We need you to support the Senior Manager to develop the health marketing strategy, plan and budget to achieve the relevant objectives and targets as agreed with Policy, Information and Communications (PI&C) and Marketing Fundraising and Engagement (MFE) and manage the delivery of the health marketing plan.

What will I be doing?

• Supporting the Senior Manager to translate the Marketing Fundraising & Engagement (MFE) / Policy Information and Communications (PI&C) operating plans and budget into a health marketing plan and budget

• Managing the development and delivery of cross-channel integrated briefs

• Managing the content and creative production, testing and optimisation process, ensuring campaign assets are fully aligned with Brand messaging

• Managing the approval process ensuring all health content is evidence based and in line with PI&C messaging frameworks

• Working in partnership with local and national external stakeholders on campaigns, maintaining strong relationships to ensure success of joint marketing activity

• Managing the pre-launch user testing process and overseeing the implementation of campaign optimisation initiatives

• Managing the planning, set-up, delivery and analysis of integrated multi-channel campaigns that meet and exceed specific product KPIs

• Working alongside the Senior Manager to motivate the Senior Executives and matrix manage specialist Digital Marketing & Delivery teams to deliver activity across channels

• Working with digital and data experts from across marketing and the wider organisation to improve communications and better engage our audiences

• Managing the implementation of cross-organisational strategic projects that support the wider aims of Cancer Research UK's marketing function.

• Managing the continuous testing and analysis of campaigns, spotting opportunities to optimise ongoing activity and make recommendations to improve the effectiveness of future campaigns.

What skills will I need?

• Significant experience of translating marketing strategy into tactical delivery plans by channel, audience and budget

• Significant experience of planning and delivering multi-channel campaigns that meet campaign KPIs

• Strong understanding of end-to-end consumer journeys and the role of different channels in fully integrated campaigns

• Relevant experience of managing and motivating agencies to drive maximum value from relationships

• Commercially aware with relevant budget management experience

• Data-driven with a strong understanding of UX principles and relevant experience of interpreting results and recommending opportunities for optimisation

• Proven ability to develop positive working relationships and influence others at all levels

• Relevant experience of developing highly effective campaign assets for use across channels

• Excellent project management skills including resource and risk management.

Community Organising

Through our theory of social change, called community organising, we train thousands of everyday people to lead change in their communities, equipping them with the skills to hold politicians and other powerholders to account. Our members include schools, universities, faith groups, parents’ groups, health practices, charities, trade unions and other civil society organisations.

At Citizens UK, our organisers and project staff work within communities to develop leaders, strengthen organisations, campaign for change and organise across difference. There are various project roles and operational, communication, finance and HR roles that support the organisation and project staff and organisers to deliver on this mission and work. Main Responsibilities 

A Senior Organiser is mastering the craft of community organising and taking increasing responsibility for developing major campaigns, managing budgets and managing staff. They operate with a high degree of independence and are significant contributors to CUK-wide functions such as training.  Senior Organisers model the broad-based community organising methodology in their work including the building of relational power, the recruitment and retention of dues-paying institutions, the development of leaders, the strengthening of member institutions, leader-led public actions, and the winning of systemic change. 

You will bring communities together to drive change both locally, regionally, and nationally. This role will work closely with local civic institutions, such as churches, mosques, schools, universities, unions and other community groups to: 

• develop the leadership of people within those organisations - our 'leaders' who lead the campaigns we work on 

• help them identify the changes they want to see and create strategies to win those changes 

• strengthen institutions’ own abilities to achieve their missions. 

This includes listening to members of the community to find common issues, engaging local decision-makers through meetings, and planning in-person ‘actions’, where you might hold those in power to account. All of this work is underpinned by the knowledge that everyday people have the ability to shape the world around them. This work will be rooted locally, but you will be a part of a bigger national drive to make change alongside diverse local alliances across the UK. In Essex, the work is currently focusing on the first Mayoral Election for the County but you will also work on other campaign priorities that are developed through the institutions you work with. 

Working as a Senior Organiser for Citizens UK, reporting to Regional Supervisor for the South of England, your main responsibilities will include: 

Build relational power to further the goals of CUK 

• Develop a comprehensive power analysis for Essex, particularly as the County will elect its first Mayor in May 2026  

• Develop and grow strong working relationships with power players at a county-wide level or sector, including journalists; taking the initiative to establish new relationships as required 

• Conduct one-to-one relational meetings in order to develop relationships with leaders; demonstrating timely and effective agitation to stimulate action 

• Work effectively with local journalists and media outlets to further CUK’s goals 

• Develop a strategic plan to enhance people’s participation in public life as well as enhance non-partisan political and democratic practices across Essex. 

• Develop a strategy built on an acute sense of how communities and institutions behave within, and across, the cultures and contexts of Essex.  

• Develop a plan that enables clear and impactful cross-institutional collaboration across Essex.

• Facilitate Issues Workshops and Delegates Assemblies and, in March 2026, a Mayoral Accountability Assembly 

• Develop strategies for significant impact; with comprehensive plans & tactics  

• Support actions, ensuring publicity, and facilitating high level negotiations  

• Evaluate the effectiveness of actions; demonstrating ability to incorporate lessons learned into future actions 

Contribute to CUK’s financial viability through effective fundraising & financial management  

• Recruit new dues paying institutions; negotiating annual membership dues and letters of understanding as required 

• Recruit and work with large organisations; ensuring that they invest into the alliance and not solely internal delivery  

• Contribute to fundraising by securing £75k-£90k per annum overall, at least half of which should be ‘hard money’ from retention and recruitment of member institutions and strategic partners.

Our Organisers and some project teams work closely with our member institutions and will be expected to attend member events that take place in the evenings and occasional weekends. We operate a Time Off in Lieu approach and have very flexible working arrangements to ensure a good work-life balance.

This is a new role at Befriending Networks, as we seek someone who is up for the challenge of fundraising to support the continuation of our work in supporting the network of befriending organisations and ensuring that meaningful social connection is available to all.

THE ROLE 

The Development Manager will proactively develop programme ideas into winnable proposals and progress income from institutional donors as well as trusts and foundations. Westway Trust is seeking an enthusiastic part time Gardener who will take immense pride in the maintenance and development of the grounds and gardens across the Trust's 23 acres of land. You will be an effective, efficient and safety conscious gardener who ultimately will ensure the Trust's grounds and gardens and green spaces are always kept healthy and beautiful. This role will be critical to ensuring management of a vibrant, diverse and thriving estate.

Key responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:

• Gardening duties will include: Planting, monitoring the health of all plants and green spaces, watering and feeding plants, pruning trees and shrubs, fertilising and mowing lawns, weeding, dealing with pests and diseases, and keeping green spaces and walkways clean and clear of debris and litter / waste. 
• Working as part of the Grounds and Gardens team to maintain and improve soft and hard landscaping on Trust land as directed.
• Assisting in keeping Westway Trust’s land clean and tidy and reporting any damage.
• Co-operating with the Facilities Team, Events Team and other Westway Staff to deliver support to events as part of the wider organisation.
• Welcoming volunteers and community groups onto the estate to learn from the Grounds and Gardens team.
• Ensuring all relevant Health and Safety standards are adhered to with regards to personal safety, and the safety of members of the public using the gardens.

The Role

The purpose of the Project and Policy Officer role is to:

• Provide vital project management support to substantial and often fast-paced projects that National Voices runs across its whole organisation including the policy and external affairs team and the evidence and improvement team
• Assist senior members of the policy team to develop policy projects and outputs which support the adoption and spread of equitable and person-centred health and care services.
• Work with voluntary sector organisations and people with the greatest health and care needs to ensure they are engaged in National Voices’ work

Responsibilities

Project organisation and administrative

· Support and coordinate the project management of significant projects, across the whole organisation including the policy and external affairs team and the evidence and improvement team. 

· Maintain records of activity, finances and minutes etc as required.

· Lead on collating evidence of activity and its impact to support evaluation.  

· Support the planning and facilitation of online and in person events such as working days and webinars.

· Support stakeholder management, particularly via email and diary management using electronic systems.

· Maintain lists of stakeholders and contacts to aid dissemination and networking.

Insight, engagement and communication

· Work with voluntary sector organisations and people with the greatest health needs in the coordination and support of workshops, focus groups and in-depth interviews.

Our approach to hybrid working

We recognise the importance of coming together regularly, in-person, as a team, so we can share learnings and spend social time with each other. We also recognise that people need flexibility, and that homeworking enables focused work and can fit well in people’s lives.

We ask all staff to take part in pre-arranged team meetings which take place every six weeks in our office space. We also might ask you to meet in-person with members of your team from time to time, or to be available for face-to-face meetings with clients and partners where this enhances the work.

We assume that this would usually not amount to more than one day per fortnight for people who work full time.
