We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled, experienced and impactful individual to join us as a Senior Learning Manager.

Please note: This is not a traditional L&D or teaching role — we're looking for a strategic leader to drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of internal learning across teams.

In this role, you'll apply your extensive experience of leading and designing continuous improvement, service design and other formal methodologies to drive an ongoing cycle of learning, improvement and problem-solving. Drawing on Human Learning Systems principles to shape your approach, you'll unlock a wide range of knowledge and expertise to help drive impact through our strategies, ultimately leading to positive change for families in each of our Nations. In doing so, you'll also help to develop our collective approach to change across the UK.

At Dementia UK, we are investing in our people, systems and financial governance to better meet the changing needs of those we serve. As Finance Manager, you’ll play a central role in ensuring the integrity of our financial processes and systems, leading on fund and tax management, including relevant reporting and compliance.

You’ll oversee the administration and analysis of restricted and designated funds, ensuring accurate accounting and adherence to donor agreements and pump prime arrangements. This is a crucial role in managing our income recognition processes, refining internal financial controls and driving continuous improvement of our accounting systems, helping to shape scalable systems that support long-term growth.

Working closely with the Head of Financial Accounts, you’ll liaise with teams across the charity to ensure robust VAT and tax compliance, support the preparation of year-end financial reporting and contribute to producing papers for the Finance Risk and Audit committee.

To succeed, you will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) with strong experience in a charity finance environment. A strong working knowledge of charity accounting and SORP reporting requirements is essential, along with experience in donor/restricted funds management and knowledge of VAT and tax. You should have experience of supervising or managing a small team. You should also be able to demonstrate an ability to manage time effectively, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience of different accounting software preferably with Sun Systems and Proactis.

About the role:

The Alcohol Behavioural Change Specialist is responsible for collaboratively designing and implementing, evidence-based programmes applying appropriate behavioural change models aimed at reducing alcohol-related harm, and promoting long-term behavioural change related to alcohol consumption.

As a leading charity focused on alcohol harm reduction, the postholder will be Drinkaware’s internal expert regarding alcohol harm to individuals and will have a good understanding of brief interventions, as well as information, advice and guidance including quality assurance across our work. They will work across the organisation providing expert advice and guidance.

Programme & Intervention Development

• Work with the Head of operations to develop and implement personalised intervention strategies to help individuals reduce alcohol consumption, using evidence-based behavioural change techniques through our app and other digital tools.

• Collaborate with lived experience panel and Independent Advisory Panel to create comprehensive alcohol-related behavioural health programmes.

• Utilise your experience of motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), and other evidence-based practices to promote lasting change in alcohol use behaviours across Drinkaware’s activity.

• Stay up to date on the latest research in alcohol use, behavioural change methods to inform programme development and interventions.

Content & Communication

• Work with the Marketing & Content team to produce engaging content for public audiences ensuring accuracy and effectiveness of advice and guidance in all Drinkaware messaging.

• Work with the Digital and Content team to ensure the Drinkaware website content is relevant and up to date.

• Presenting our insights, programmes and tools to external stakeholders including funders, public health departments etc.

Insight & Evaluation

• Work with the Research team in the translation of research insights and publications into programme development.

• Work with the Impact team to ensure impact monitoring and quality assurance is embedded in all work undertaken by Drinkaware and support colleagues to monitor and measure the quality of its work with a view to ensuring high quality standards and continuous improvement.

About you:

This role requires a deep understanding of psychological theories, behavioural science, and addiction, along with practical experience in behavioural interventions.

Qualifications and/or experience

• Degree or higher in Psychology, Behavioural change, Public Health, or a related field. Certification or training in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, or other relevant therapeutic approaches is highly desirable.

Essential Criteria / Key Skills

• Strong understanding of behavioural science theories and experience of how to apply them to alcohol use, with proficiency in delivering behavioural change techniques.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing behavioural change interventions, particularly in the context of alcohol or addiction.
• Experience with digital health applications is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate individuals at all stages of behavioural change.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess, plan, and implement effective behavioural change programmes.
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience of working in the health sector and have a passion for reducing alcohol harm in the UK.
• Experience working in partnership with internal and external agencies and organisation
• Experience of working collaboratively across internal departments and teams
• Knowledge of public health initiatives and policies related to alcohol use.
• Data analysis and program evaluation experience.
• Confident public speaker able to represent Drinkaware at events, conferences and in the media.
• Ability to work independently and autonomously, prioritise tasks, and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Understanding of safeguarding legislation and practical application in delivery of programmes

At the heart of Camden’s response to street homelessness, the Rough Sleepers Hub Assessment Centre at 165 Kings Cross Road plays a vital role in offering people a safe place to begin their journey away from the streets. With 16 beds and a focus on short-term stays, the service aims to support individuals into secure and suitable housing within just 28 days. This is not simply a place to stay; it’s a place where change begins, you will be instrumental in making that change possible.

Working within a psychologically informed and trauma-aware environment, you’ll support people facing some of the most entrenched challenges in society. You’ll take the lead on a caseload, carrying out in-depth assessments and building support plans shaped around each individual’s unique circumstances. This includes creating tailored interventions that address a range of support needs your clients may face; from and physical health difficulties, to substance use, trauma and experiences with the criminal justice system. You’ll help residents with practical daily tasks, support their engagement with training and employment opportunities, and collaborate with a wide network of professionals including Connect Forward, In Roads and Camden Routes off The Streets to offer truly holistic support.

The Senior Philanthropy and Partnership Manager is a new role, bringing the staff team to eight. We are looking for someone experienced, ambitious and creative to be our first Senior Philanthropy and Partnership Manager, to drive our fundraising strategy, create new opportunities and relationships, lead the cultivation and stewardship of new trust funders, and develop a new major donor fundraising programme.

In this role you will have strategic accountability for fundraising and overseeing progress towards fundraising targets, working with the team and the Board to generate ideas and deliver proposals for raising funds, and for highlighting our impact to potential donors. You will be a hands-on fundraiser, who builds relationships with donors, keeps on top of developments in the funding landscape, develops compelling and creative pitches and proposals for funders, and as a result delivers sustainable income generation to ensure Spotlight achieves our organisational goals.

Person specification - essential criteria

• A creative and proactive mindset, with the ability to take initiative and generate new opportunities

• Proven ability to communicate effectively and persuasively, with strong oral, writing, presentation, relationship building and networking skills

• Proven track record in developing and nurturing productive and long-term relationships with potential funders

• Proven track record of meeting targets from a high-value fundraising programme (trusts and major donors) 

• Proven track record in researching and identifying new trust and major donor prospects, and developing effective cultivation, solicitation and stewardship plans

• Experience of developing exciting pitches and high-quality funding proposals with narrative and financial reports

• Collaborative and solutions-focused, with the ability to lead internal engagement in fundraising and grant management

Working arrangements:

We are now seeking a Commercial Director to join our team at an exciting point in our journey as a charity.

Over the past decade, Anna Freud has grown significantly in scope, influence, and impact. From our origins as a pioneering centre for child psychotherapy, we are now a national mental health charity with a unique blend of research, clinical practice, schools support, and workforce development – all underpinned by a commitment to evidence, collaboration, and lived experience.

We are proud of what we’ve achieved, but we also recognise that the scale of need among children, young people, and families continues to grow. With this comes increasing demand for practical, accessible, and effective support.

To meet this challenge, we are evolving once again. From 2026, we will launch a new long-term strategy focused on deepening our impact, scaling what works, and working with system partners to close the gaps that exist in science, services, and access to support. This will require us to think differently about how we generate income, build strategic partnerships, and strengthen our infrastructure to sustain and grow our work for the future.

We are now looking for our first Executive Director, Commercial to bring together income generation, brand and marketing, digital innovation, data, and business development into one strategic and values-led portfolio. We are seeking someone who combines strong commercial acumen with mission-driven leadership: a strategic thinker who can build and lead high-performing teams, collaborate across disciplines, and engage credibly with senior stakeholders.

As a key member of our Executive Leadership Team, you will contribute to the organisation’s overall direction and play a pivotal role in shaping our future strategy. You will lead a talented, motivated team across fundraising, partnerships, business development, digital platforms, and brand.
