Job Summary

The Philanthropy Manager will develop a philanthropy strategy, building on the partnerships and resources already in place. You will develop a pipeline backed up by robust prospect research (some administrative assistance will be provided), and instigate a cultivation and stewardship programme, typically adopting a staged approach to major asks.

You will be accountable for the acquisition, development, and stewardship of high value supporters for CUF, both individual philanthropists and non-statutory grant-making bodies. You will develop and strengthen relationships with existing donors, as well as identifying warm prospects currently not supporting CUF financially. A key part of your role will be meeting and engaging major donor prospects to grow the pool.

You will engage with Trustees and senior leaders, to identify and nurture Christian philanthropists and grant body decision-makers within their spheres of influence.

You will lead on developing cases for support and writing grant applications, helped by the wider staff team.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with high levels of motivation, and the ability to both develop and operationalise strategy as a member of a small team. You will have a track record of successfully initiating, managing and developing relationships with High-Net-Worth individuals and grantmaking bodies, and securing donations and grants, via proposals or through face-to-face meetings, as required.

The service delivers additional support to carers via a monthly newsletter and regular online sessions.

The person in this role will be an excellent communicator and experienced in account management. As well as exceptional customer service skills, you’ll have good knowledge of IT packages and good organisational skills.

Your work will focus on needs specifically related experiences of sexual violence, including issues such as wellbeing, support with the criminal and civil justice process, safety and access to other services to enable survivors to cope and recover. You will sit alongside our other advocates supporting LGBT people facing abuse or violence. You will work with mainstream services to ensure the voices and experiences of LGBT survivors are represented in order to make change for our community at a local and national level. You will also work closely with key partner organisations by attending meetings and have the opportunity to take part in external work to ensure a joined-up approach among services working with LGBT people facing abuse and violence.

As a member of our helpline team, you will provide emotional support and practical guidance to individuals in need, responding to calls, emails, and web chats. You will support individuals who have experienced various forms of violence and abuse, including domestic violence, hate crimes, sexual violence, and so-called conversion therapies. Your role will involve offering a compassionate, non-judgmental, and empathetic ear to those reaching out for help, while carefully assessing each situation to determine the appropriate level of support. You will conduct risk assessments, provide safeguarding assistance, assist with safety planning, signposting, and, when necessary, support with referring individuals on to the right services, always ensuring the highest standards of care and support.

Role Overview

Working in the AdOps team, you will be helping develop campaign strategies based on our client needs. Campaign Associates are responsible for writing corresponding media plans and running campaigns on our own digital advertising platform (called Advocate) and other platforms, to ensure campaign goals are met. 

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of digital advertising strategies for our clients

• Execute digital advertising campaigns on a variety of advertising platforms.

• Monitor campaign performance, and translate campaign reports into actionable optimisations to improve performance. 

• Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy of team output.

Must Have Skills

• University degree (Bachelors or Masters)

• Strong attention to detail.

• Proven organisational skills, with the ability to manage tasks from multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

• Comfort working with digital tools and learning new platforms quickly.

• Strong problem-solving skills. 

• Interest in progressive campaigns and causes.
   

Nice to Have Experience

• Experience implementing digital advertising campaigns. 

• Experience working / volunteering for progressive campaigns or causes. 

• Experience using project management tools to track work and maintain documentation (such as ClickUp).

• Experience with buying ads via search, social, and programmatic buying platforms such as: The Trade Desk, Google Search, DV360, Meta. 

Compensation and benefits

• Temporary contractual until December 31st, 2026

THE ROLE

The Research co-ordinator will help provide a high-quality in-house prospect research service to support the alumni engagement strategy. The postholder will support the charities' strategic engagement and relationship-building efforts, with a particular focus on identifying, researching, and prioritising the charities most senior, influential, and high-potential alumni.

While this role supports fundraising activity, its primary emphasis is on insight-led engagement, including the development of a strategic power list to inform long-term relationship management and future philanthropic support. 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Providing a high-quality in-house prospect research service to the Alumni team and senior leaders, to support strategic alumni and stakeholder engagement 
• Proactively identifying, assessing, and prioritising senior, influential, and high-potential alumni and stakeholders using agreed criteria such as leadership seniority, professional influence, networks, and engagement indicators 
• Supporting the creation, management, and ongoing refinement of a strategic engagement power list to inform relationship-building, stewardship, and long-term engagement planning 
• Delivering a pipeline of high-quality briefing materials for the head of Alumni Engagement and others within senior leadership team
• Compiling and managing a portfolio of research materials and insight projects, including alumni and stakeholder profiles, network mapping, influence analysis, and country-specific intelligence to support engagement activity
• Recording, managing, and enhancing the quality of alumni and stakeholder data using the organisation’s CRM database (Salesforce), ensuring records are accurate, current, and usable for engagement planning 
• Supporting data cleansing and enrichment activity to strengthen the organisation’s understanding of its alumni and stakeholder community 
• Ensuring all research activity is conducted ethically and in line with data protection requirements, exercising discretion and maintaining confidentiality at all times 
• Role modelling the organisation’s values of commitment, inclusion, belonging, growth and innovation

PERSON SPECIFICATION

ESSENTIAL SKILLS and EXPERIENCE

· Previous experience in an educational development, advancement, or alumni office; direct experience in prospect research or insight roles is essential.

· Strong written communication skills, with the ability to summarise complex information clearly and accurately

· Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to data quality and accuracy

· Ability to use initiative and creatively source information to identify opportunities and map relationships and networks

· Ability to handle sensitive information, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgement

· Experience of accurate data entry and record maintenance, with a good working knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and the ability to run reports

· Strong IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

· An interest in, and commitment to the charities core aims, value and mission.

A well-established Housing Association in London is looking to take on a Service Charge Officer for an initial 6 month interim role with the option of going permanent. This association has a significant impact in its community and creates an inspiring, inclusive place to work.

They are looking to bring someone into their collaborative team who comes from a housing association background with strong experience within Service Charges.

Responsibilities:

• Service Charge Estimate and Actual setting
• Reconciliation of Actuals
• Clearing backlog including section 20Bs and hitting specific deadlines
• Mix of accountancy and compliance (knowledge of Service Charge Legislation)

Requirements:

• Service Charge candidate, ideally from a Housing Association background
• Knowledge of Service Charge legislation and ability to build relationships with colleagues and wider stakeholders
• Experience of working in a high volume workload organisation
• Good excel and system skills

Black Thrive is looking for a Project Officer to support community-led change as we improve Black LGBTQ+ mental health and wellbeing across the Black Thrive localities through our programme Black Queer & Thriving.

Black Thrive Global evolved from the work of the Black Thrive Lambeth Partnership, which was established in 2016 to address the inequalities that negatively impact the mental health and wellbeing of Black people in Lambeth. Black people’s cumulative exposure to negative experiences and poor outcomes are not unique to Lambeth and Black Thrive Global was founded in 2020 to address the detrimental outcomes for Black people of African and Caribbean descent wherever they may be located.

We're looking for someone who is confident in supporting the design and delivery of community-led research projects, supporting community engagement activities and providing administrative support to the programme. An understanding of health inequities, systemic racism and the experiences of Black LGBTQ+ communities is essential.

This role will focus on co-production, community engagement and participatory research. It is a great opportunity to contribute to meaningful community research while gaining experience in influencing health systems and supporting strategic partnerships.
