The Information Manager is a pivotal senior role within The Migraine Trust—responsible for shaping and developing all health information produced by the organisation. This role ensures that our information is accurate, accessible, evidence‑based and meets the highest national standards, including oversight of our Patient Information Forum (PIF TICK) accreditation. The health information we produce covers a wide range of topics from migraine treatments, management of migraine, latest research and migraine triggers. There is also an ongoing need to scope new information needs and, where identified, produce new information. The depth of health information we currently have and will produce in the future ensures that this role will offer plenty of opportunities to work with a range of stakeholders on a variety of information topics. We currently hold PIF TICK certification, which will be part of this role to maintain. You will help us maintain the quality of our health information and ensure that we comply with the charity’s writing style and branding.

Acting as the charity’s subject‑matter expert on migraine information, the postholder plays a vital strategic role in influencing organisational priorities, ensuring the public, healthcare professionals, policymakers and wider stakeholders have access to accurate, impactful and up‑to‑date content.

Key tasks and responsibilities

Producing and maintaining quality information

Manage The Migraine Trust’s provision of health information in line with the charity’s annual planning cycle and the PIF TICK accreditation.  This will include: -

· Lead The Migraine Trust’s health information portfolio, ensuring alignment to annual plans, organisational strategy, and PIF TICK quality standards

· Manage the full lifecycle of health information—from scoping and research to writing, expert review, design and publication

· Reviewing and updating existing information content, ensuring it is accurate, up-to-date, accessible and produced in consultation with service users and people with lived experience, relevant medical advisors, health care professionals, the charity’s staff and other relevant specialists and organisations when appropriate

· Identify emerging gaps in information and lead the development of new materials

· Identify and engage with target groups identified in our three year strategy to identify need and produce associated materials

Support the evaluation and impact reporting of our information provision by regularly monitoring its use using a variety of evaluation methods and produce timely and accurate reports for both internal and external use.

Research

A very small aspect of this role is to be the focal point for our research administration which will include:

· Being the key point of communication and support for the research committee

· Liaising with researchers funded by the charity and ensuring project reporting is up to date

Your role

As a Senior F2F Fundraising Manager, you will be tasked with focus on the following areas:

• Recruit, train and manage a geographically diverse group of direct reports. Develop and motivate direct reports to deliver key messages, campaigns and products within the F2F strategy.
• As a senior manager in the F2F fundraising team (200+ staff), continue to develop and maintain a positive high-performing culture to ensure the team are performing at their best and developing. Drive continuous improvement across all KPIs.
• Construct and monitor financial and performance reports to ensure budget & KPIs are met, reforecasting where necessary.
• Develop a positive safety culture by identifying and managing risks to health and safety and safeguarding.

�� About the Role

In this role, you will be working with engineering, product and research colleagues to build confidence using observability principles that aids our understanding of our users and help us continually improve our products. We work together in product squads alongside designers, researchers and education experts, regularly releasing new features and improvements to give teachers and their pupils quick and easy access to the highest quality learning resources.

As a young organisation we have been able to leverage the latest technologies to rapidly build and deliver the game changing products we have. Now that we've proven ourselves and are established, we want to mature our processes to ensure we are getting the best out of the technology and remain able to respond quickly to business needs. We see this role as being a key part of that change.

You will be tasked with raising our monitoring and observability to a high standard across all our key applications while working closely with engineering teams to help them improve the stability of their applications and give engineers more sense of ownership.

You will also drive site reliability engineering principles and be a key driver of automation by working alongside other members of the platform team, helping to improve the overall developer experience.

Candidates must have a good understanding of SRE principles and the value they bring to an organisation. While a good grounding in development practices, security fundamentals and infrastructure operation are key, specific technical skills are less important than a passion for automation, an ability to understand complex systems and a keenness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Lead the continuous improvement of the observability, performance, and reliability of our web applications (Next.js, JavaScript, Typescript, Node), Serverless Functions (Google Cloud Functions, Cloudflare). Deployed on PaaS Infrastructure (Vercel, Cloudflare).

• Promote and nurture a culture of quality across the product and engineering department, enabling teams in using SLO/SLAs to ensure they maintain a high quality of service delivery.

• Take ownership of our observability, monitoring, logging and reporting solutions to ensure they are easy to use and provide development teams with the information they need to understand service quality, resolve problems quickly, and get meaningful insights into application behaviour.

• Identify and implement ways in which automation can be used to speed up development, secure systems or improve the quality of the services we provide.

• As a member of the Oak Team, you will contribute to the wider success and culture of the organisation and support and role model our five values: create the right environment, be a great colleague, own your role but work for the team, make things happen, and keep getting better.

• Work in cross-functional and product-oriented squads with colleagues from across the organisation, as required. Oak has a strong focus on collaboration and mentoring.

Knowledge, skills, and experience

• The ideal candidate would have strong professional experience leading the continuous improvement of event-driven architectures using Serverless technologies such as Google Cloud Run, AWS Lambda or Azure Serverless.

• Considerable experience in designing and implementing monitoring, observability and reporting solutions for complex cloud infrastructures within a major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, Azure). In production we’re using Datadog as our main monitoring platform.

• Confident in understanding and maintaining web application code and able to design and build small apps, preferably using JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Experience working with Cloud computing platforms and a familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools. We’ve chosen Terraform as our Infrastructure as Code tool.

• Comfortable promoting and leading a spirit of collaboration with a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Refuge as a domestic abuse refuge worker, providing high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children living in our refuge accommodation in Warwickshire.

The post holder will work closely with survivors from the point of crisis and admission to the refuge, through to move on from the emergency accommodation. This involves providing a personalised, holistic support and safety plan, enabling survivors to access housing, welfare, benefits and legal advice.
