The role of the Young Carers Programme Manager is to lead on the delivery of our employability and aspirations programming for young adult carers, to support positive transitions from education into employment. The role works in partnership with our network of local carer organisation, employers and wider sector stakeholders, to deliver an engaging and diverse programme of opportunities for young adult careers to meet with employers, experience work environments, and broaden opportunities to access careers of choice.

About Us: 

Kiran Support Services is a specialist South Asian organisation that provides refuge accommodation and outreach support to Asian women fleeing all forms of VAWG and harmful practises. Our services include refuge accommodation, resettlement and outreach support, advice and advocacy services, counselling and immigration advice, and casework support.

We are a small team dedicated to providing intersectional, culturally specific support to vulnerable women and their children through high-quality services delivered in Asian languages tailored to individual needs.

We are recruiting for a South Asian female Immigration Adviser (OISC level 3) / qualified solicitor, to support women in our refuges that have an insecure immigration status.

About You: 

You will be required to manage a complex caseload and will support securing the immigration status of service users in our refuges in the London Borough of Waltham Forest and the London Borough of Brent.

You should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the legal field and in areas such as immigration law, family law, domestic violence and abuse, welfare benefits and housing, and providing legal advice and advocacy to South Asian/ BME women who have experienced domestic abuse.

You will have up-to-date working knowledge of Home Office policies relating to domestic abuse, including the Migration Victims of Domestic Abuse Concession (MVDAC).

Fluency in at least one South Asian language is essential (Urdu/ Punjabi preferred)

Job Title: Positive Engagement Worker

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Positive Engagement Worker to join our team based in Croydon which aims to deliver residential based support to people referred by South London and Maudsley Trust (SLaM). Our residents are referred to gain support with their Mental Health and other multiple complex needs. Our aim is to support them and help them prepare for independent living, whilst managing their individual risks. You will be at the heart of providing person centred support in a tailored way, to help our residents improve their quality of life, and achieve their personal goals through providing flexible support. 

In this role, you will be at the centre of researching, sourcing, and providing various opportunities for our residents. This can include partnering with external employers for employment opportunities, liaising with colleges for courses and upskilling opportunities, or community based projects which residents can get involved in. The role is dynamic and you can put your own ideas forward to bring new ideas to the team to help support our residents have access to wider resources. You will work closely with the rest of the care and support teams to enhance the opportunities available to our residents. 

You will work directly with our residents to support them to overcome their personal barriers and challenges to achieve positive outcomes. You will do this through one to one support sessions, group sessions and activities, and general support with their daily living.

The role further includes:

• Plan and deliver various activities which includes within the service and outside in the local community to help gain a sense of community and belonging. This can include days out to museums, community events and other areas of interest by our residents
• Plan in service events to bring residents together which could include group cooking sessions, games days, sporting events, and religious festivals.
• Keeping support plans up to date using our online portal
• Carrying out housing management support including welfare benefits support

We're looking for someone who has a true passion to support those who face challenges with their mental health and that may have substance dependency. You will be able to build rapport and trusting relations in a professional setting, and able to build positive outcomes. Overview  

At Young Roots, we want to see a compassionate and welcoming society for young refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. We work alongside young people seeking safety in the UK, building trusted relationships, providing practical and emotional support and promoting young people’s rights and power.   

Our youth clubs and casework are transformative for young refugees, allowing young people who have fled danger, had traumatic journeys and who are often here alone, to find community and connection, have a space to be a young person and access support in addressing a whole range of practical challenges they face. We also draw on our evidence from working every day with young refugees and asylum seekers to call for change to the laws and policies which are harming young people.  

The Youth Development Coordinator is responsible for the development and delivery of our youth development programme for young refugees and asylum seekers. 

You will be focused on ensuring our programme activities achieve our outcomes, are in line with our strategy and identify areas for change and development under the direction of the Head of Services. An excellent communicator and skilled at working with partners, you will be key in the implementation and running all of our weekly youth activities, including a Youth Club and Advice and Support Hub working closely with the Youth Development Worker and having oversight of our weekly Young Women’s group. 

As an experienced manager, you will lead our team of skilled youth workers, working alongside the Brent team to provide holistic support to young asylum seekers and refugees in Brent.  

You will prioritise the participation of young people in all activities, ensuring excellent safeguarding by following our policy and protocols, and ensure that we collect excellent data for monitoring and evaluation and to aid our future planning. You will also assist with staff and volunteer recruitment and reporting to our funding partners. 

The Youth Development Coordinator will hold a Designated Safeguarding Officer role at Young Roots for which they will receive full training.

Partnership Experience Manager (Maternity Cover)

Salary: £38,814 - £44,581 pro-rata (depending on experience and FTE)

Location: This is currently a blended-working role with two in-office days (Tuesday-Thursday) during term time and the flexibility to work from home during school holidays. Occasional travel to schools and events will be required.

About the role

You will play a key role in driving the continuous improvement and growth of our national partnership through deepening the quality and impact of our local collaboration hubs. You will also oversee the day-to-day running of hubs of our schools and trusts, which includes holding responsibility for the operations of the Partnerships Team and working closely with the Partnership Lead to ensure that all hubs, schools and trusts have an excellent experience with Challenge Partners. 

You will also oversee the implementation of the organisation’s Account Management strategy, working closely with members of the Leadership Team  to implement our strategy for effective partnership experience (our term for account management and customer service) for our partner schools and trusts. This includes holding some key strategic relationships, representing the organisation at external meetings and overseeing partner experience operations.

Strategic Leadership and Management  - Hub Quality and Impact

• Develop and lead our strategy to improve the quality and impact of Challenge Partners’ Hubs, continuing to develop high performing hubs and supporting rapid improvement in new and emerging hubs

• Deliver, grow and evaluate the impact of our hub-led programmes: Middle Leaders’ Quality Assurance Review and Leadership Residency Programme

• Oversee the continuous improvement of national Knowledge Exchange and Areas of Excellence

• Lead a Hub Quality and Impact team, including all central team hub owners and executive hub links, through providing clarity on the Hub Quality and Impact strategy and operations.

Strategic Leadership and Management - Partnership Experience and Communications

• Develop and lead the implementation of our Account Management strategy ensuring that accounts are given the attention needed to ensure a smooth experience and high satisfaction rates

• Oversee Customer Care processes across the organisation, guaranteeing that any issues are resolved in a professional and timely manner 

• Oversee whole partnership communications, including half termly partnership newsletters

• Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships (Senior Partners, Hub Managers, trust CEOs) with your allocated key accounts to ensure that regular dialogue with them informs the strategy and continuous improvement in our support of hub quality and partner experience

• Act as an ambassador for Challenge Partners, representing the organisation externally where required

About the Role

Fundraising & Membership Development

● Develop and implement strategies to grow our membership and diversify income.

● Secure new revenue through sponsorships, grants, and fundraising campaigns.

● Build strong relationships with stakeholders and funders.
 

Communications

● Raise UDG’s profile across the built environment sector, government, media and public.

● Manage all communication channels: email newsletters, social media, website.

● Lead media engagement and develop high-quality content and messaging.
 

Events

● Support the delivery of our flagship events, including the National Urban Design Conference and Urban Design Awards.

● Lead on planning, promotion, and delivery of both in-person and online events.
 

What We’re Looking For

Essential Experience

● Minimum 3 years in fundraising, marketing, or communications in a relevant sector.

● Track record of developing and delivering successful income-generation and engagement strategies.

● Strong communications experience across digital platforms and media engagement.
 

Essential Skills

● Excellent verbal and written communication, networking, and presentation skills.

● Website and CMS management; confident with tools like Mailchimp, Eventbrite, and Zoom.

● Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.

What We Offer

● Flexible Hybrid Working: One day in the office, the rest remote. Some UK travel and occasional evening/weekend work.

We have a great opportunity for a Principal Gifts Lead, generating income for the four London Youth Zones for the OnSide Network. This role would be great for an individual who has worked in leadership roles and wants to retain seniority but doesn’t want to line manage.

We are looking for a candidate who thrives on generating new business and enjoys working with senior stakeholders. You will be a key ambassador for the charity, working with the London Youth Zones, creating exciting new connections and potential donor leads. As part of this exciting role, you will have a solid understanding of building relationships with a range of corporate prospects and individuals, have excellent negotiating skills and enjoy working across a team of successful philanthropy, corporate and grant fundraisers.

To be successful as the Principal Gifts Lead you will need:

• Proven experience and track record of personally securing seven figure gifts from donors through face-to-face meetings or strong transferable experience in the corporate sector such as client-facing business development, sales or banking/finance
• Exceptional experience of developing a new pipeline of prospective donors/clients/customers and being pro-active in successfully converting these to achieve ambitious targets.
• An enthusiasm for and ability to make new connections with senior individuals; at ease in networking and holding your own in a room of business leaders, entrepreneurs, and well other connected people.

The Society of Antiquaries is seeking an experienced and motivated heritage professional to lead our world-class Library, Archive and Museum collections. This is an exciting time to be joining the Society of Antiquaries. In the autumn of 2024, the Society purchased its premises at Burlington House on a long lease, after years of uncertainty and negotiation. Now, together with the four neighbouring learned Societies, we are joint landlords of both the buildings and the courtyard at Burlington House. 2025 sees the beginning of a major development project Past Matters: the Future at Burlington House and the role of our Collections will be at the heart of this. 

The Society welcomes hybrid and flexible working. For this full-time role, we ask that the post-holder usually works on site for three days per week, including Wednesdays. Daily core hours have a degree of flexibility, to be discussed with the General Secretary.
