We are looking for a results-oriented, ambitious Head of Public Fundraising to lead an established team responsible for community, events, individual giving and legacy fundraising. This is a high growth area, and we have ringfenced an investment pot to further boost income.

In addition to leading a high-performing team, you will join Heads across the organisation to develop our next organisational strategy throughout 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to make your mark in an influential role, responsible for over half our income.

This is a full time, permanent role. We currently offer a hybrid-working model. This means you may usually work from your home or remote location, but are expected to attend meetings and pay for your own travel to the office in Borough, London when required. We are seeking  a highly motivated and experienced Philanthropy Manager with a passion for international development to join our growing team. Reporting to the Philanthropy Lead, you will lead the delivery of an effective stewardship programme, nurture long-term relationships with major donors and supporters, and help deliver a programme of high-quality events and engagement opportunities. Key Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and develop a strong pipeline of six-figure philanthropic opportunities (restricted and unrestricted), using research, prospect mapping and data-led insight.
• Design and deliver high-quality cultivation, solicitation and stewardship plans for major donors, including meetings, proposals, reports, events and tailored communications.
• Lead and contribute to the planning and delivery of a diverse programme of philanthropy events, including those hosted by high-profile individuals and Ambassadors.
• Support the development of new fundraising products that strengthen donor engagement, retention and long-term relationships.
• Work collaboratively across teams and working groups, contributing insight and expertise to shape fundraising strategy and identify new opportunities.
• Accurately manage donor relationships and performance through Salesforce, including recording communications, monitoring income against targets and reporting on progress.
• Act as an advocate for War Child, maintaining strong knowledge of our work and contributing to a culture that prioritises safeguarding and best practice.

Overview   

At Young Roots, we want to see a compassionate and welcoming society for young people seeking safety. We work alongside young refugees and asylum seekers in the UK, building trusted relationships, providing practical and emotional support and promoting young people’s rights and power.  

Our youth clubs and casework are transformative for young refugees, allowing young people who have fled danger, experienced traumatic journeys, and are often here alone to find community and connection, a space to be a young person, and access support to address a range of practical challenges they face. We also draw on our evidence from working every day with young refugees and asylum seekers to call for change to the laws and policies which are harming young people.  

About the role  

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner with both youth work and casework experience to make a meaningful difference to the lives of young people in the UK asylum system. You will support young people aged 18-25, including those age-assessed as 18+, living in contingency and dispersal accommodation, helping them access social, emotional and practical support as they navigate the asylum system. 

Working closely with Youth Welfare Caseworkers who hold more complex, long-term cases, you will provide early intervention and short-term casework support alongside consistent, relational youth work. You will also contribute to the ongoing monitoring, evaluation and reporting of the service, as required, helping to evidence impact and inform service development. 

This role is primarily based in Brent, where you will coordinate the delivery of the Ahlan youth club with another Youth Welfare Officer and contribute to regular outreach to young people living in local hotels. You will help plan and deliver group sessions, trips and activities, creating safe, engaging and empowering spaces for young people. You will act as a trusted point of contact, building strong relationships, offering one-to-one support, and accompanying, referring and signposting young people to appropriate services, while working closely with colleagues to ensure safeguarding and wellbeing are prioritised. 

You may also be required to support the delivery of our other Youth Welfare youth clubs in Croydon and King’s Cross, and some evening work may be required as part of the role. All work is delivered in line with Young Roots’ values, using a trauma-informed, asset-based and youth-led approach.

The Role
As LMS Coordinator, you’ll take ownership of the daily operation of our LMS and associated content. You’ll:

Purpose of the Role

The main purpose of the role is to carry out and assist in the administration and day to day running of the ESU’s educational programmes, communicating with internal and external stakeholders, and managing delivery staff to ensure collective goals and objectives are reached.

• Support with the smooth running and delivery of ESU Education’s domestic programmes.

We are seeking an experienced, community-minded Office Manager / Mentor to join us three days per week. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong organisational and systems-building skills with a genuine passion for helping young people grow.

You’ll ensure our office runs efficiently by maintaining and improving admin systems, supporting project delivery and strengthening our communication with partners, parents and governance structures. Events are a key opportunity to connect those living with the condition and to share what Breakthrough T1Doffers. 

With experience in delivering events, you may have worked for charities before in similar roles. Your role will be to oversee the planning and delivery of our community events, including on-the-day logistics in person and virtually. You will also develop post-event follow-up with participants and strategically evaluate our community events programme, working with the Community Partnerships and Events Lead. Voyage is seeking a part‑time, income‑focused and results‑driven Head of Fundraising and Strategic Partnerships to help secure long‑term, diversified investment for our youth leadership programmes, with a particular emphasis on trusts and foundations, business development and strategic partnerships in the CSR youth, heritage and environmental space.

We are therefore seeking an experience professional who has a great production understanding of the role fund raising plays in shaping applications and grants. We therefore seek someone who can equally sit across trusts and foundations, business development and partnership building and help Voyage move from “opportunity‑led” to strategic, long‑term income growth.

As our HyPE Manager you will set up, embed and lead the implementation of Voyage’s Horizons Youth Programme for the Environment, a pioneering employability, mentoring and wellbeing programme combining a weekly Job Club, renewable energy and green-skills training, construction pathways and embedded therapeutic support linked to employment opportunities delivered in partnership with Repowering London, New city College and Talking Quest. 

The postholder will oversee recruitment, delivery and progression impact and outcomes for young people (16–21) from New City College, PRUs, Youth Offending Teams, courts, social workers and local schools, ensuring they are supported into education, apprenticeships, training or work. We are currently exploring expansion possibilities for the long term unemployed, as an alternative to custody and for refugee communities. We seek someone who can help embed the programme in the community college and assist our plans to expand.

Our debating, public speaking and cultural exchange programmes aim to embed sustainable cultures of oracy in schools, and empower young people to engage with the world, to speak more confidently and to listen to and understand different points of view.  With the new Ofsted Framework and the Curriculum and Assessment Review confirming the importance of great oracy education, the need has never been greater for the ESU’s educational offers. 

Purpose of this role. 

This role is central to driving our work forward. You will play a key part in ensuring the next generation gains essential oracy skills by managing and delivering the sales of the English-Speaking Union’s educational products. These include our signature ‘Discover Your Voice’ student oracy workshops and our Teacher Oracy CPD sessions for schools and other educational settings in England and Wales, with potential to expand to international schools. 

You will lead the full sales process from start to finish. This includes generating leads, responding to enquiries, securing bookings and overseeing the delivery of workshops and training. You will be proactive, motivated and confident working with a high degree of initiative. Working closely with the Director of Education, you will help build an effective sales operation that ensures thousands of young people and teachers benefit from high-quality oracy opportunities. 

About the role and responsibilities 

We are looking for someone who can: 

• Own the lifecycle of sales of our education products, building positive relationships to ensure repeat business 

• Collaborate with the ESU Marketing Team and Director of Education to develop the messaging and assets needed to promote our offers 

• Respond to and follow-up on leads and warm conversations to move prospects through the sales pipeline

• Implement plans designed to generate leads of sales to schools (secondary and primary), Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs), and other partners

• Manage the delivery of the workshops by being point of contact for Lead Teachers, appointing freelance Oracy Leaders to deliver the work and providing communication, support and resources as necessary 

• Build the ESU network, connecting with teachers and MAT contacts to generate sales. This includes proactive outreach to new schools and MATs for new business, as well as working with existing clients.

• Use Salesforce to manage all programme delivery including tracking all account communication, reporting on sales pipelines including new business and renewals

• Devise the sales strategies and execute the plans to generate leads and interest from international schools 

• Collect data for monitoring (student surveys; case studies; teacher surveys) 

• Work with our pool of delivery staff (Oracy Leaders). This would include clear communications before and after workshop delivery, booking staff onto workshops, liaising with finance and HR when necessary.

Person Specification 

• Passionate about improving oracy skills in young people from all backgrounds 

• Experience managing end to end sales, especially to schools 

• Experience of hitting and even exceeding sales targetsExperience developing strong relationships across a range of stakeholders, including senior leaders and in schools

• Experience with CRM systems to manage and report on sales performance 

• Strong understanding of the education sector, schools and the realities of teaching 

• Strong organisation and prioritisation skills 

• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) 

• Excellent attention to detail and high standards 

• Proactive, independent worker able to work well alone and as part of a team 

• Flexible and adaptable to the needs of a scaling organisation

You’ll deliver a range of engaging financial education programmes to young people, adults, and professionals. Trainers love working with our participants and are the front line of our work; representing our exceptional programme quality in a variety of settings.

The role requires significant travel to locations across London and surrounding areas, to deliver face-to-face sessions to diverse learners. Occasional virtual sessions also need to be delivered. You’ll receive a TFL travel card, provided by Money Ready, to cover all travel costs.
