We are looking for a Legacy Administrator to support the administration of legacies left to the charity. This vital role helps ensure that Dogs Trust receives the legacy income needed to continue our life-saving work with dogs, while working closely with colleagues across the Legal Department to keep the charity operating smoothly and effectively.

What does this role do?

As a Legacy Administrator you will: 

• Process incoming legacy notifications, involving managing post, opening new files on the First Class 4 database, and accurately inputting data from solicitors and Smee & Ford notification reports.
• Manage a caseload of pecuniary and specific legacies, ensuring timely receipt of income and accurate record-keeping.
•  Represent and protect the charity’s interests in correspondence with solicitors, other beneficiaries, and members of the public.
• Responding to queries via phone and monitoring and managing the Legacies inbox and escalating significant issues to senior members of the legacy administration team where needed.
•  Maintain up-to-date and accurate records on the First Class 4 database, ensuring all legacy cases are regularly reviewed and progressed.
• Support with reporting, financial administration, and the management of specific gifts, including obtaining valuations and advice to maximise income for the charity.
• Process and allocate all legacy income accurately.
• Provide administrative support to the team and help with other ad hoc tasks as needed.

This could include ensuring that medication is arranged from the hospital pharmacy, someone is at home to greet them, food and heating are available, and the condition of the home is safe to return to. You may be required to liaise with Adult Social Care and other home providers to coordinate home support. You’ll follow up on calls or visits to ensure the patient is managing well at home. By providing the proper support, patients can be discharged sooner, and the risk of readmission is significantly reduced. 

We’re seeking someone who:

• Has experience working with vulnerable adults in social care, healthcare, or the community/voluntary sector
• Communicates with empathy and confidence across different teams at different levels, and with patients
• Is highly organised, with excellent time management skills
• Has awareness and respect for cultural differences
• (Bonus) Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting.

About the role

The Trusts and Foundations Advisor works strategically within the Partnerships and Business Development team to maximise impact and income by building high value partnerships and securing five, six and seven figure grants.

What the job involves

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and it’s harming too many lives. At Prostate Cancer UK, one of our top priorities is funding research that leads to real change. It’s vital we do our best to make sure this research makes a meaningful difference to men’s lives, and that’s where you come in.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Senior Research Officer to help us deliver our funding schemes and patient and public involvement work.  This role sits in the Research Funding Team and will provide us with additional support during an exciting time while we implement a new grants management system. You’ll work across all our grant funding schemes, ensuring we are following best practise in research funding.

You’ll take responsibility for a small portfolio of active research grants, providing support and guidance to the researchers leading them. You’ll be a main point of contact for grant applicants, supporting them as they apply to us and will be responsible for running peer review. Using your understanding of research funding and administration, you’ll help make sure our funding schemes run smoothly and to time. You’ll work with colleagues to support patient and public involvement in research both in our review process and through our Patient Representative Network who help researchers make sure their work is focussed on the needs of men with prostate cancer.

This role is a fixed term to cover an internal secondment for 12 months.

What we want from you

We’re looking for a Senior Research Officer who is passionate about research and has a desire to develop knowledge of prostate cancer. You’ll hold a biomedical degree (or a degree in a related subject), or with equivalent experience gained in research funding, administration or the wider research sector.

You’ll already have a good grasp of how grant funding works and, ideally, some experience of research administration and peer review. Confidence in interpreting complex scientific information is important, as you’ll be using this knowledge to find the right people to peer review the grant applications that are submitted to our schemes.

You're also an accurate record keeper with a keen eye for detail and excellent time management skills. You're assured and clear in your communication, both written and verbal, and you're able to respond to a wide range of inquiries from researchers while always adhering to data protection and confidentiality best practices.  Experience of using Symplectic’s Grant Tracker would be an advantage but is not essential.

Inside Track supports professionals working within major industries to come together — often in confidential or anonymous settings — to surface insights and build collective power for an equitable, regenerative future.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The role is a Project Manager at a start-up non-profit looking to create a global movement to support senior professionals in powerful industries to - collectively and anonymously - help drive positive change in their industries.

Your job will be to help recruit, facilitate and mobilise corporate ‘Insiders’ to help them transform their industries to support a more just and regenerative world.

We are looking for someone with skills in relationship building, facilitation, research and project management. We are particularly interested in candidates who have expertise working in public health and health inequalities, or who have a background in diversity, equity and inclusion in a corporate setting.

This is an amazing opportunity for someone interested in shaping a new and ambitious organisation, and supporting the development of a new method of civil society organising.

PERSON SPECIFICATION 

We are looking for someone with at least two years of professional experience who is: 

1. Able to work delicately in high trust environments; 
2. Able to work collaboratively with partners; 
3. Energised to search and recruit for Insiders from a ‘cold’ start (e.g. building new relationships on Linkedin, etc.); and
4. Able to help build the ecosystem which we are a part of. 

We will be looking for people who have had to build things from scratch and are used to working with diverse stakeholder groups and holding a strong sense of purpose. 

We are particularly interested in candidates with a background and experience in public health, health inequalities and diversity, equity and inclusion.

As the Database Officer, you will play a key role in managing and supporting the organisation’s Beacon CRM system. You will ensure that the data remains accurate, the processes are efficient, and colleagues receive the training and support they need to use it effectively. This role involves troubleshooting user queries, maintaining system security, and delivering improvements that enhance data quality and usability. You will also contribute to projects that integrate new processes and systems, helping the organisation maximise the value of its data. About you

The ideal candidate will have proven experience supporting and maintaining CRM systems within a not-for-profit environment. You should be confident in providing high-quality user support, managing data quality, and working with both technical and non-technical colleagues. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly are essential. Knowledge of data management best practices, GDPR, and charity sector operations are desirable. Excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to build positive relationships will help you succeed in this role.
