Since 1447, we’ve provided almshouse accommodation to older people with a connection to Croydon who are negatively affected by poverty. For the past 40 years, we’ve also awarded grants to voluntary, community and faith sector organisations, and individuals across the Borough.

To help us deliver this, we’re recruiting an experienced Facilities Officer, to support the Property & Estates Manager (PEM) in the day-to-day operation and management of its almshouses and the wider CA Investment Property Portfolio.

Essential criteria:

· A proven track record of experience working within facilities management and property maintenance

· Experience of coordinating and monitoring contractors and ensuring works are completed to an appropriate standard

· Experience of carrying out inspections, identifying defects and maintaining accurate records

· Understanding of building maintenance programmes

· Knowledge of health and safety requirements, fire safety, water hygiene, asbestos awareness, COSHH and general building compliance

· Legionella Awareness Training and Fire Safety Awareness training

The Head of Youth Work holds overall responsibility for the development and delivery of Providence House Youth Club’s youth work programmes, working with young people aged 8 to 19 from disadvantaged backgrounds across Battersea. What does this role do?

As Public Fundraising Manager, you will:

• manage the successful development and delivery of public fundraising campaigns, working closely with delivery partners to bring our campaigns to locations across the country, from supermarkets and county fairs to door-to-door and street fundraising,

Partnership Management and Development

Sands is the UK’s leading pregnancy and baby loss charity. We work to save babies’ lives and to ensure that anyone affected by pregnancy or baby loss receives the care and support they need.

We are looking for a compassionate, organised and collaborative Hospital Liaison Coordinator to support the delivery, embedding and sustainability of the National Bereavement Care Pathway in England.

This role will help strengthen Sands’ hospital liaison work by building, supporting and developing our network of Hospital Liaison Volunteers. Hospital Liaison Volunteers provide an important link between Sands, NHS services and local communities, helping hospital staff understand and access Sands’ support, training, resources and bereavement care guidance.

The postholder will work closely with volunteers, NHS staff and Sands colleagues to support high-quality, equitable bereavement care for bereaved parents and families. They will coordinate activity, monitor progress, gather feedback and insight, and help ensure learning from hospitals and volunteers informs continuous improvement across the NBCP England programme.

This is a role for someone who is highly organised, values-driven and confident working with people. You will bring experience of supporting volunteer networks, coordinating projects and building strong relationships with a range of stakeholders. You will also be able to communicate sensitively and clearly, work with feedback and evidence, and develop your understanding of bereavement care, maternity services and NHS systems.

Key responsibilities 

Support and develop the Hospital Liaison Volunteer network

Main responsibilities include:

The Belay Foundation supports adoptive, kinship and special guardianship families raising children who have experienced early developmental trauma, often alongside neurodiversity. Founded in 2020 from lived experience, Belay offers something many families struggle to find elsewhere: practical, in-home support and expert guidance that’s genuinely trauma-responsive, delivered by people who understand what these families are living through.

Why now? - Belay has just spent a year strengthening its foundations - redesigning services, building organisational capacity and setting an ambitious growth plan. The groundwork is done. What we need now is a permanent CEO with the vision to take a small, high-impact charity and turn real momentum into lasting change - for families and for how the sector understands and responds to developmental trauma.

About the role - You’ll provide strategic and financial leadership across a small team, working closely with an exceptional Board and Belay’s Founder, who remains closely involved as Services Director. You’ll lead fundraising and income diversification, shape Belay’s public voice and ensure the organisation’s trauma-responsive, DDP-informed model continues to deliver real impact as it scales.

Role Overview: The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of The Vavengers Charity. Working closely with the CEO and Board of Trustees, the COO ensures the organisation operates efficiently, sustainably, and in accordance with its charitable objectives, governance requirements, and legal obligations. The COO will oversee the charity's day-to-day operations, work closely with the CEO to improve organisational systems and processes, manage operational risks, and support the delivery of high-quality frontline, campaigning and convening programmes while fostering a positive and inclusive organisational culture. Alongside the CEO and other team members, the COO is an inspiring leader who champions the charity’s values, elevates its profile, and steers its work to influence national and international policy and advocacy, engage communities, and support survivors of violence.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Support the CEO in delivering the charity's strategic plan.

• Translate strategic priorities into operational plans and measurable outcomes.

• Identify opportunities for organisational growth, innovation, and partnerships.

• Contribute to long-term sustainability planning and organisational development.

Operational Management

• Lead the day-to-day operational management of the charity.

• Develop and maintain effective operational policies, procedures, and systems.

• Ensure programmes and services are delivered efficiently, safely, and to a high standard and be an active delivery person for programmes. 

• Manage the resources and visitors of Vavengers HQ and ensure the space is utilised effectively by ambassadors and members of the charity

Financial Oversight

• Work alongside the CEO and Treasurer to develop and monitor the annual budget and management accounts/cash flow.

• Actively participate in income-generating activities, including supporting grant applications, other fundraising initiatives, and partnership building.
