We are looking for a commercially minded, inspiring Head of Retail to lead our charity’s retail function, a portfolio of 29 shops, a growing online operation with an ambitious plan to turn the retail success into real impact for older people.

This is a Senior Leadership role reporting to our Executive Director. You will set and deliver our retail strategy, grow income across high-street, out-of-town and superstore-style sites, develop our furniture and ecommerce operations, and lead a large, dedicated team of managers, drivers, maintenance staff and volunteers. What you’ll do

• Deliver and continuously develop our retail strategy, growing income and keeping the function commercially resilient and fit for the future.

• Identify and develop opportunities for growth — including new high-street, out-of-town and superstore-style sites — backed by evidenced business cases.

• Build our furniture retail strategy across the city, county and wider region, and grow ecommerce income across multiple online platforms such as eBay.

• Lead, coach and motivate your managers and teams, ensuring every shop is well presented with excellent customer service.

• Turn around underperforming shops and oversee income generators including Gift Aid, scratch cards and the Grand Raffle.

• Drive efficiency across the function, making smart use of technology and AI to support staff and volunteers.

What we’re looking for

• Strong retail experience at senior management level, with proven sales leadership and the ability to inspire others.

• Commercial and business awareness, with the ability to set and work to financial targets, budgets and plans.

• A track record of developing and delivering retail strategy and growing a retail estate, including new formats.

• Experience of identifying and turning around underperforming shops, and of managing performance.

• Experience of leading and developing both staff and volunteers, with excellent IT and communication skills.

You will be the first point of contact for households in crisis situations, responsible for triaging referrals,

Imagine Leeds is an innovative venue where people come together to plan and take action on climate, nature and social justice. It is part of the Climate Action Leeds Network, which was established in 2020.

Working collaboratively with colleagues, you will help shape advocacy and influencing strategies designed to drive legal and policy reform across the UK. 

You will oversee the planning, delivery and resourcing of JUSTICEʼs legal and policy work, ensuring strong project management, effective budget oversight and timely reporting on risks, progress and impact. As a Housing & Resettlement Worker, you will provide high-quality support to residents working towards independent living. Main Purpose Of Job:

This role is responsible for delivering a safe and supportive service to all residents living at our accommodation provision in Bicester. The role holder will lead on the case management of clients with low to medium support needs who are working towards living independently within twelve months. Working in partnership with other agencies the role holder will create holistic, individualised support plans, identifying and pro-actively working towards appropriate and timely move ons.

• To ensure the effective delivery of high quality care, resettlement support and housing management according to Homeless Oxfordshire policies and procedures.

The environment can at times be unpredictable, and properties may experience higher levels of wear and tear than typical residential settings. The ideal Maintenance Officer must be comfortable working in these environments and demonstrate patience, resilience, and a non-judgemental approach at all times.

These opportunities make the Marketing & Fundraising Manager position varied and interesting, with plenty of possibility to grow and develop in the role. 

Job Purpose:

The Marketing & Fundraising Manager will play a key role in developing and implementing St Hilda’s East’s marketing strategy and will take the lead in organising fundraising events and securing funds from individual donations, and rental and room hire income.

They will lead on communications with external stakeholders through the development and implementation of SHE’s marketing plans and social media strategy. There will be a particular focus on strengthening our unique link with the Guild (alumnae) of Cheltenham Ladies’ College, as well as with parents and pupils of the school – to raise awareness of the impact of St. Hilda’s East and to organise joint events. The postholder will work alongside freelance fundraisers who focus on maximising grant income.

It is not essential to have experience in the non-profit sector; we would love to hear from you if you have experience in sales and marketing in a commercial environment and are looking to bring your talents to the charity sector.
