The Targeted Support Team deliver a wide variety of programmes to empower young people and adults to improve their confidence and skills and then progress into training and employment.

The Role

This is an exciting time to join CXK as we are looking to extend our work in Supported Employment. These roles will support a small caseload of individuals with a range of needs who are looking to move into work, enabling them to find the right opportunities and sustain the roles through in-work support. The coaches will also need to be skilled in working with employers to support them to make their roles accessible and sustainable. Growing and maintaining a strong employer base will be a central part of these exciting new roles.

About the role

We are looking for a confident and organised Projects and Events Executive to plan, support and help to deliver a high-profile event taking place in Quarter 2 of 2026. This is the first time Sightsavers have taken part in this event, which presents excellent fundraising and publicity opportunities; you will utilise your experience of managing and delivering high profile projects or events to ensure the event is a huge success, providing a distinctive and impactful platform for Sightsavers to promote our work.

About you

As the Projects and Events Executive, you will be highly organised with excellent communication skills, including experience of diplomatic and professional liaison with external stakeholders. You will utilise your exceptional time, budget and project management skills in all logistical aspects of the planning and delivery of the event, including volunteer management, accessibility requirements and meeting deliverables and deadlines. A commitment to equality, excellent writing skills and an understanding of accessibility requirements will underpin your work.

Hours

The Projects and Events Executive role can initially be worked in a part time capacity although it will need to increase to full time in the month leading up to the event; flexibility is required in the lead up to and during the event to work occasional unsociable hours and travel within the UK.

Essential:

 

· Proven experience of managing and delivering high profile events or projects

· Demonstrable experience in a role that demanded exceptional organisational skills and communication skills

· Experience of managing volunteers and / or teams

YMCA What is Sexual Exploitation (WiSE) is our child sexual exploitation project which works with children and young people across Sussex and Surrey. Our primary focus of work is supporting young people affected by exploitation through raising awareness, education and empowerment.

We have an exciting opportunity to join the WiSE team as a Male Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) Practitioner. This role involves providing specialist support, working across Sussex and Surrey to provide case work support and group interventions to boys and young men at risk of or experiencing sexual exploitation, as well as those exhibiting harmful sexual behaviour. You will deliver outreach sessions in various settings, collaborate with professionals to support interventions leading to prosecutions, and provide training on boys/young men and sexual exploitation.

Due to the sensitive nature of the client group and in order to ensure that the young people feel safe, supported and understood, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the post holder to be male, as permitted under the Equality Act 2010.

A full driving licence and access to a car are essential due to the wide geographic area covered by the service. You will be required to visit head office in Hove once a week for an anchor day. The other days will be across Sussex and Surrey in the community

In delivering the role, the key responsibilities are:

• Carry a caseload of boys and young men identified as exhibiting harmful sexual behaviours and/or being sexually exploited
• Work collaboratively with other professionals to provide intensive and holistic support
• Maintain detailed case notes and contribute to reports
• Facilitate group work interventions in schools, accommodation projects and youth groups
• Deliver detached sessions in various settings to engage at-risk boys and young men
• Provide expertise and increase awareness of harmful sexual behaviour and sexual exploitation
• Contribute to WiSE Child Exploitation training and awareness campaigns

• People & Organisational development: Lead best practice in our people management strategies, policies and practices as well as championing diversity and inclusion and staff learning and development.

To be the right person for this role, some of the requirements you will need to meet include:

• Proven ability to operate at a Director/Board level and as a senior leadership team member; backed up with strong experience and a proven track record as a Director of Finance.
• To be a qualified accountant (CCAB recognised or equivalent) with minimum five years post-qualification experience and ongoing CPD.
• Proven high level financial management skills and experience of developing and delivering business and financial strategies and managing complex budgets and financial modelling.
• Proven experience of directing, leading and developing multi-disciplinary teams and working with senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrable up-to-date working knowledge of charity law including SORP, charity governance, employment law/HR best practice, Data Protection (GDPR), and strong understanding of IT systems and facilities management.
• Demonstrable strong analytical and communication skills; ability to balance strategic perspective with operational delivery and experience of working in a changing organisation operating in a changing external environment for the not-for-profit sector.
• Able to travel for work and/or work occasional unsocial hours if required.

We Are With You in Kent for Young People is the commissioned provider of substance use support for young people aged between 10-25 years old. 

We offer a range of free and confidential services to young people, professionals and their families. 

As a service we offer both short term and long term one to one work with young people and a range of group work options.

All interventions stem from the service's ethos of providing accurate, individualised and non-judgemental support and guidance around drugs and alcohol.

This Advanced Practitioner role is specifically designed for those with advanced substance knowledge and/ or experience of working with over 18s in a relevant field.

This role involves working one to one with young adults aged 18-25 delivering a range of harm reduction interventions in relation to drugs and alcohol including ketamine, cannabis, alcohol, cocaine and benzodiazepines. 

You will work with our most complex 18- 25 substance using young adults. They will be expected to show initiative, forward thinking and independence in their work and show exemplary recording in line with processes and policies. 

Our young adults require a holistic approach and may be experiencing difficulties around mental health, homelessness, offending and familial breakdown. As such, you will work closely with external agencies and families to help our young adults achieve the best outcomes. 

As an Advanced Practitioner you will carry and manage a caseload of young adults, engaging them in sessions in the community such as at school, their home or in community buildings. 

Each worker has a designated area of work within Kent, (this role is to cover North/ West Kent). You will be paid mileage at a rate of 45p per mile.

The Research, Training and Consultancy Team is transforming. We focus on providing evidence based and insightful research, training and consultancy to a range of different stakeholders within the transport and planning sectors. We are looking for a Housing Mobile Night Worker to provide floating support to our teams in high support 24-hour services as well as medium support and transitional housing units to ensure our properties are safe, secure, and welcoming through the night.

You will be based at Lansworth House in Hove and will support the static night worker there during the night as well as undertaking your mobile duties across Brighton, Hove and Worthing.

Working on site you will be responsible for ensuring the service is safe by keeping clear records of night time activity within the building. You will regularly complete building checks and monitor CCTV upkeeping health and safety regulations in accordance with YMCA DLG's policies and procedures.  You will work to prevent any anti-social behaviour from impacting our neighbours and other residents. You will work alongside other support staff to maximise the wellbeing of residents by completing one to one interventions with young people who may be experiencing mental health crisis and/or who may need medical assistance.

This role involves lone working, so you will need to be comfortable with decision making and following procedures. However, before joining the rota you will have the opportunity to get to know the team and the services, take part in an induction, complete the necessary training, and undertake shadow shifts to ensure you feel confident and supported.
