We are delighted to be partnering with BAUS in their search an Events Assistant, someone with experience working in events, a passion for event execution and a keenness to work within membership organisations. The Role

The Events Assistant will provide administrative and event delivery support to the Head of Events and the Events Coordinator in the planning and delivery of physical and virtual meetings, events and courses.

This role is hands on and varied and duties will include:

• Supporting the delivery of BAUS’s flagship Annual Meeting and a calendar of Specialist Section Meetings, Education Courses and virtual events.
• Maintaining accurate delegate and speaker databases, attendee lists and name badges.
• Assisting with event websites, mobile apps, social media and marketing campaigns.
• Liaising with venues, suppliers, exhibitors and delegates.
• Providing administrative support including processing payments, handling enquiries, and producing post event reports.
• Supporting set up, breakdown and onsite delivery of events (some travel and overnight stays will be required).

The Person

We are looking for a motivated and adaptable individual with strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and a collaborative approach. You should come to us with experience working in an events environment, or the completion of an Events Management course.

This promises to be an exciting and busy role so you will need to be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, and have the ability to multitask effectively demonstrating a high level of customer service skills.

Perhaps most importantly you should be enthusiastic, flexible and pro-active, be a genuine team player and able to work independently when required as well as collaboratively along with colleagues.

Parish of St Mary’s and St James, NW6 London

1. Introduction

The Parish of St Mary’s and St James, located in NW6, London, is seeking to appoint an experienced fundraising professional to develop a comprehensive fundraising strategy and bid-writing template to support essential large scale capital repair projects at both church buildings.

The appointed consultant will produce a clear, actionable, and sustainable fundraising plan that draws on multiple funding streams — including grants, partnerships, individual giving, digital fundraising, and community events — while ensuring both projects progress cohesively and without internal competition for resources.

2. Project Background

The parish comprises two Grade II listed churches, both of which are active places of worship and important community landmarks within West Hampstead and South Hampstead.

St Mary’s Church

St Mary’s is a Grade II listed building, constructed in 1856-1862, and currently listed on the Historic England “At Risk” Register. The church requires urgent repair works to its spire, estimated at £1.5 million, alongside further essential maintenance identified in the quinquennial inspection. As a historic and much-loved building, St Mary’s preservation is a key priority for the parish and local community.

St James Church

Built in 1887–8 and designed by A.W. Blomfield, St James Church is also Grade II listed. The large red-brick structure, with steeply pitched tiled roofs and Bath stone dressings, is a notable local landmark and the only listed building within the South Hampstead Conservation Area. Camden Council’s Conservation Area Appraisal describes it as “a very important part of the quality and character of the area.”

St James is recognised nationally as a model of how historic churches can be adapted for sustainable use. Reopened in 2014 as The Sherriff Centre, it combines traditional worship with a thriving community and social enterprise hub — including a Post Office, soft play centre, café, retail space, and event venue.

St James now faces essential capital repairs to its roof, guttering, and masonry, as identified by its quinquennial inspection.

Fundraising Objective

Although St Mary’s and St James are distinct buildings, the parish seeks a single, unified fundraising strategy that will enable both capital projects to move forward in tandem, sharing messaging and timelines to avoid competition for funding opportunities.

3. Scope of Work

The consultant will produce a detailed and actionable fundraising strategy and a skeleton bid-writing template to support the parish in delivering its capital repair objectives.

A. Fundraising Strategy

The strategy should cover five core fundraising areas, each with specific recommendations, timelines, and success measures:

1. Grant Applications to Trusts and Foundations
   • Identification of suitable capital funders, including National Lottery Heritage programmes and major charitable trusts.
2. Corporate Partnerships
   • Identification of potential local business partners with corporate social responsibility programmes.
3. Individual Giving
   • Recommendations for regular giving schemes, major donor cultivation, and legacy giving programmes.
4. Digital Fundraising
   • Plans for social media campaigns, crowdfunding, and email marketing.
   • Recommendations for digital platforms, messaging, and performance tracking.
5. Community Fundraising Events
   • Framework for community-focused events to engage local audiences and raise funds.

B. Skeleton Bid Template

An editable bid-writing template will be created to assist the parish with future applications. This will include:

• Core content sections (e.g., project summary, need, impact, budget, sustainability).
• Example text and guidance notes.
• Style and structure recommendations for clarity and professionalism.

4. Deliverables

• Comprehensive Fundraising Strategy Document covering both churches.
• Action Plan with timelines and priority recommendations.
• Skeleton Bid Template

5. Experience and Expertise

The appointed consultant should demonstrate:

• Proven success in fundraising for capital projects involving heritage buildings, ideally churches or places of worship.
• Experience in heritage and conservation funding, including the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
• Demonstrable ability to develop multi-strand fundraising strategies integrating grants, individuals, corporate, and community income.
• Excellent bid writing and stakeholder engagement skills.

Asylum Aid is seeking a solicitor and IAAS-accredited senior caseworker to join its Public Law team, with experience in immigration legal aid, judicial review, and asylum and human rights law. The role involves managing a complex caseload of asylum, trafficking, human rights, and public law claims, providing high-quality legal advice and representation, and conducting judicial review challenges in the Administrative Court and Upper Tribunal. The successful candidate will work closely with the Public Law Supervisor and the Director of Legal Casework to ensure that individual cases are handled effectively while also identifying systemic issues suitable for strategic litigation to achieve broader impact.

In addition to casework, the postholder will contribute to the strategic development of Asylum Aid’s public law work by supervising junior staff, providing training on judicial review procedures, and collaborating with colleagues on internal strategy discussions. They will also engage with external stakeholders and other sector organisations to represent Asylum Aid, contribute to policy discussions, and develop initiatives aimed at increasing the effectiveness of public law challenges. About this role

Over the past two years, SPANA has made significant investments in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL), culminating in the establishment of an independent MEAL team within the Global Programmes Directorate. Led by the Head of Data Insight and MEAL, this team works collaboratively with the Programme Quality and Development, Animal Health and Welfare and Education, Community Education and SBCC teams to strengthen evidence-based programming and impact measurement.

The MEAL Manager plays a central role in advancing SPANA’s MEAL systems, providing technical expertise and support to SPANA UK staff and over 20 global partners. The role contributes to the design and implementation of MEAL frameworks that effectively measure the organisation’s impact on the health and welfare of working animals. Contract, location and salary

The Head of Community will work with the Director of Services on strategic and operational planning and provide operational leadership for the range of Community services delivered by Age UK East London.

The purpose of this role is to:

• Take responsibility for the delivery of Age UK East London’s Community Service offer, ensuring its delivery requirements are met and we are responsive to new opportunities.
• Ensure that older people who are supported by the Community team also benefit from the range of AUKEL services and those provided by other local partners.
• Be an active member of our SLT, working with senior leaders across AUKEL, contributing your experience and expertise to problem solve, spot and develop opportunities as well as make an impact on our overall organisational development
journey.
• Build responsive and accountable relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including commissioners, partner providers, senior health and social care professionals.
• Motivate and inspire a frontline staff and volunteer team, using excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of key issues affecting older people.
• Ensure the services are meeting all KPI’s for quality and delivery, overseeing data management and analysis to ensure compliance and insight that supports future development and demonstration of impact, taking a continuous improvement
approach.
• Ensure service staffing and delivery arrangements are optimal, including by assessing which services need allocated staff and which would be better delivered by a central team.
• Ensuring processes and good practice is embedded in case recording, reporting and data collection.

Key Tasks

Coordination and Management of service

• Line manage service managers and coordinators, and oversee the good management of all service staff.
• Ensure services are delivered in line with contractual requirements
• Work with other senior managers, ensuring good joined up internal referral pathways, clear communication and joint-working where possible
• Ensure the team is fully conversant with the organisation’s CRM and that this is used effectively to record and manage casework and evidence of outcomes and impact of the service
• Ensure the team is knowledgeable about the local service offers and are effective in referring and signposting clients to other relevant services
• Complete and maintain relevant risk assessments.
• Ensure there is cover for gaps in service delivery (e.g. due to A/L or sickness).
• Support team members to supervise volunteers effectively
• Support implementation of any organisation-wide operational changes
• Regularly attend meetings with external professionals as necessary in relation to operational management and delivery of services 

Quality and Insight

• Produce quarterly KPI monitoring and evaluation reports for each contract as required to include data, case studies and insight on service delivery and opportunities
• Produce quarterly insight to the Board of Trustees at committee level
• Monitor compliance in record keeping around key areas
• Continuously review and monitor services with the aim of improving quality, flexibility, responsiveness and effectiveness, and to identify and respond to new opportunities

General

• Develop and nurture supportive and collaborative relationships with local community, voluntary and faith partners.
• Identify, explore and develop new opportunities that address the needs of local older people.
• Lead the development and delivery of current and future commissioned community services in AUKEL.
• Work with senior colleagues to conduct ongoing ‘horizon scanning’ of changes in national and local priorities and approaches to services, to maximise opportunities and identify upcoming challenges for older people
• Work with local partners to share best practice and develop opportunities to work together

• Develop strategic relationships in the local health and social care system, to gain insights and inroads to future opportunities and build service reputation and influence. 
• Continuously gain feedback from the team in considering how the service can develop further, for example around reach, client journey and other areas.
• Work with colleagues to develop new service proposals, to develop the scope and impact
of the Community team.

The Role: Global Data Officer
As Global Data Officer, you will play a key role in strengthening the availability and use of high-quality data for decision-making at PEAS. You’ll work across both our Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) and Data Development teams, combining strong technical skills in Python, SQL, and Excel with a passion for using data to drive impact. You’ll support teams to understand and interpret data, develop dashboards to unlock real-time insights, and coordinate research and evaluations that shape our programmes and improve outcomes for students.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of MEL workplans across all countries of operation.
• Guide the development and rollout of MEL tools and processes for data collection and analysis.
• Quality assure data analysis and conduct ad hoc special projects.
• Work with the Data Developer to roll out the PEAS Real Time Learning (RTL) tool and maintain data platforms.
• Develop and maintain Databricks pipelines for data extraction, loading, and transformation.
• Provide professional development support to MEL colleagues globally and coordinate MEL Global calls.
• Support external research, evaluations, and reporting commitments.

Who We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, sciences, or a related field.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with Python and SQL.
• Skills in data or statistical analysis, with the ability to create high-quality data visualisations.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a data role, or a graduate with a strong desire to move into data sciences.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a passion for using technical solutions to achieve PEAS’ mission.
• Experience in education programmes in low-resource settings (Uganda, Zambia, Ghana) is desirable but not essential.

We are looking for a talented Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records and handle financial operations in the charity.

Core duties include processing all routing transactions encompassing supplier invoices, sales invoices, bank transactions, petty cash, credit cards and treasury management. You will also make payments, prepare our in-house payroll and submit pension returns.
