About Children Not Numbers
The conflict in Gaza has left thousands of children in urgent need of medical care, trauma support, and long-term assistance. Children Not Numbers is a grassroots UK-based charity committed to the health, safety, education, and wellbeing of Gaza’s children.
Children Not Numbers was established in early 2024 to address the urgent need to support Palestinian children caught up amid an unprecedented conflict. Within 18 months, we have grown rapidly into a global network of c.200 staff and volunteers, most of whom are volunteer paediatric medics representing more than 30 subspecialties.

About the opportunity:
Working closely with the Fundraising Manager and Head of Philanthropy you will support a range of fundraising activities, most predominantly through organising and coordinating fundraising events, such as half-marathons; lead annual fundraising campaigns; in addition to increasing individual giving to the charity through awareness raising and stewardship of regular and one-off donors. Duties and responsibilities
- Oversee the coordination and administration of annual sponsored fundraising events Action Tutoring engages with, such as the Hackney Half marathon and London 10K, including the promotion of events, onboarding of runners, campaign page creation, encouraging participants to raise funds, organising materials to be sent to runners (e.g. t-shirts) and tracking of fundraising targets.
- Increase our participation in sponsored fundraising events, in London and our regional hubs.

- Support the organisation and coordination of fundraising and key profile raising events, such as evening events, Action Tutoring anniversary celebrations or funder breakfasts, through sourcing suitable venues and overseeing logistics.
- Support with other key profile raising events, for example, oversee annual fundraising campaigns, such as the Big Give Christmas Challenge, source new campaign opportunities for Action Tutoring to engage and carry out initial enquiries to determine suitability to apply/engage with.

About the role:
This role is offered working from either Southampton Central Police Station. This role is offered as an office-based role.

Role Overview
Reporting to the Senior Technology Advisor, the Salesforce Administrator will play a crucial role in the successful implementation, development and ongoing support of the new Salesforce system and structure across our network.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and configure Salesforce, including workflows, Flows, fields, page layouts, record types, dashboards, and reports.

This is a new role for us here at Citizens Advice Southampton. We have no shortage of ideas to improve our service and sustainability, but we lack the time and skills to bring these ideas to fruition. This is the ‘gap’ that the Funding and Innovation manager will fill.

The post-holder will play a key role within the Initiatives and Partnerships team, working with regional teams to develop and implement proposals to expand use of historic churches in our existing estate and, on occasion, working with other heritage and community groups to deliver their own projects via consultancy or partnership work.
They will manage a programme of work that will include a number of site-specific projects and national initiatives across multiple sites, as well as from time to time working with third parties on partnership or consultancy projects.
The Commercial Initiatives Officer is responsible for the development and delivery of CCT’s commercial initiatives, including Champing and Filming, that involve multiple sites, as well as any future such schemes. The role will line manage the Customer Service and Admin Assistant, Champing who is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of Champing. The post-holder will also work closely with colleagues in conservation and regional teams to make sure that impacts on both areas are fully considered, whilst in tandem seeking to maximise opportunities to expand and increase commercial activity, income and ultimately profitability.

The Role
As a Generalist Adviser you’ll be part of our friendly advice team, helping people in Southampton navigate the challenges they face. You’ll provide high quality, generalist advice across a wide range of issues — including benefits, housing, debt, employment, energy, and more.We would also like the postholder to work towards becoming an immigration specialist.
You’ll play an important part in our work to support vulnerable people, including contributing directly to our immigration service where advice needs overlap with immigration-related issues.
You’ll be based in our central office and at community outreach locations across the city, ensuring our service is accessible to everyone who needs us. Advice will be delivered face-to-face, over the phone, and online.
This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check which will be applied for when the role is offered and accepted.

Drive and implement a strategy to maximise income from an agreed portfolio of high value funders and prospects with a Scottish interest.

Personally create, manage and develop relationships with new and existing trust and statutory donors and philanthropy donors leading to increased and sustained financial support.

Further develop a major donor pipeline - identifying connections, qualifying individual prospects and securing philanthropic donations.

Create, manage and develop relationships with statutory funding bodies to secure income for agreed priority projects in Scotland.

Work with stakeholders to understand future priorities, identify funding opportunities and work collaboratively to build and present multi year funding proposals.
What you’ll bring:

Experience of personally securing gifts from high value funders (5 and 6 figures)

Experience of cultivating relationships and making successful asks in a variety of ways, such as in writing, by email and face-to face

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with a wide range of people and establish credibility with both donors and colleagues

Experience of personally securing gifts from statutory and lottery funding sources or stewarding major grants/tenders
