What does this role do?

As Project Delivery Officer you will: 

• Coordinate and monitor project activities, resources, and schedules to ensure timely and efficient delivery.

• Track progress, manage risks and issues (RAID), and escalate concerns when necessary to maintain momentum.

The Deputy CEO Directorate (DCEO) plays a key role in overseeing Dogs Trust's internal operations, ensuring the effective management of the Charity’s financial, legal, IT, efficiencies, facilities, and governance functions. Programme and Operations Assistants are the backbone of the day-to-day running of NEON. The purpose of this role  is to ensure Comms Hub operations run smoothly and that the wider org has a dynamic online presence. 

The Comm Hub has a busy training schedule with a host of different trainings running throughout the year. Primarily you will support organising in-person and online training, scheduling meetings and helping with administrative tasks across the Hub. For 1 day per week you will be the comms officer for the rest of the organisation. This means working with the rest of the team to schedule and regularly post about NEON’s work on social media, build our social media presence and ensure the NEON website is up to date. The purpose of this role is:

1. Ensure NEON’s Communications Hub’s operations run smoothly, simply and effectively - whether that’s organising venue and transport for our flagship Spokesperson Network training, scheduling meetings or organising team away days. 

2. Work closely especially closely with the Training Programme to ensure broadcast media training, press officer training and our messaging 101 training are well organised and delivered. 

3. Be the digital comms officer for the wider NEON team. Scheduling posts on social media and ensuring the NEON website is up to date.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a recent law graduate or early career professional with an outstanding eye for detail, strong analytical and research skills, and demonstrable experience in writing and communicating persuasively.

Working closely with our tight-knit and dynamic team, you will help deliver our unique court monitoring programme by following major cases related to corruption and economic crime that are heard in the UK courts. This work will give you invaluable first-hand exposure to legal proceedings across a range of courts and tribunals in England and Wales – not only high-profile criminal prosecutions and asset recovery proceedings, but also major commercial litigation and other civil claims, as well as judicial review proceedings and regulatory enforcement action.

As the legal fellow, you will benefit from the mentorship of a leading barrister as well as other support when drafting court applications or submissions and scoping potential opportunities for strategic litigation that could advance Spotlight’s advocacy objectives. Working closely with the Deputy Director, you will also engage with other top lawyers who serve on Spotlight’s strategic litigation advisory board. In the course of this work, you will help build our relationships with the legal sector as well as strengthen our relationships with law enforcement agencies, civil servants, journalists, and civil society partners, particularly in the Global South.

Drawing on your close monitoring of court cases and engagement with law enforcement agencies, legal practitioners and other experts, you will contribute evidence-based research, briefings, blogs and commentary on core areas of our work. This will require forensic attention to detail, strong quantitative and qualitative research skills, and a flair for communicating complex issues in a compelling and accessible way. 

You will be confident working with complex legal materials and following court proceedings while showing enthusiastic, creative and strategic engagement with the broader policy issues arising from our casework. You will feel comfortable drafting briefings to inform parliamentarians and influence decision-makers as well as contributing blogs and rapid-response social media commentary on key developments to advance Spotlight’s key messages.

The successful applicant must be London based in order to attend court hearings and regular team meetings. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Checking court lists, attending court hearings and writing accessible, high-quality monitoring notes

• Assisting with the drafting of applications and representations to the court on open justice issues including access to court documents and reporting restrictions orders

To assist in the delivery of a high-quality, widely respected and customer-influenced repairs and maintenance function by providing full project management support and customer liaison across the full range of Stoll’s property compliance and asset maintenance contracts and programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide input to the Corporate Plan and Team Plans through participation in Organisational, Departmental and Team Meetings.

Specific Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and implement the delivery of gas safety services to include annual gas safety checks to all dwellings and gaining access to inaccessible homes.
• Develop and maintain effective mechanisms to ensure all gas, LPG, oil, ASHP & renewables and solid fuel appliances are inspected annually.
• Maintain up-to-date and appropriate records for the proper management of the gas safety programme and all other property compliance programmes. This may include both paper and electronic records.
• Ensure that STOLL meet all statutory and HSE (Health and Safety Executive) requirements relating to all identified areas of property compliance including all elements of FLAGEL –   fire, legionella, asbestos, gas safety, electrical safety, and lifts.
• Work closely with the H&S Officer to ensure that work relating to fire safety is delivered appropriately and as required.
• Effectively manage appropriate facilities management and property compliance budgets and resources to ensure optimum service/programme levels are achieved.
• Process invoices and ensure contract payments are made in a timely fashion.
• Provide colleagues with itemised service charge estimates for tenants and leaseholders detailing the annual costs of servicing/maintenance/cyclical works.
• Ensure timely, accurate and relevant performance management information is available for review and can be produced for the property compliance function. Assist in monitoring performance targets to achieve continuous improvement.
• Assist with the preparation, administration and monitoring of facilities management and property compliance contracts and programmes. Prepare specifications and schedules and programmes of work. Issue works orders and monitor quantity, progress, and quality of works on site.
• Manage contractors daily across the full portfolio of facilities management and property compliance programmes, ensuring that contractors adhere to an agreed programme for each individual resident’s home and that collectively programmes are delivered on time.
• Ensure timely and accurate administration of all records relating to property compliance and facilities management. This will include input and record keeping and include supervision of contractors.
• Records must be maintained to a standard which ensures that all information in connection with servicing and testing programmes is readily retrievable when requested.
• Carry out site inspections of works in progress when required. Arrange and minute regular meetings with property compliance, facilities management and cyclical maintenance contractors either as specified in individual contracts, or on good practice grounds agreed with the Director of Property and Asset Management.

P4HE provides online and in-person workshops in philosophy, debating, acting, writing and more, for home and mainstream educated children from 6 to 18. It also runs regular residential weekends in Kettering.

Our ambitions

Hidden Leaders currently works with 20 schools across London and the South East (and dozens more in our other organisations above). Word is spreading about us and we are growing in size, and we anticipate delivering even more sessions in schools in the coming years. And so we are looking to expand our small, trusted expert group of freelance facilitators to help us deliver this impact.

• Choice: We have several set dates in schools each year, usually in Summer term and in late August into September - which you may be offered and can choose whether to take or not. We’re also looking to expand our work in the months in between. 

The Role

We’re looking for experienced, energetic and confident freelance facilitators to help us deliver our tried-and-tested activities — from team-building and orienteering to improv games, problem-solving challenges, debates, archery, and axe throwing. We don’t expect anyone to be experienced in all of these - every member of our team of freelancers has their own areas of expertise and choose to be deployed on particular activities that most suit their skills and experience.

You’ll be working with a diverse range of schools, from primary and prep schools, right through secondary to sixth forms, facilitating sessions to inspire teamwork, communication, resilience, and leadership.

You’ll always be working on a day under the guidance of one of our Founder Directors, Tom and Alex. 

Important to know

We are looking for freelancers who may be available for work and who fit our ethos, values and activities to whom we can offer as and when it comes in. 

We couldn’t do what we do without our core team of trusted freelancers. We look after those we work with by offering regular training and observation opportunities so they can expand their repertoire. 

However, joining our pool of freelancers will not involve a fixed contract of employment or a guarantee of regular work. Our existing freelancers work with us anywhere between 3 - 15 days per/year. Such work offers very useful supplementary income alongside other roles at other organisations (or their own) rather than a core income. Our busiest times of year are:

September — where we deliver team building/bonding days for new year groups

May, June and July — where we deliver similar days but usually as part of school activity weeks

We anticipate further growth at these times, and also are looking to expand our offer to more indoor/lower cost days in the Autumn/Spring term. And to deliver these we will need more staff!

Responsibilities

• Facilitate pre-designed Hidden Leaders sessions and activities in schools

• Engage and motivate participants, creating an inclusive and supportive environment

• Brief, instruct, and ensure safety during practical activities

• Encourage reflection and discussion to link activities to personal and team development

• Adapt delivery style to suit different audiences, group sizes, and abilities

• Take care of activity equipment and ensure activity areas are safe and ready to use

• Represent Hidden Leaders professionally in schools

• Adhere to our high delivery standards and health safety and our strict safeguarding obligations at all time
   

We need you to have…

• Significant experience facilitating group activities with young people (e.g. classroom teaching, team-building, outdoor education, public-speaking training, drama/improv, youth work)

• Confident communicator and able to deliver exceptionally engaging sessions to groups of up to 30 to all ages from KS2 to Sixth Form

• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable arriving at a school to help us set up at 8am, and be packing down with us afterwards

• A big sense of fun and joy in what you do - we don’t do dry

• The ability to relate to young people in a way that isn’t “teacherly” but at the same time firm and in-command

• Strong situational awareness and ability to manage group safety effectively

• Flexible, adaptable, and able to think on your feet to differentiate activities in the moment

• Willingness and ability to travel to different locations across the South East

A bonus if you have…

• (For outdoor education experts): Outdoor activity instruction qualifications (e.g., Archery GB Leader / Outdoor First Aid / Lowland Leader)

• Have any experience leading or co-leading events or expeditions and so be able to step into the shoes of Day Director if we need you to (and obviously be remunerated accordingly)

• Any experience running activities not listed above, but that you’d think schools would love as part of our Team Challenge days

• Are confident speaking in front of larger groups such as school assemblies or full year-group briefings

• Clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

• does not contain significant experience (4+ years) working with young people in an official role (e.g. teacher, youth-leader, outdoor educator)

From crafting emails that inspire people to take action, to brainstorming graphics that cut through the noise, to getting stuck into the behind-the-scenes-detail that gets a campaign out the door, you’ll be working hard, fast and learning everyday.

We don’t expect a Digital Campaigns Assistant to know everything about digital campaigning in a political space. But you’ll come with at least 1-2 years experience in digital roles or where you've used digital as a core discipline. 

Day-to-day you will:

• Craft punchy emails, petitions, event forms and action pages that move people to action

• Brainstorm beautiful posters, social media graphics and videos that cut through the noise

• Draft compelling and moving video scripts 

• Post powerful content and copy on social media, keeping our campaign channels active and inspiring

• Help develop and moderate our online supporter communities 

• Help us administrate and understand our campaigns and audiences better by getting your head into data entry, analysis, and research

• Create and build peer-to-peer text or phone banking campaigns, seeing them through end-to-end

• Build confidence in a variety of digital tools - like Action Network, Airtable, Favro, Slack, CallHub, GetThru and Front - to achieve maximum impact in campaigns

You'll also have an opportunity to learn more about campaigning as a craft at Small Axe across creative, production and organising. 

Occasionally that will mean getting stuck into helping to produce campaign events like petition hand-ins or creative stunts, conferences or film and photoshoots. You might build relationships with spokespeople and feed into campaign strategy.

Wildlife and Countryside Link is a coalition of 90 environmental charities. We are looking for a Policy Officer to help develop, advocate and win policy improvements for nature.

The Government has promised to halt the decline of nature by 2030 and to net zero by 2050, committing to decarbonising our energy systems as a core government mission. Such commitments have been made within the backdrop of a challenging economic environment. The next few years will be critical in securing nature based solutions as part of the drive to reach net zero and in developing our understanding of and engagement with private investment for nature’s recovery as these fledging funding streams evolve.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Policy Officer to convene environmental policy experts to agree bold shared policy positions. This role will focus on economic systems change, including innovative work on ways to drive private investment in nature; and on the role that nature must play in helping us to adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change. There will be lots of thinking, lots of writing, and lots of opportunities to shape shared campaigns with excellent opportunities to engage with and work alongside some of the leading experts in these policy areas. You will also play a key role in delivering those messages to key influencers in Government and in Parliament.

Rape Crisis South London is looking for a skilled and experienced professional who is passionate about improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people. 
 

This is an exciting opportunity to lead on the delivery of the South West London (SWL) Child Sexual Abuse Early Emotional Support Service for the CYP service. Working closely with the NHS and Schools you will manage a small specialist counselling team ensuring high-quality, trauma informed support for our young people who have experienced sexual violence. It is essential that you have a good working knowledge of Safeguarding legislation for children and adults, as well as child development. 
 

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and an ability to develop partnerships with schools, families, funders and other key stakeholders. You will hold a relevant professional qualification in counselling or psychotherapy and be registered with the BACP/UKCP or equivalent. You will have significant experience of working therapeutically with children and young people, ideally in the contexts of trauma or abuse. 
 

Responsible to the Clinical Lead for CYP you will also provide additional support in the management and allocation of referrals, as well as provide additional support and advice as required to the wider CYP Service.
