Experience of presenting to and working closely with Boards, Finance Committees and other senior governance groups will be essential.
The right candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record of leading business improvement, organisational change and operational modernisation, alongside the ability to build credibility and influence across diverse stakeholder groups. We’re a small charity with a global reach and an important purpose: to reduce the burden of pulmonary vascular disease (PVD) with a particular focus on pulmonary hypertension (PH) - a serious condition that can lead to heart damage and trigger symptoms like breathlessness, chest pain, fatigue, poor growth, fainting, and light-headedness. PH can reduce both quality of life and length of life, but it isn’t widely recognised or well-understood.
We aim to improve clinical care, education, and PVD research. To do this, we bring together an international network of thousands of clinicians, scientists, academics, and industry partners supported by our small team based in Bermondsey, London. Together, we deliver conferences, e-learning, and an academic journal, raise awareness of PVD, and encourage collaboration in research.
About the role
We are seeking a Marketing & Events Officer to help the charity achieve its mission by growing its international profile, driving membership, increasing engagement and income through delivering great marketing, webinars and event communications.
PVRI's events are delivered collaboratively across the charity, and this role acts as the key coordination point for event communications, delegate engagement and webinar delivery. No two days are the same. One day, you might be writing content for our website, emails, newsletters, or social media channels, and the next, you might be welcoming respected speakers and attendees to one of our international scientific webinars.
A key part of the role is supporting marketing and comms for our face-to-face events and working with the team to provide on-site support. These include our annual global scientific congress (often held towards the end of January in a different city around the world) and our biennial symposia (which usually take place in June, usually in the USA or Europe).
Our staff team are not scientists or medical experts – but we are skilled at warmly facilitating and uniting the global scientific and medical expert community. Thanks to funding from the Movement for Health Grant Scheme, we're creating an exciting new fixed-term role to develop the MS Warrior Alumni Club. Building on the success of the 12-week MS Warrior programme, you'll help create opportunities for people to remain active, connected and supported long after the programme ends through local activities, online communities and volunteer-led peer support.
Working alongside volunteers, people living with MS, healthcare professionals and community partners, you'll create opportunities that encourage ongoing physical activity, wellbeing and peer support across Scotland.
A key part of the role will be recruiting, supporting and developing a network of MS Warrior Alumni Champions. Using their own lived experience, these volunteers will encourage others to build confidence, overcome barriers to physical activity and become part of a supportive, community-led network.
You'll also develop partnerships with leisure providers, community organisations and healthcare professionals, creating more inclusive opportunities for people living with MS to be active in their local communities.
This is an opportunity to shape an innovative model that has the potential to influence how community-based physical activity and peer support are delivered for people living with MS across Scotland.
No two days will be the same. One day you might be facilitating a community conversation with people living with MS, the next you'll be supporting volunteers, developing new partnerships or helping launch a local wellbeing activity.

ISEAL is seeking an experienced charity finance professional to play an important role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and systems.
As part of our small finance team, the Finance Coordinator will help provide a strong financial administration service to the organisation. The postholder will work closely with ISEAL’s membership team, as well as across different areas of ISEAL’s finances. Having recently introduced a new finance system (Sage INTACCT) and generally overhauling our major systems, we see this role as being part of our journey to learn how to further exploit this set-up.
The role has some core responsibilities focused on ISEAL’s sales ledger, timesheets and payroll. The Sales ledger covers both income from our members, and other customers. The postholder will hold responsibility for engaging colleagues across the organisation with the relevant finance processes. All our core-finance roles also cover for each other as needed.
As an ideal candidate, you will bring a good understanding of accounting and finance, ideally having passed some professional exams. You will have experience of finance systems as well as excellent IT and excel skills. You will bring strong technological competencies and an interest to develop financial systems and processes. An ability to manage your own work and comfortably communicating with colleagues and customers alike comes naturally to you.

Prospex is a well-established youth charity celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. We are deeply embedded within the local community and are recognised for our expertise in supporting vulnerable children and young people across Islington. Our experienced and committed team delivers high-quality youth work that helps young people develop confidence, resilience and positive futures.
Over the past seven years, we have successfully strengthened and diversified our income base. Our funding comes from a broad range of sources, including charitable trusts and foundations, statutory grants and contracts, individual donors, community fundraising activities and, increasingly, corporate supporters. This diversified approach has helped us build financial stability and continue responding to local need.
This new role presents an exciting opportunity to build on these foundations and take our fundraising to the next level. The focus of our income generation will remain with successfully securing income from trusts and statutory sources however there is also potential to increase income across all funding streams. We see particular potential for growth in individual giving, major donors and corporate partnerships. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape and develop all these areas, making a lasting contribution to the charity's future sustainability and impact.
