We are seeking a Sessional Project Worker to join our Perinatal Outreach service, to co-facilitate group support for perinatal clients (pregnant women and birthing people of children less than 2 years old) within the London Boroughs of Bromley and Greenwich.

You will help to support women under the care of the Oxleas Perinatal Mental Health Team with moderate to severe mental health challenges who have been identified as requiring additional practical and social support.

You will attend a regular programme of perinatal support groups and activities that encourage women to access outreach support within the local community, develop social networks and reduce isolation as part of their recovery plan. Current activities include weekly play sessions, walking group, soft play, picnics and monthly outings.

Applicants should have a good understanding of mental health challenges in the perinatal period alongside experience of responding to emotional crisis and managing risk. An ability to adapt to multiple and diverse needs, to be proactive and work independently but collaboratively is essential for this role.

Engagement Partner London

JOB PURPOSE  

Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good. The Engagement Partner will be responsible for delivering both face to face and remote engagement with schools, teachers, children and young people, and their wider communities within an allocated area. The role will support schools with the setup, rollout and continuous improvement of breakfast provision, and engage with school communities to educate on the importance of breakfast on learning, enabling increased uptake in a barrier and stigma free way by optimising provision and encouraging reach.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To develop strong relationships with supported schools in the allocated area, enabling, preserving, embedding, enhancing and extending stigma- and barrier-free breakfast provision through a combination of in person and remote engagement. 

• To educate and engage the wider school community, including teachers, parents and children and young people, on the importance of breakfast and the implications of hunger as a barrier to learning through assemblies, staff meetings, online support, virtual and in-person events, and regional events throughout the academic year. 

• To engage with the wider community, both in person and remotely, to advocate for the importance of breakfast, promote the work being delivered in existing schools, and support Magic Breakfast’s campaigning and advocacy strategy and plans.

Rosa is looking for a thoughtful and ambitious fundraiser to join us at an exciting point in our growth. This is a new role with the chance to build experience across philanthropy, corporate partnerships, events and prospect development, while working closely with colleagues across fundraising, communications and grant making.

Job purpose

Reporting to the Philanthropy Manager, the Fundraising Officer will help support Rosa’s major donor and corporate fundraising at an exciting point in our growth.

Working across philanthropy, corporate partnerships, donor stewardship, events and prospect development, you will play a key role in helping us build strong supporter relationships and grow income to power Rosa’s mission. This is a varied and developmental role, offering the chance to work across every stage of the donor journey while building specialist fundraising skills in a high-ambition, values-led team.

It is an ideal opportunity for someone ready to step up from a fundraising assistant/ coordinator or similar role and take on broader responsibility in a national organisation with a clear purpose. The work you do will help generate funding for Rosa’s grant making, capacity building and influencing work — giving you a direct connection between fundraising and impact.

Key responsibilities

• Excellent stewardship of major donor and corporate relationships, including keeping donors up to date with Rosa’s work through events and meetings, written reports and newsletters
• Manage a portfolio of individual donors, major donors and corporates
• Coordinate and deliver successful in person donor engagement events, currently twice a year with one large event in March and a smaller event in November
• Build a strong prospect pipeline of corporate donors by undertaking prospect research and contributing to new business pitches
• Undertake prospect research and compelling donor briefings for new major donors and new giving circle members (Thrive Network)
• Maintain high quality CRM records to record each stage of donors’ journeys and supporting the transition to a new CRM (Beacon)
• Able to work in a manner consistent with Rosa’s values and principles
• Carry out all aspects of this job description in accordance with policies set out in Rosa’s handbook, paying particular attention to safeguarding, data protection and equality and diversity.

You may also be asked to carry out other tasks that are in line with the responsibilities of the Fundraising Officer.

Experience, knowledge & skills (all essential)

• Two years’ relevant experience in a fundraising role (working in a role involving prospect research and donor stewardship of High Net Worth Individuals or major donors and/ or corporates)
• Experience of event management, meetings and developing research briefings
• Strong written communication and drafting skills
• Confidence in building relationships with external stakeholders
• Attention to detail in recording and tracking interactions with donors and prospects
• Able to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Understanding of excellent supporter care
• Experience of using Microsoft Office and a CRM database

Safe Haven Sussex CIC is a non-profit community interest company providing accommodation and support for vulnerable adults who have been homeless or vulnerably housed. The Seagull Project is a medium-support service providing housing for up to 40 residents across 7 properties in Brighton and Hove. The Seagull Project takes a harm-reduction approach, supporting individuals with a range of complex and multiple support needs, which may include the active use of substances.

The Seagull Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of the service and manage a team of Support Coordinators, ensuring a high standard of person-centred and trauma informed support is consistently provided to residents. In addition, the Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the team to manage risk, enabling residents to live safely and are supported to work toward their goals. A comprehensive understanding of safeguarding procedures and risk management is necessary for this role.

Job Type: Full-time, 1 year contract with possibility of extension.
Schedule: Monday - Friday (9am-5pm).
A full driving licence, use of a vehicle and business insurance is essential for the role.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the referrals and assessments process, working closely with Brighton and Hove City Council.
• Attend regular meetings with the Supported Housing and Commissioning Team, providing relevant updates about the service and residents.
• Support the welfare team with incidents and provide out of hours support on designated days, in line with the on call rota.
• Work in partnership with local services to provide comprehensive and holistic support.
• Ensure staff deliver support within a trauma-informed framework, aligning with the objectives of the Local Authority.
• Work toward organisational and Brighton and Hove City Council targets.
• Support the team to coordinate and accompany residents to key appointments, including but not limited to GP visits, recovery services and probation meetings.
• Manage a team of three Support Coordinators and a Team Leader, providing regular work reviews, casework supervisions and team meetings.
• Produce monthly reports about the service, to be shared with the Head of Service and Directors.
• Work collaboratively with the Finance Manager to address longstanding challenges relating to rent and service charge.
• To promote a harm-reduction approach to the management of incidents, with the aim of supporting residents to maintain their housing.
• Conduct critical incident debriefs and provide emotional and psychological support to the team, whilst signposting to the Employee Assistance Scheme and other relevant specialist support.
• Work with the team to create support plans and risk assessments, ensuring these are reviewed and updated regularly.

Experience:

• 1 year supporting vulnerable adults.
• 1 year experience leading, supervising or managing a team.
• Experience in a similar or related role, with a good understanding of the sector.
