed safely and effectively.

This role is well suited as a flexible, additional source of income. Most of our moderators are freelancers or consultants working alongside other roles.

Working pattern

Moderation takes place between 9am and 9pm, Monday to Sunday.

Rather than working in one continuous block, you’ll complete your hours in short check-ins across the day to maintain coverage and meet response time targets.

Each account is allocated a set number of ‘active moderation hours’ per day (e.g. 2-3 hours), which are spread across multiple sessions.

For example, 3 hours may be split into 5-6 check-ins throughout the day.

You must be able to:

• Start moderation from 9am (or earlier)

• Monitor activity throughout the day

• Complete a final check before 9pm

• Adhere to our sub-3-hour response time

Please note: In your first month, you will typically start on fewer accounts and hours (approx. 3 per day) while you get up to speed. Hours usually increase from month two onwards.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the voice of our charity partners, consistently applying their tone of voice and brand guidelines

• Respond to comments, messages and queries in a timely, accurate and empathetic way

• Maintain a response time of under three hours

• Identify, manage and de-escalate negative or inappropriate content

• Hide or remove content in line with moderation policies

• Identify and escalate safeguarding concerns appropriately

• Signpost users to relevant support services where needed

• Encourage positive engagement and supporter action, including donations where appropriate

• Work across a range of moderation tools e.g. Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite, Agorapulse, Brandwatch

• Manage your workload independently while following clear processes and guidance

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Minimum 3 years’ professional communications experience, working in-house for a charity or non-profit

• Proven experience moderating social media channels

• Excellent written communication skills, with strong attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple check-ins

• Confidence in making judgement calls using guidance rather than scripts

• Understanding of fundraising and how charities engage supporters

• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-volume or sensitive situations

• Availability to work 3-6 days per week, including at least one weekend day

• Flexibility to adapt quickly if issues arise

Desirable

• Experience using moderation and social media management tools e.g. Sprout Social, Meta, Agorapulse, Brandwatch
