Arthritis Action is the UK charity giving hands-on, practical help to improve the quality of life of people affected by arthritis. Purpose

The Executive Assistant (EA) will serve as the right hand to the CEO, Deputy CEO and Head of Finance & Operations (Executive Management Team – EMT) ensuring efficient day-to-day operations, handling high-level administrative support, and enabling the EMT to focus on strategic priorities.

This role demands high standards of organisation, confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion, given the EA’s access to sensitive information, strategic discussions, and senior-level correspondence. The EA will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including staff, trustees, donors, and partners, requiring sound judgement, diplomacy, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities – This is a new role for Arthritis Action, giving you the opportunity to bring your expertise to help us shape the role. The role will include but not be limited to:

Executive Support

• Provide high-quality administrative support to the EMT for internal and external meetings and events, including diary management, communications, organising logistics (room/venue bookings, catering, etc.), travel planning, speaking engagements and meeting coordination
• Draft correspondence, reports, presentations, and meeting agendas
• Maintain accurate and organised digital and physical files
• Assist with EMT expense claims

Board, Committees & Stakeholder Coordination

• Schedule and organise board and committee meetings
• Prepare and circulate agendas, papers, and minutes
• Support on trustee recruitment as required, including making arrangements for interviews
• Support trustee onboarding, record keeping, and compliance with charity governance requirements
• Liaise with board members and key stakeholders on behalf of the EMT
• Maintain statutory records and assist with annual reporting 

Project, Fundraising & Operations Support

• Support EMT as they work with trustees and the team to develop our 2027-2030 strategy
• Aid the preparation of our 85th Anniversary in 2027
• Track deadlines and follow up on action items for the EMT
• Support on special projects, events, and fundraising initiatives
• Conduct research and prepare background materials as needed
• Assist with a large-scale digital file organisation and clean-up

Oaklands & St Kilda's is made up of two newly refurbished six-bedroom homes, located close to each other in Ealing, West London. The interim will provide continuity across finance and operations while supporting several strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities
• Maintain oversight of finance, budgeting, reporting, audit preparation, cash-flow and financial controls.
• Support governance, HR, property and IT, working with a small internal team and external advisers.
• Manage early-stage merger or partnership discussions, coordinating due-diligence, preparing analysis, and briefing the CEO and trustees.
• Support wider organisational change, including income diversification, funding negotiations and the next phase of internal restructuring.
• Ensure change plans are well-scoped, costed and tracked, providing additional senior capacity to the CEO.

Candidate profile
We are seeking a pragmatic, values-led senior leader with:
• Strong financial and operational management experience (qualified accountant or equivalent preferred).
• Experience of organisational change, integration or merger processes in the charity, education or public sector.
• Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a small, fast-moving environment.
• Excellent judgement, diplomacy and communication skills.

As a Strengths and Assets Coach at Crisis, the national charity for people experiencing homelessness, you will play a key role in supporting people who have experienced homelessness to identify, develop, and build on their personal strengths. Your work will centre on empowering individuals to create sustainable housing situations through meaningful community connections, access to training and development, and opportunities in employment, volunteering, and leisure.

In this role, you will draw on a diverse toolkit of coaching and facilitation skills to support members in setting person-centred goals and taking practical steps toward them. Using a psychologically informed approach, you will help build confidence, resilience, and the capacity to access wider community resources—enabling members to thrive as active citizens. You will also work with the learning team to support the delivery of a range of engaging formal and informal learning opportunities focused on employability, volunteering, tenancy skills, and personal development.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and grow the Strengths and Assets services at Crisis London Skylight, working closely with colleagues and partners across multiple sectors. Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Essential for Success:

• Experience in community education, tenancy skills development, volunteering, training, and tenancy sustainment.
• Experience working alongside marginalised individuals or groups, using a coaching approach to build strengths and assets.
• A strong understanding of the needs, challenges, and sensitivities involved in supporting people facing homelessness and exclusion, with the ability to develop practical, person-centred solutions.
• Awareness of the barriers to engagement and participation experienced by people facing homelessness and an understanding of how these might be overcome.
• Knowledge of psychologically informed approaches, particularly when working with people who have experienced complex trauma or long-term marginalisation.

JOB PURPOSE

The Network Engagement Officer works to help realise the emergence of locally led humanitarian hubs around the world, that are interconnected and interdependent; and supported by Start Network. Hubs are at the heart of Start Network’s transition to a decentralised and locally led network of networks. The purpose of this position is to enhance and improve the engagement within and between hubs, facilitating interactive platforms among coordinators, members and leaders in order to widen their reach within this network of networks.

About the role  

We are seeking two passionate Senior Event Executive to drive the ongoing development of our event products. Your focus will be on continuous improvement, bringing compelling, supporter-focused products and propositions to life.

You will play a crucial role in managing major fundraising events with high participant volumes across our event portfolio.

These roles offer the chance to support the development and delivery of some of the largest and most enduring fundraising products in the charity sector.  You will lead our sector-leading flagship events: one role will focus on the iconic London to Brighton Bike Ride, and the other on the London to Brighton Off Road and Bournemouth Pier to Pier Swim.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you bring relevant experience managing income generation products from start to finish, specifically within the context of product marketing, fundraising campaigns and/or fundraising events.

You are enthusiastic, proactive, and commercially aware, with a proven track record in delivering multi-channel customer journeys, managing, and executing projects, and presenting to both internal and external stakeholders.

With a solid understanding of marketing and/or fundraising (including insight, customer journeys and marketing communications), you are knowledgeable about content management systems and customer databases.

Working arrangements 

We currently have two opportunities available: one permanent contract and one fixed-term contract to cover a secondment until 5 May 2026.

This is a hybrid role, where your work will be split between your home and at least one day per week, on average, in our London Office. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.    

There will be a requirement for flexible out of hours working to support occasional evening and weekend activity. You will be compensated for this with time off in lieu.

Harris Hill is working with a London based charity, who is partnering with Harris Hill to find them a Head of Communications who can start ASAP, for 6 to 12 months, on a full time basis. 

We’re looking for someone with strong internal communications experience as well as leadership skills, the team have been through a lot of change and require someone who can pull them together, but also, have a lot of internal changes being planned with an internal communications strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and deliver Communications strategy to deliver strategic objectives, in particular to raise our profile and improve understanding and reach of our work.

Ensure that any PR and digital communications and social media channels are aligned, appropriate and ‘on point’, helping to create relevant, integrated and timely messaging for their content

Plan, monitor and control budgets and resources to achieve agreed objectives

Work closely with the Head of Marketing, Head of Design, Head of Supporter Engagement, and wider teams to develop impactful, integrated campaigns which deliver joint objectives as part of the wider marketing and communications strategy.
