We’re here for everyone who needs us. We protect children by working with people who pose a risk and diverting them from causing harm. We support individuals and families who have been affected by abuse. And we help professionals who work with families to create safer environments for children through delivering risk assessments, interventions, training and consultancy.

About the role and you

As Digital Innovation Officer, you’ll help deliver and grow Project Intercept, our deterrence programme with tech companies. We work with platforms such as Google, Meta and Aylo to create online interventions that deter harmful behaviour and guide people to confidential support through our Stop It Now service. Working closely with the Innovation Programme Lead, you’ll take charge of the technical running of our chatbot, track the impact of our online warnings, and help manage day to day work with global partners.

We’re looking for someone who’s confident with digital tools, curious about how systems work, and able to turn data into clear insight. You don’t need to be a developer, but you should be comfortable navigating platforms, problem-solving and learning as you go. If you thrive in a small, purpose-driven team and want to use digital innovation to help protect children, this role offers real impact and room to grow.

This post is funded externally and is therefore offered on a fixed-term contract for one year.

Background Information and Purpose of Post

You will oversee and strengthen our compliance with donor requirements, ensure our programmes are effectively supported to implement grants and consolidate our capacity to bid for and manage commercial contracts.

As a member of the HI UK Leadership Team, you will also play an important role in shaping the culture and direction of the organisation as a whole.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership and management

• Implement our ambitious plan for institutional relations, staying aligned with the organisation’s objectives and responding appropriately to the external environment.
• Contribute to the implementation of the network-wide institutional funding strategy.
• Lead, empower and motivate your team to achieve their goals, providing support as needed.
• Manage the team budget, including planning, phasing and forecasting in line with the organisation’s financial procedures.
• Participate as an active and constructive member of the Leadership Team, promoting a positive culture, modelling excellent behaviour and supporting cross-organisational initiatives.
• Provide timely and accurate reporting to the Chief Executive, trustees and Federation as required.

Institutional Relations

• Lead the team in ambitious engagement strategies for all donors in the portfolio, particularly the FCDO, Start Network, Australian DFAT and Irish Aid, strengthening existing relationships and, where appropriate, developing new ones.
• Ensure the team develops and maintains expertise on UK donor priorities, expectations and compliance requirements and is proactively analysing, interpreting and sharing this knowledge internally with relevant colleagues across the Federation.
• With your team, build the ability of our country programmes to engage with our donors locally and to comply with donor requirements, including through training.
• Oversee the process of identifying, analysing and sharing new funding opportunities with relevant colleagues, taking a lead when needed on coordinating large multi-country/framework bids to our donors.
• Maintain a network of contacts at other organisations and, working closely with operational and technical colleagues, build relationships with potential partners, including supporting the development of consortia for new bids when required.
• Contribute to building HI’s capacity to bid for and manage commercial contracts, including frameworks.
• Support the team with risk-based contract analysis and negotiation, due diligence and donor compliance.
• Ensure your team is delivering timely and high-quality reporting and grant/contract management, including follow-up of payment requests and tracking.
• Oversee the team’s information management tools and champion HI-wide internal processes and tools such as the CRM.
• Participate in the Bond Disability and Development Group, including supporting its influencing to promote greater emphasis on disability inclusion by the UK Government.
• Monitor and respond to threats and opportunities relating to the UK aid budget and aid policy, as well as for other donors in our portfolio where capacity allows.
• Support your team, the Chief Executive and technical colleagues to engage appropriately with other relevant networks in the UK to influence the UK government and raise HI’s profile (e.g. on specific crisis contexts, the impact of counter-terrorism legislation, health, education, humanitarian mine action, climate change etc.).
• Contribute to engaging with the Start Network and implementing our Start Network strategy.

Other duties

• Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with HI UK colleagues and the Federation’s institutional funding, operations and advocacy teams.
• Represent the organisation at relevant external events and meetings.

· Keep abreast of developments within the sector by liaising with counterparts in other NGOs and relevant networks.

• Keep up to date with any relevant changes in legislation, regulatory procedures, innovation, best practice and industry standards.

Multilateral and Economic Diplomacy Adviser

We’re looking for a Multilateral and Economic Diplomacy Adviser to bring strategic diplomacy and economic insight to our small but mighty advocacy team. This is a fixed-term role for 12-18 months, and we are open to secondments. This is a unique chance to work at the heart of global efforts to tackle air pollution and climate change.

In this role, you’ll help drive international action on clean air – shaping diplomatic strategies, building influential partnerships, and strengthening the economic case for bold, coordinated action. Our advocacy spans major global platforms including the UNFCCC COP and G20, as well as regional and mini-lateral diplomacy. It also includes working with governments, UN agencies, funders and civil society to deliver real‑world impact.

While expertise in both diplomacy and economics policy would be an advantage we are also interested to hear from candidates who are very strong in one of these areas. 

What You’ll Do

• Design and deliver diplomatic strategies for putting air pollution action on the agenda at multi-lateral, regional and mini-lateral fora.
• Manage engagement with governments and multilateral bodies
• Represent CAF at international forums and support senior leaders’ high‑level engagements.
• Manage grants, service contracts and research projects that inform policy and diplomacy.

Job Purpose
Lead and develop the charity’s HR and Volunteering functions (People) to foster a positive, engaging, and inclusive work environment, in line with the organisation’s values and EDI objectives

Key Tasks

Leadership

• Work with the People Sub-Committee (PSC) and SMT to develop and implement organisational people strategies and plans to support the delivery of our organisational strategy for older people.

Following a strategic review, War Child is now investing in a more structured, sustainable approach to philanthropy fundraising with two clearly defined strands: one focused on traditional major donor relationship management and pipeline growth, and a second dedicated to high-value events and experiences as a core driver of major donor engagement and income. This role has been created to lead the second strand.

While the Senior Philanthropy Manager’s primary focus will be generating income from a warm portfolio of major donors, they will also take strategic ownership of War Child’s high-value philanthropy events, shaping donor engagement rather than delivering events operationally. This is an autonomous, externally-facing role, unlocking influential networks and converting high-profile engagement into long-term philanthropic partnerships.

As Senior Philanthropy Manager, you will:

• Manage and develop a portfolio of donors and warm prospects capable of giving 6-figure gifts, including high-value donors currently sitting with senior leadership
• Take strategic ownership of War Child’s high-value events as a core driver of the major donor pipeline, shaping and strengthening this strand so it becomes a defined, sustainable part of the philanthropy programme

Family Action & the Role’s Impact: 

We are seeking a Peer Mentoring Coordinator to develop and manage our new LGBTQ+ Peer Mentoring Programme, training and supporting Project Indigo members to become mentors in the local community.

Project Indigo is the LGBTQ+ youth service based at Off Centre at Family Action. It is open to anyone aged 16-25 who identifies as LGBTQ+ or is exploring their sexuality or gender identity. Our weekly youth group is a safe, supportive space for LGBTQ+ young people to meet each other and participate in workshops and activities. In addition to the youth group, Project Indigo offers 1-to-1 support and advice sessions with the Project Lead. The group aims to support young people to build links with the local LGBTQ+ community, build meaningful relationships and get support around issues that are impacting them. Project Indigo maintains a youth-led and person-centred approach, with this role being developed in consultation with our members to support them in accessing training and support to do community-focused work. The Peer Mentoring Coordinator’s role will be to develop a new Peer Mentoring Programme, supporting older Project Indigo members to train as mentors and deliver mentoring sessions with younger LGBTQ+ people in the local community.

Off Centre is a service that provides a range of targeted mental health focused support services to young people aged 16 to 25 who reside/are registered with a City and Hackney GP. These include: individual, counselling and psychotherapy, individual and group art psychotherapy, key-work support, out of hours drop-in service on Thursday evenings; targeted provision for children and young people of African, Caribbean and mixed heritage (ACH); and an Information and Advice provision.

The role

As the Peer Mentoring Coordinator, you will develop and lead Project Indigo’s Peer Mentoring Programme. Central to the role will be understanding young mentors’ needs and goals, and providing high quality supervisory support throughout the training and mentoring process. You will further develop the Mentoring programme, consulting with relevant organisations, liaising with partners, and keeping accurate records to monitor progress for administrative and evaluative purposes.

The role:

The Policy and Public Affairs Lead for Devolved Nations will drive CoSRH’s engagement and policy work in Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. This key strategic liaison role will support the Director of External Affairs in enabling delivery of the CoSRH’s Hatfield Vision across all UK nations, and in supporting CoSRH members and interests in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

For this new role, we are seeking an experienced and forward-looking individual interested in developing the strategic and influencing work of CoSRH in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and in ensuring that CoSRH represents members and their interests across the UK.

The College of Sexual and Reproductive (CoSRH) is the leader in the field of sexual and reproductive healthcare, and we are the voice for professionals working in this area. As a multi-disciplinary professional membership organisation, we set clinical guidance and standards, provide training and lifelong education, and champion safe and effective sexual and reproductive healthcare across the life course for all. 

Key tasks:

 a. Stakeholder engagement:

• Lead CoSRH’s stakeholder engagement programme in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales - influencing policy debate, contributing to building internal capacity on devolved and regional issues, and in building key relationships.
• Collaborate with colleagues across CoSRH to develop and deliver a strategic programme of engagement across Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, ensuring that the work of member committees in devolved nations feeds into wider CoSRH activity, inclusive of the Hatfield Vision, and that the CoSRH President maintains appropriate oversight at Taskforce level. 
• Manage internal and external relationships with key individuals and organisations including parliamentarians, civil servants and policymakers in the devolved governments of Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales; staff and member representatives of sister organisations like British Association for Sexual Health and HIV  and Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, and nation-specific networks and collaborative groups such as Cross-Party Group for Women’s Health in Scotland, and Women’s Health Wales.
• Develop, deliver, and evaluate plans for specific areas of policy and stakeholder engagement work, including influencing decision-makers, building, and strengthening support among key regional and national stakeholders in the devolved nations.
• Working in collaboration with the Director of External Affairs and Chairs of the CoSRH Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland Committees, to represent CoSRH at a variety of conferences, meetings, and events across the three devolved nations.

b. Policy, Public Affairs & Partnership Building

• Monitor the external environment for issues that may impact on SRH, and help identify, analyse and grasp opportunities to influence policy and public opinion relevant to CoSRH’s work within the three devolved nations, outlining CoSRH’s position/response to policy and public opinion developments.
• Develop and oversee the effective monitoring of parliamentary activity in the devolved nations in relation to sexual and reproductive healthcare and related interests.
• Produce policy briefings for the organisation’s leadership including President, Officers and CEO as relevant.
• Advise on, assimilate evidence for and produce responses to external consultations issued by Government departments and other relevant agencies across the three devolved nations, consulting with members and drawing on relevant policy documents.
• Engage with CoSRH members, policy makers and the public across the three devolved nations including supporting the CoSRH Media and Communications Manager role where necessary, helping with media and social media output.

c. Committee support

• Work with the CoSRH External Affairs & Membership & Engagement Teams to provide secretariat support as required to CoSRH’s member committees in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
• As required, work with the CoSRH External Affairs & Membership & Engagement Teams as well as devolved nation chairs to develop and implement meetings and their agendas, record actions and discuss strategic approaches to the delivery of actions with relevant leaders.

Responsibilities: 

You are principally responsible for supporting the delivery of a year-round programme of high quality, empowering training and development opportunities for our members. This includes but is not limited to training to support members with skills in creating and prioritising activity plans, project management, how to apply for grants and funding (including our own grants funds), how to prepare for an accreditation meeting, designing good outcomes and demonstrating organisational impact (including impact reports and use of social media), community engagement, volunteer recruitment, and co-production techniques. 

• Work with the Training & Development Co-ordinator to ensure your own understanding of these topics is current and identifying areas for personal development to support our training offer to be more robust. 

• Work with colleagues in other teams to set up, administer and deliver (largely online) webinars, networking and showcase events, setting them up, researching and engaging speakers and collating case studies to use, sending invites, facilitating the presenters and discussion during the event, and collating and reporting on feedback to inform future sessions. 

• Support the T&D Co-ordinator, colleagues in the regional support team, and communications team, to promote training and networking sessions effectively. 

• Where directed ensure we maintain high-quality training partnerships and opportunities that members can be signposted to and be responsible for administering our bursary scheme.

• Regularly report on bursary expenditure, member feedback, attendance figures and any specific funder requirements. 

• Be responsible for supporting member organisations and colleagues to use our impact reporting platform and to keep up to date on any changes in how we record and demonstrate the social, economic and environmental impact of community rail. 

• Attend team and all staff meetings, online and in person, contributing to strategic shared areas of work, information sharing and workforce development activities. 

Skills and competencies: 

1. Understanding, and experience of running, online and in person training and networking sessions, ideally within a community or not-for-profit context; 
2. Knowledge of, and ability to share effectively, key skill areas for example, volunteering recruitment and support, project management, applying for funding, co-production techniques, community engagement best practice, demonstrating outcomes and impact. 
3. A proven ability to work collaboratively, develop and maintain productive partnerships and joint activities, and form professional networks internally and externally; 
4. Demonstrable ability to manage time and resources effectively under pressure, and meet deadlines; 
5. Excellent writing, communication and presentational skills, including the ability to develop and deliver audience-appropriate training materials, presentations and other content to professional and community audiences; 
6. IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, the internet and social media; excellent administration skills and the ability to identify efficient and secure ways of working using AI; 
7. Awareness of social and sustainability issues and the relationship between transport and social and economic development.

Other information

This post is home-based, but with some travel (including overnight stays) for our programme of events and meetings. Applicants will need local access to a train station to enable rail-based travel for work as needed.

Flying Cars Innovation is looking for a hands-on digital fundraising expert to help create, test and pilot bold new fundraising propositions for charities.

This is not a traditional digital fundraising role. You won’t be spending your time endlessly optimising existing campaigns. Instead, you’ll use your digital expertise to help bring new fundraising ideas to life, starting with early audience insight, moving through idea generation and smoke testing, and then helping clients pilot new propositions capable of generating £1m+ in income.

You might be a digital fundraiser, paid social lead or acquisition specialist who has often thought:
“This campaign isn’t going to fly. It would work so much better if we launched a new product instead, and I have some great ideas.”

In this role, you’ll:

• Co-create new fundraising propositions with audiences

• Prototype new innovations, via qualitative testing, quantitative testing and in-market testing

• Use digital signals and performance data to judge whether ideas will scale

• Build decks, write copy and run smoke tests

• Deliver workshops and training with charity clients

• Work closely with a small, supportive team of innovation specialists

This role suits someone who wants to build new fundraising propositions, not just optimise existing ones.

You don’t need formal innovation experience. We’ll teach you our methods. You do need strong digital fundraising delivery experience, curiosity, ideas, and confidence working with people.

This is a collaborative, fast-paced, client-facing role where your thinking and delivery will directly shape some of the UK’s most exciting new fundraising propositions.
