As a key member of the Membership, Armed Forces and Community Engagement team, this role will contribute to the delivery of our new strategy leading a nationally-scaled, innovative youth approach, creating the conditions for our organisation to thrive for future generations.

Reporting into our new Director: Armed Forces Engagement, Partnerships and Youth, this exciting new role will see you identify and develop strategic, high-impact youth partnerships at a national level (including in the devolved nations) that help us reach more young people in new, exciting and innovative ways, advancing RBL’s vision of “Bringing Society Together to Recognise, Remember and Support the Armed Forces Community”.

You will lead the development, delivery and evolution of an RBL youth plan, highlighting the role of the RBL and positioning youth engagement as a long-term strategic enabler of our Armed Forces Community. This will include work across schools and youth organisations, with a particular emphasis on remembrance activities, and developing a Cadet Forces Engagement strategy.

Managing a small and newly created team, key responsibilities will include:

- Develop and implement a Cadet Forces engagement and partnership working strategy aimed at both cadets and CFAVs which seeks to raise awareness and understanding of the role of the armed forces community, promotes engagement in remembrance activities (including the wearing of the Poppy) and develops and understanding of the role of RBL
- lead the development and approval of the RBL Schools and Learning Strategy, fostering collaboration across departments to maximise engagement with school-age children
- Working with our current youth members, re-design and re-launch the youth membership, ensuring RBL has a relevant, engaging and attractive youth membership offer
- Demonstrate creativity, initiative and thought-leadership in planning, piloting and developing youth initiatives with partners
- Act as a champion for young people internally and externally to partners

About the role 

Reporting directly to the Sanctuary Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of our accommodation pathways, ensuring the best possible outcomes for destitute migrants and newly granted refugees. 

This is a dynamic, frontline casework role that spans three core areas of our housing provision: 

• The Hosting Project: Supporting people seeking sanctuary who have no recourse to public funds by giving them a welcoming, safe place to stay in the home of one of our volunteer hosts. 

• Refugee Lodgings: Helping to provide a safe and supported housing option for newly granted refugees at risk of homelessness by matching them with people who have a spare room. 

• Transitional Housing: Providing vital tenancy sustainment support for newly granted refugees transitioning into our shared accommodation properties. 

About you 

We are seeking a dedicated, highly organised, and empathetic professional with proven experience working directly with people experiencing homelessness, particularly asylum seekers and forced migrants. 

You will have a strong working knowledge of the housing system, the UK welfare system (including Universal Credit and Housing Benefit), and how to support people to access their entitlements. Because this role requires managing complex casework and navigating cultural nuances, you must possess strong interpersonal skills, particularly when working with vulnerable people or those with English as a second language.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and detail-oriented Senior CRM Support Officer to join our dedicated CRM team, supporting our internal database system (CHIP).

At Alzheimer’s Society, we believe no one should face dementia alone. Every conversation, every visit and every small moment of reassurance can make a real difference. We are looking for a warm, thoughtful and organised Dementia Adviser to join our supportive team in Solihull working 35 hours per week.

You will work closely with people living with dementia and those who care about them, providing ongoing support. You will listen carefully, understand what matters most to each person and offer guidance that helps them feel steadier and more confident as their situation changes.

Your days will be varied and meaningful. You might be visiting someone at home, offering calm reassurance over the phone, or working closely with other professionals to make sure the right support is in place. We operate a triage system for new referrals, and you will play your part in making sure people are responded to quickly and thoughtfully. You will manage your own caseload, keeping clear and accurate records, while always seeing the person behind the paperwork.

You will be part of a caring and dynamic local team who share ideas, reflect together and support one another. There will be time to meet as a team and opportunities to keep growing your knowledge of dementia, with your manager and colleagues alongside you.

A key part of the role will be translating complex scientific and medical research into clear, compelling and patient-friendly content. You will help increase awareness of clinical research opportunities, communicate emerging developments in PKD science, and support greater understanding of how research can shape future treatments and care. About the role
We are recruiting for a Strategic Content Lead to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week on a permanent contract. This is a home-based role, with occasional travel required for in-person team meetings and events.

As Strategic Content Lead, you will champion our strategic, organisation-wide approach to content. You’ll develop and lead a clear content strategy that aligns with our overall vision and content principles, ensuring everything we create is consistent, accessible and focused on delivering impact for our audiences.

You’ll continue to evolve how we deliver content, embedding modern content design practices, accessibility standards and new tools and technologies across digital, print and wider media channels. You’ll take a holistic view of content across the Society, driving a channel-neutral approach that brings together subject matter experts, marketing and communications teams, and channel owners.

In this role, you’ll also work collaboratively across teams to make sure content is well-governed, planned, created and used in the most effective way; reducing duplication, improving quality and ensuring it aligns to organisational priorities.

You’ll use insight, data and user research to develop a deep understanding of our audiences, from people affected by dementia to supporters, partners and volunteers. This will help you to continuously improve our content ensuring it is effective, easy to access and meets the needs of those we serve.

Interviews for this role have been provisionally scheduled to take place via MS Teams on Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th May.

About you
Joining us, you’ll have proven experience leading content strategy across a broad range of channels (e.g. web, social, email, print, media and broadcast). In addition to this, you’ll have a good understanding of how different channels work together within a joined-up content ecosystem.

Crucially, you’ll be able to use audience insight and user research to shape content, with experience setting and upholding content standards, including tone of voice and editorial guidelines.
