The Finance department is a shared services function working across the NCIs to provide a comprehensive, cost-effective finance service to each organisation, and helping to co-ordinate joint projects where appropriate. The team also provides support to, and promotes best practice across the wider Church in relation to financial matters, including monitoring the financial health of Dioceses, Cathedrals, Theological Education Institutions etc. The Finance team is currently supporting their NCI clients with some major change and transformation projects, as well as undergoing significant changes to their own ways of working to ensure they can deliver a high-quality Finance service which meets the needs of the NCIs. This includes undertaking a Finance Transformation Programme to help Finance develop their service.
As a Financial Processing Officer, you will be a key contributor to the Finance team's mission of providing efficient and effective financial support. Legacy giving is a vital and growing part of this programme, generating £5–7.5 million each year and playing a crucial role in securing long-term, sustainable income. Following a recent step-change in investment, there is now a significant opportunity to accelerate growth and position legacy giving more centrally across Greenpeace UK’s fundraising and supporter engagement.

We are now seeking a Head of Legacy Giving to lead this important area. Reporting to the Deputy Fundraising Director, Key Relationships, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for Greenpeace UK’s legacy programme, overseeing both marketing and administration to maximise future income from gifts in wills.

You will lead a small specialist team and work closely with colleagues across the organisation, as well as internationally across the Greenpeace network. The role offers the opportunity to influence both UK and global legacy strategy, contributing to a shared ambition for growth across multiple markets.

As Head of Legacy Giving, you will:

• Develop and deliver Greenpeace UK’s legacy giving strategy, driving growth in both pledged and realised income
• Lead and integrate legacy marketing and administration, ensuring a seamless and high-performing programme
• Manage and develop a team of two – Senior Legacy Marketing Officer, Legacy Case Manager – fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement

Essential skills and experience:

• Full-spectrum legacy fundraising experience, across both legacy marketing and legacy administration
• Ability to operate at Head-level, including experience of developing and delivering strategy, while remaining close to delivery
• Line management experience with ability to lead and motivate teams, building capability and performance
• Budget experience must include managing similar levels of investment (six-figures+)
• Strong understanding of the UK legacy market, trends and best practice

We are seeking a Grants Manager to join the Research Talent, Policy and Programmes Team and take oversight for the delivery of a sub-set of the Academy’s UK and international grants portfolio to support our strategy, and – notably - our strategic priority to support the next generation of researchers to reach their full potential.

Working in a small team gives you the opportunity to develop line management skills, set and manage your budgets and be directly involved in securing funding for our schemes. You will keep abreast of developments in UK medical research funding policies and the wider career policy context to ensure that the Academy's grants schemes remain innovative, attractive and fit for purpose.

What you will be doing

Scheme Delivery

• Managing a subset of our portfolio of UK and/or international grant schemes, maintaining and developing robust operational processes in accordance with the high standards of the Academy.
• Drafting funding proposals, in liaison with the Head of Grant Schemes, for existing and potential new schemes.
• Developing and implementing new grants schemes and all associated processes and documentation, as required.
• Producing high-quality reports, briefing and updates for both an internal and external audience. This includes the preparation of papers for Council, Officers and other Academy meetings, as required.

Budgeting

• Developing and managing the budgets for a portfolio of grant schemes and/or activities, in line with internal management systems, to include the regular forecasting and monitoring of expenditure.
• Working closely with the Finance Department.

Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Development

• Establishing contacts and liaising with a range of stakeholders, including Higher Education Institutions, funding agencies, delivery partners, other professional bodies and early research leaders, in order to ensure the Academy offer is reflective of the current landscape and that we are responsive to continued developments.
• Liaising with the Academy’s Communications and Policy teams to ensure the grant schemes relate to the Academy’s wider strategy and to raise the profile of our schemes.
• Working across the organisation, with individuals from different departments and at varying levels of seniority.

Other Responsibilities

• Developing and overseeing meetings and celebrations for award holders, including regular inductions, training workshops and scientific meetings.
• Undertaking any other ad-hoc duties that can be reasonably expected of this post.

Peer Mentoring Officer

Fitzrovia Youth in Action is looking for an experienced, passionate and enthusiastic person for our Peer Mentoring Officer role. If you feel like this is you, we would love to hear from you!

The successful post holder will work with the peer mentoring team to empower young people to co-produce and engage in their peer support projects which will draw on their own knowledge, feelings, and lived-experience to help their peers.

The post holder will also support in the trainining of any professionals and volunteers that work with young people, especially around mentoring. This also include training FYA Youth Facilitators to deliver our peer mentoring service (one to one and group work).

FYA is working to develop peer support through the organisation and capacity build external partners pan London to deliver their own peer support programme. The PMO will also support in this peer mentoring capacity building programme, which will comprise of train the trainer, masterclasses and support to organisations.

The training workshops can include mental health, youth participation and general mentoring as the topics. The training workshops look to train professionals all around London in best practice for youth led mentoring and mental health related projects through our co-produced masterclasses in addition to Train the Trainer programmes on facilitating mentoring projects for young people. Youth Mental Health First Aid will also be on offer to train professionals or those working with young people. Responsibilities will also include supporting any deliverables, outputs and ensure any targets are met. 

The post holder will work as part of the Peer Mentoring Team to work together to deliver the projects to meet the targets of the programmes.

Role overview

Contract type: 3-Year Fixed-term 1 July 2026 until 30 June 2029

Hours: Full-time or part-time (35 hours per week Monday to Friday for full-time, minimum 28 hours for part-time). Occasional work in the evenings and at weekends may be required but with plenty of notice. Rainbow Migration encourages staff to maintain a good work life balance and has a TOIL system in place.

Salary: Starting at £27,011 FTE (pro rata), with potential step increases each year up to £30,400, plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. In addition to an annual step increase, we try to give a separate inflationary increase every April

Location: Rainbow Migration’s step-free offices are based between Vauxhall and the Oval, London. This role will have an office-based contract but the postholder can choose to work from home for part of the week in agreement with their line manager as per our hybrid working policy. You must be available to work from our offices in London when necessary. The successful candidate would also be welcome to work from the office full-time if that is their preference. At the time of creating this role, staff mostly work from home. There might also be occasional travel outside London with plenty of notice. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Annual leave: Initially 25 days per year. After two years of employment, this will increase by one day per year up to a maximum of 28 days (pro rata if working part-time).
