You hold a critical and integral role for the growth and development of the DEC’s website and digital marketing, taking an audience and insight led approach to innovation and supporter engagement. The role builds on various workstreams, projects and innovation processes that have been developed in recent years.
You will be digitally astute with expertise in paid media and digital product development, and a confident communicator, who project manages with ease and leads and engages with diverse internal & external stakeholders to develop an effective, responsive and agile approach to fundraising and supporter engagement in the digital environment. You must have demonstrable knowledge of UX principles and tools, a working knowledge of Drupal (or equivalent CMS), HTML and CSS, and excellent knowledge of digital analytics, particularly Google Analytics and social platform analytics.
Key Responsibilities for this role, include:
Website Management: Act as Product Owner, oversee roadmap, UX testing, security, hosting, and SEO.
Digital Fundraising: Manage paid search, social media, programmatic advertising, and evergreen campaigns; optimise performance and ROI.
Innovation & Strategy: Develop new digital tools, lead AI strategy group, drive product development from ideation to MVP, and foster a culture of innovation.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate across teams, manage external agencies, and lead digital collaboration with member charities.
Financial & Risk Management: Oversee £100k+ budgets, ensure compliance, report on performance, and mitigate digital risks.
Digital & Innovation Strategy and ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards, maintaining best practices in equality and accessibility. Design and deliver programmes that build awareness and capability around inclusive behaviours.
Data & trends: Monitor, analyse, and report on D&I metrics to measure progress and inform future actions. Stay ahead of trends, lead new initiatives, and represent the organisation in external forums to promote our commitment to inclusion.

This maternity cover role offers the opportunity to work in close partnership with the Chief Executive, supporting effective leadership and strong governance at Single Homeless Project. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Cure Parkinson’s philanthropy team until June 2027. In this role you will provide excellent personalised support to our ambitious Development Board, a group of eight well connected individuals using their networks to accelerate Cure Parkinson’s income generation, and be an integral part of the team delivering two special philanthropy events.
Cure Parkinson’s Gala 2027: Our last gala event ‘An Evening at the Roundhouse’, in October 2024, raised over £500,000. The evening was hosted by Edith Bowman and Simon Mayo and included performances from Emeli Sandé and Peter Andre.
Grand Cru.saders Banquet: The Grand Cru.saders are a new group of philanthropic wine enthusiasts with a mission, set up by our Development Board. To join each member pledges a case from their cellar to be auctioned in support of Cure Parkinson’s at an annual dinner. Their inaugural event took place in September 2025 and raised over £160,000.
Over the next 18 months we plan to build on the success of these events, delivering the second Grand Cru.saders Banquet in September 2026 and a gala in Spring 2027. As Major Gifts and Philanthropy Events Officer you would be a vital part of the team making this happen.
Everything we do is to move us closer to our goal, of finding new treatments to slow, stop or reverse the progression of Parkinson’s.

This key role will focus on working with prospects and donors with the motivation and capacity to invest in Maggie’s growth and will prioritise transformational gifts which can support our accelerated growth. This is a hands-on, people-facing role for someone who takes pride in creating spaces that really work. About the role
Since 2010 Positive Money has been raising awareness of the power, injustices, and impacts of our broken money and banking system - from inequality to climate change and unaffordable housing - and campaigning for and winning reform. Building and mobilising our supporter network with digital campaigns and donations is a central part of our strategy.
Reporting to our Head of Campaigns and Communications, this new role will grow, diversify, mobilise, and empower Positive Money’s supporter community, and build our individual giving programme, in order to achieve lasting systemic change. Regular donation drives, reactive petitions, viral videos, crowd-funded newspaper adverts, protests outside the Bank of England, hard-hitting emails that drive people to action - our toolbox is always growing and our willingness to experiment is strong. Our team is small but ambitious and we often work in coalition and collaboration with other organisations in the new economy movement. With an e-mailing list of over 20,000, and a following of ~150,000 across social channels, this is an exciting time to join the Positive Money team and take our campaigns and individual giving work to the next level.
About you
This is an opportunity for an individual giving fundraiser and campaigner with experience running individual giving programmes and creating donation journeys, alongside experience and/or interest in running digital actions to mobilise the public with people-powered campaigns that have impact. Strategy

Develop and implement Positive Money’s individual supporter fundraising strategy, as part of the campaigns strategy

Support the development and implementation of Positive Money’s wider campaign programme strategy and communication strategy
Delivery
Individual Giving:

Develop and lead Positive Money’s supporter engagement and individual giving work

Manage all one off and monthly donations through various giving platforms, monitoring donor activity and working closely with the Finance team to ensure all Individual Income is identified and processed accurately

Campaigns:

Enact Positive Money’s people-powered campaigns for economic systems change by delivering public-facing campaign outputs including digital actions, mobilisation emails, and organising in-person actions and events where appropriate

Maintain a general (non-expert) understanding of Positive Money key campaigns, proposals and messages, and translate them into accessible and engaging reactive and proactive content for social media

Create videos; drafting scripts, filming and editing independently, internally with other team members, or by supervising external producers

Interact with and respond to audiences and donors across social platforms, email, and be the main point of contact and support for Positive Money’s 5 local groups

Amplify organisations and individuals with lived experience of oppression and those who are disproportionately negatively impacted by the economic system

We want to create a world filled with wildlife, and we do this through pioneering community engagement and Rewilding Our Future. For us, rewilding is about rewilding people as well as rewilding nature, reconnecting communities to the natural world and restoring functional ecosystems through habitat restoration and species reintroductions.
From our work to reintroduce beavers to London for the first time in 400 years, to restoring river catchments with water voles, we focus on interventions that create real ecological change on the ground. We support landscape-scale recovery too, from bringing back iconic species such as white storks and working on wider habitat restoration across East Anglia.
The need
To grow Citizen Zoo sustainably, we need to grow our secure unrestricted income. Our monthly, direct debit membership currently brings in around £10k per year, and we’re aiming to grow this towards £60K per year within the first 12 months (or 1,000 equivalent members), through improved digital acquisition, better retention, and a strong on-the-ground recruitment presence across London.

You are an adaptable, entrepreneurial fundraiser/marketer who loves turning public interest into long-term support. You are equally comfortable improving a digital join journey and writing supporter comms, and getting out in the field, setting up a stand at events, speaking to the public and signing people up to monthly direct debits. You thrive working independently, you’re confident working to targets, and you use data to learn fast and improve performance. You’re motivated by building something that compounds: a membership base that grows every month and funds rewilding for years to come.
The Team & The Role
We’re a not-for-profit social enterprise with a team who mostly work from home in London. You’ll work as part of this remote team from home, our shared desk spaces in central London, and out on the ground at events, partner venues and project sites across the city and beyond. You’ll work closely with delivery and communications colleagues to turn audiences (visitors, volunteers, event attendees, online supporters) into loyal members, and ensure members receive a positive, joined-up experience that retains them long term.
What you’ll do
You will own and deliver a data-led membership growth plan that increases acquisition, improves retention, and grows member value (including upgrades from £3 → £5/month over time). You’ll sharpen Citizen Zoo’s membership proposition so it clearly connects supporters to our impact, and you’ll turn that into campaigns and activity that consistently convert interest into monthly direct debits.
Digitally, you’ll create and optimise the online join journey (landing pages, forms and messaging) and run recruitment activity across email and social. You’ll work with agency partners to plan and launch Meta and/or Google campaigns, shape and iterate creative, manage a monthly marketing budget, and improve cost-per-join and conversion rates through ongoing performance monitoring.
For retention, you’ll build joined-up supporter journeys from welcome/onboarding through impact updates, renewal/retention thorough engagement and exclusive membership offerings, upgrade prompts and lapsed reactivation. You’ll use segmentation and insight to keep communications relevant, strengthen the member experience, and reduce churn.
On the ground, you’ll lead in-person recruitment across Greater London at events, fairs, community days and partner sites, setting up an effective stand, engaging the public, and signing people up to direct debit. You’ll keep improving the recruitment “kit” (scripts, FAQs, signage, QR codes and follow-up journeys) and coordinate volunteer/colleague support when needed.
Ideal candidates will also focus on lifetime value (LTV) of supporting members and as such be able to work towards an appropriate cost-per-acquisition target (CPA).
Minimum requirements
- Full UK driving licence (hard requirement), candidates will not be considered without one (please ensure you list this on your CV).
- Demonstrable experience growing income or supporters through membership, regular giving, direct marketing, subscriptions, fundraising, or performance marketing.
- Experience delivering campaigns across digital channels (email/social), and using data/insight to improve results.
- Confidence in communicating with the public, including proactively starting conversations and handling objections.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams independently.
- Willingness to travel across Greater London and work occasional evenings/weekends (time off in lieu provided).
Preferred requirements
- Experience managing a membership scheme (acquisition + retention) with clear performance targets.
- Experience using a CRM or ticketing/membership platform (e.g., Hubspot, Salesforce, Spektrix, Tessitura or similar).
- Experience running or supporting face-to-face fundraising/membership recruitment at events.
- Experience managing external suppliers (design/print/digital) and working with paid social agencies.
- Understanding of GDPR-consistent supporter communications and supporter care best practice.
Success measures (first year)
In your first 12 months, success will look like building a repeatable membership growth engine that consistently brings in new direct debits through a combination of digital campaigns and in-person recruitment, while improving retention so income compounds over time.
You will be expected to help grow membership income from around £10k/year towards £60K/year, supported by clear monthly targets, a functioning reporting dashboard, and evidence-based optimisation of messaging, channels, and supporter journeys. You’ll also put in place a retention programme that reduces churn and increases lifetime value, so membership becomes a reliable, scalable source of unrestricted funding for Citizen Zoo’s rewilding work.
Working Hours
At Citizen Zoo we have standard working hours from 09:00–17:30, but team members can start earlier or later if agreed with your line manager. This role will require occasional evening and weekend work, particularly around events and recruitment opportunities, and this is given back as time off in lieu.
Location
Must be able to travel regularly across all of London, and across other parts of Greater London, to deliver events and recruitment activity.

- Financial Management: Oversee daily operations of the finance function, ensuring accurate month-end processes, preparation of management accounts, maintenance of the Xero accounting system, and strong financial controls and procedures.
- Team Leadership and Oversight: Manage and support the Business Administration and Finance Officer, reviewing reconciliations and ensuring effective financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, cash flow, and corporate cards.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Lead monthly and quarterly financial forecasting and support the Director of Finance and Operations in developing and monitoring the annual budget.
- Financial Processing: Ensure all transactions are supported with appropriate documentation, manage income recording with the philanthropy team, and oversee gift aid submissions.
- Payroll and Pensions: Process monthly payroll and pension contributions through Xero, manage HMRC obligations, and ensure staff expense claims are handled accurately and timely.
- Compliance and Governance: Prepare statutory returns for the Charity Commission and Companies House, ensuring compliance with all financial and legal reporting requirements.

Essential Experience, Knowledge and Competencies:
