About the role:

When a family member sustains a spinal cord injury it is a life changing experience for the whole family. They can feel very isolated and that no one understands what they’re going through.

Back Up’s Family Support Service is there to help. We enable a wide range of family members of all ages whose loved one is affected by spinal cord injury (SCI) to improve their wellbeing, build a support network and transform their lives through Back Up’s services. 

The Family Support Coordinator will assist in supporting family members on an individual basis as well as in group settings as appropriate, together with providing support in the process of identifying, recruiting and training new family support volunteers.

A Family Support Coordinator will be comfortable and efficient with data management and GDPR compliance.

Lived experience of having a relative with SCI is essential, together with sharing our commitment to transform the lives of everyone affected by spinal cord injury.

To deliver money and energy advice service for kidney patients struggling with their energy and water bills and other costs of living challenges. You will provide subject matter expert support within our Patient Support Services team, and will work closely with our Patient Support & Advocacy Officers to develop and grow this service in your area.

Summary
To raise awareness of the service and build strong relationships with kidney patients, professionals, and other kidney stakeholder groups in your defined geographic region.

Key responsibilities
• With support, establish the Kidney Care UK Money & Energy Advice Service in the region for patients and carers at risk of fuel poverty to access independent support on money and energy matters
• Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Money & Energy Advice Service across the region, effectively managing an ongoing caseload
• Provide practical advice to patients, assessing their needs and identifying sources of support to resolve financial, practical and psychosocial challenges.

• Activities will include creating budget plans, completing income maximisation checks and benefit claims, carrying out switching exercises and Home Energy Surveys (this is not an exclusive list of tasks)
• Responsible for identifying cases where FSA approved advice is required, and supporting patients in the referral of their case to our approved partner organisation or other appropriate regional/national services

• Act as a gateway to local information and access to:

• Kidney Care UK Patient Grants service, raising awareness of the service and supporting applications
• Kidney Care UK Patient Support & Advocacy Service, to ensure patients have access to reliable and accurate patient information relating to kidney disease, patient pathways, models of care, and patient choice
• Kidney Care UK Counselling Service and other appropriate services to meet patients’ emotional and physiological needs

About the role:

The role is home working, however the team collectively cover England and Wales, so the ability to travel with occasional overnight stays is vital.

As a Peer Support Volunteer Manager you will be:

• Responsible for development and management of a cohort of lived experience volunteers
• Triaging and Risk Assessing clients as they are referred into the service
• Facilitating Peer Support groups, both online and face-to-face

REUK carries out high-quality, rigorous and bold research into refugee education, and uses this research to influence the policies, systems and practices that enable young refugees to thrive in education. We have a track record of over 10 years of impactful, timely and relevant research that has influenced change in the refugee education sector in the UK and internationally.

This role will lead and manage REUK’s research and policy portfolio, ensuring that it maintains and develops REUK’s external position as a thought leader on refugee education practice and research. 

Over the year ahead we will be working on a range of commissioned research projects, both domestic and international, and building the evidence we ourselves know is needed as a result of our frontline work. You will lead these projects, whilst securing new work for the months and years ahead.

The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS), is the only patient-led organisation in the UK specialising in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). Due to its targeted focus on RA and JIA, NRAS provides truly expert and wide-ranging services to support, educate and campaign for people living with these complex autoimmune conditions, their families and the health professionals who treat them.

1. Main Purpose of Job

To drive referrals to and use of, NRAS services from NHS relationships across the UK.

Identify, build and maintain relationships with Rheumatology and other multidisciplinary teams to ensure relevant healthcare professionals are aware of the support that NRAS provides to people with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Adult Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis.

To work with those healthcare professionals to maximise uptake of their referrals to our services.

Attend events around the UK and online to promote NRAS Services.

Support the I&SD Director and other senior team leaders to design, develop and implement new services and to reach new audiences for existing services.

2. Business development & Strategy

2.1. Identify, develop, and secure new opportunities for NRAS services within the NHS.

2.2. Create and implement business/service development strategies to expand the service user base, and service offering within NHS Rheumatology departments and connected healthcare teams.

2.3. Analyse market trends, identify emerging opportunities, and stay ahead of industry developments to recommend strategies for further growth of NRAS services.

3. Relationship development and management around the UK

3.1. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and potential referrers or influencers and healthcare providers often travelling to attend clinic/location meetings.

3.2. Act as the primary point of contact for key referring organisations, ensuring referrer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for additional services or project work.

Qualifications: A-level or qualified by experience

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Blood Cancer UK research team following the recent launch of our ambitious new five-year research strategy which seeks to accelerate progress towards the day when no one dies from blood cancer or the side effects of its treatments. This post sits alongside two other research grants officers responsible for our clinical research and fellowships portfolios. 

You will be an integral part of the research funding team and will be responsible for a range of pre and post award grants management activities required for the effective administration of our discovery and translational research portfolio.

Expected travel for this role includes relevant meetings or conferences, team workshops, team/department away days and attendance at two all staff away days annually. The London office is open for use by all staff from Monday –Thursday 

The research funding team holds a routine anchor day in the office every Tuesday for all team members who are able to attend. Attendance at an anchor day at least once a month is expected for all members of the research funding team living outside London.

Key priorities for the role will include developing policy positions and recommendations in this fast-moving area of policy which will underpin all our campaigns and communications and developing and delivering a political engagement strategy to influence the new UK Government and parliamentarians.

The successful candidate will be passionate about ensuring that those with lived experience of seeking sanctuary and/or directly affected by the issues we campaign on, lead, and shape our policy positions and political campaigning.

This is a challenging and rewarding role for candidates with a good understanding of the challenges young people and refugees face on arrival to the UK.

We are looking for candidates with strong policy and public affairs skills, as detailed in the Person Specification. Experience in a similar role would be welcome, but this position will have a dedicated training budget, and you will be supported to grow and develop within your role.

Then join Shelter in this key role as New Partnerships Manager and help to deliver our Corporate Partnerships Fundraising strategy by securing high value, long-term support from the private sector to tackle the housing emergency.

About the role 

As New Partnerships Manager, your priority will be delivering new, high-value and long-term support from the private sector to help tackle the housing and homelessness emergency.

You’ll focus on securing five -and six-figure partnerships through excellent prospect stewardship and the creation of tailored pitches and proposals, ranging from ‘charity of the year’ to commercial policy-driven relationships. You'll do this while demonstrating huge drive and passion for Shelter’s cause.

We’re looking for a motivated individual to help drive income by securing multi-year, high-value corporate partnerships, with a focus on five and six-figure opportunities. You’ll proactively build and manage a pipeline of prospects, create compelling partnership proposals, and lead on the planning and delivery of strategic projects. Working closely with the New Partnerships Lead, you’ll support the development of team strategy, build strong internal and external relationships, and contribute to a high-performance culture that maximises support for Shelter.

About the team 

Led by the New Partnerships Lead, the team is responsible for contributing to the growth of Shelter’s voluntary income by securing new corporate relationships that support Shelter’s mission. The team is made up of one Lead, one Senior Manager, two Managers and one Executive. Together with the Partnership Management team, this forms Shelter’s Corporate Partnerships Team, within High Value Partnerships.

We are seeking a compassionate, visionary, and strategic Chief Executive Officer to lead Mermaids through the next stage of its evolution, dedicated to improving the lives of gender-diverse children and young people, and those who are important to them. Working closely with the Board of Trustees, you will oversee a small committed team, ensure robust financial management with the Chief Operating Officer, and lead fundraising efforts to secure a sustainable future. Service Delivery:
• Provide strategic and operational leadership across all service delivery areas, including support line services, group work,  advocacy, external communications, and policy.
• Ensure services are high quality, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of trans and gender-diverse children, young people and the special people in their lives.
• Lead the continuous improvement and development of service delivery models, ensuring impact, effectiveness, and alignment with the charity’s mission.

Finance & Fundraising:
• Working with the Chief Operating Officer and the Board of Trustees, ensure Mermaids has robust, deliverable fundraising 
and finance strategies in place, and subsequent action plans are embedded throughout the organisation to support their 
delivery.
• In partnership with the Chief Operating Officer, ensure Mermaids has robust finance, HR, IT, data privacy and governance processes and procedures are embedded.

People and Culture:
• Line manage senior staff including the COO and service delivery managers.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, inclusive internal culture that values lived experience and wellbeing.
• Continue work to embed a culture of equity, diversity and inclusion across the organisation, as well as a focus on accessibility.

Ivy Rock is supporting a renowned Higher Education institution to recruit a commercially minded Finance Business Partner. This role sits at the heart of financial decision-making across a diverse and commercially significant portfolio generating £40m+ income annually, working largely autonomously. An ideal role for a fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW, CIPFA) who thrives in a collaborative, stakeholder-facing environment.

You’ll be the strategic finance lead for the Catering, Retail and Accommodation functions, providing key financial insight, management reporting, forecasting, and budgetary support to both central estates and service departments. You’ll work closely with non-finance stakeholders to communicate complex financial data in an accessible and impactful way.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business partner with senior stakeholders across the Estates and Commercial Services teams, supporting an annual budget of c.£80m.
