Head of Marketing, Digital and Communication

As the strategic lead for all marketing including digital, and external communications, this role reports into the Executive Director of Innovation and Social Impact and manages a small and high performing team. You will be responsible for defining and achieving a clear strategy for campaigns and communications to all external stakeholders, working across platforms to grow reach and engagement.
Your team will support marketing, design and content creation across the charity, covering a wide variety of functions including those that deliver ambitious and specialist social care, recruitment, fundraising, volunteering as well as our innovative programmes around advocacy, supported employment and digital skills.
Ultimately, we will rely on your expertise to make all the difference to people we support so that they can live, love, thrive and belong as equal members of their communities.
Your responsibilities
- Modelling inclusive leadership, you will ensure a learning and supportive culture for your team and one that champions wellbeing and celebrates their many achievements.
- Responsible for leadership, performance and direction of the Marcomms team.
- As part of SeeAbility’s Leadership Group, taking a key role in collaborating to deliver our 5 year strategy and building a one team culture.
- Working across teams within SeeAbility and implementing an integrated marketing and communications strategy that will build external engagement, drive brand awareness and support the growth of income.
- Working with all SeeAbility teams with an external output (including social care, recruitment, eye care, fundraising and our innovative programmes) to ensure marketing and external communications are coordinated within the above strategy, engagement is raised, and a good ROI is achieved.
- Ensuring all of the charity’s communications promote the brand. Developing and embedding a coherent organisation-wide narrative that tells the story of what SeeAbility does and is trying to achieve over the strategy period.
- Managing the copywriting process for a wide breadth of material including the yearly impact and annual reports, briefings for key stakeholders, stories, articles, campaigns and newsletters.
- Supporting the digital marketing manager to maximise SeeAbility’s ability to reach audiences digitally across the marketing mix. You must be skilled in digital marketing to provide strategic input and support where needed.
- Ensuring all digital provision including website and social media content promotes the brand and our reputation. Be able to use the website Contents Management System to make timely changes to material where needed.
- Providing strategic management of the team’s workload, prioritising and scheduling activities and directing the allocation of work to meet deadlines for multiple marketing activities across a variety of teams.
- Leading on all crisis communications for the charity, preparing proactive and reactive media lines, drafting press releases and pitching ideas to the press – print, digital and TV where required. Manage SeeAbility’s media strategy and relationships and develop relationships with media partners for marketing purposes.
- Approving production of media releases/statements, briefing materials, video and audio and features material.
- Acting as spokesperson for the organisation, when required.
- Building relationships with third party partners to maximise the organisation's effectiveness and reach.

Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Maintain integrity in all interactions with all CRM systems, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all quality assurance activity
- Liaise with the programme managers to ensure that performance reports and the quality assurance systems in place are understood, function properly and are reported regularly
- Develop approaches to extract information from the various CRM to meet reporting needs
- Compile and present data for reports to existing funders, understanding the reporting requirements of each, including written analysis to support reporting and infographics.
Person Specification
Essential Competencies:
- Experience of conducting internal audits.
- Project coordination or assistance experience.
- Experience of data governance and information security, including GDPR 2016 and DPA 2018.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, QA applications and databases.
- Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA/QC.
Desirable Competencies:
- ISO Certified Implementer in the ISO Management System Standards; ISO 9001:2015.

About the role
Leonard Cheshire Disability working with the John Lewis Communities Investment Fund is recruiting for Part-time Digital Inclusion Coordinators to support the delivery of a new digital inclusion and upskilling pathway for young people with disabilities in the following areas: Chester, Sheffield, York, Ashford, Basingstoke, Peterborough.
The role will work closely with young people (aged 18-25) with disabilities, volunteers, and other stakeholders - providing them with training sessions, advice, guidance and support to enable them to be more confident to use IT, get online and develop skills for employability.
The Digital Inclusion Coordinator will effectively deliver all elements of the Digital Inclusion pathway, deliver training sessions, lead on participant and volunteer recruitment to enhance the Programme’s reach and impact, and work with local community-based teams as well as our central assistive technology resource.
The programme will deliver a suite of training sessions, giving participants access to computers to develop their skills and employability, support a number of accessible IT options and provide disabled people access to IT equipment.
Applicants will have to demonstrate experience of supporting people to use IT and prior work with volunteers.
An understanding of digital inclusion, IT skills for employability, accessible IT, adaptations and/or assistive technology will be an advantage.
The role will also be responsible for collating accurate data to support monitoring, evaluation and development; this will include monthly reports as well as quality and impact data.
About you
The role would suit someone who enjoys working with a variety of people, who has good attention to detail, who is self-motivated, takes their own initiative and who is very confident using Microsoft Office packages.
You should be patient and comfortable explaining things from a very basic starting point. You will enjoy listening to what people want to achieve before assisting them to achieve it.

This role is home based, but will include some travel nationally, and some overnight stays.
As a Peer Support Coordinator you will: -
Manage a number of Peer Support volunteers who have lived experience of bereavement through homicide. You will support them to use their experience to help others who are also bereaved. This will involve monthly supervisions and regular communication to ensure they are up to date with service procedures and developments.
You will have experience of working in a trauma-informed way, with empathy and compassion. You will have good personal resilience, and be able to make effective use of supervisions to manage your wellbeing.

Main role requirements:

Support
In February 2016 we launched our nurse-led Support Line. We have answered over 13,000 queries from patients, carers, family members, friends, and health professionals. We are independent and confidential, offering time and a listening ear, and help people to find the right answers for them. We help regional and national peer support groups to run effectively across the UK. These groups offer a lifeline to people affected by sarcoma. We offer annual grants to each group, attend group meetings to give presentations, provide speakers and give support and advice to group leaders.
Information
Sarcoma UK provides health information to those affected by sarcoma, their families and friends. Our range of patient guides cover diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and many other issues faced by those affected by sarcoma. Our information is very well received by patients and health professionals.
In March 2018 we launched the Sarcoma Clinical Trials Hub on our website. It is an accessible way for the sarcoma community to find out about sarcoma clinical trials in the UK.
Sarcoma UK aims to produce the highest quality information for the sarcoma community. We work in line with NHS England’s certification scheme, The Information Standard, to ensure the information we produce is clear and reflects the most up to date clinical guidance. We involve sarcoma experts and people with personal experience of sarcoma as reviewers of our information to ensure our information is accurate and relevant to our target audience.

- Delivering a specialist digital service to children and young people (CYP) bereaved by homicide, and for those CYP who have witnessed a homicide where this is in London.

The Role
We are looking for a Jobs & Education Advisor to deliver employability programmes and contracts as requested by management. The post holder will manage a caseload across Barnsley and Sunderland and you will be expected to;
- Provide employment support to young people and/or unemployed clients. Deliver safe, quality outreach services by increasing appropriate referrals and supporting the retention of learners on internal/external programmes.
- Ensure the maximum number of learners achieve an employment, education or training (EET) status and or qualification post programme.
- Accurately create, track and manage young people’s EET data
- Provide face to face and telephone liaison at all levels,
- Maintain partnerships with all relevant external agencies
- Provide outreach across Barnsley and Sunderland
About You
The successful candidate would ideally hold an NVQ 3 or other professional qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance or in a related field and with a strong knowledge of working in compliance with safer working guidance and legislation. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, and the IT skills necessary to undertake all administrative and reporting requirements. You will possess literacy and numeracy skills sufficient to support people around employment matters. You will be able to positively engage and understand the educational and employment needs of disadvantaged people through past appointments.
You will have strong knowledge and understanding of the importance of working in an equal opportunity and anti-oppressive framework and a willingness to put this in to practice.

You will want to place our supporters at the heart of everything you do by cultivating and stewarding relationships to deliver a first-class experience.
You will work to targets and need strong planning and organisational skills to deal with the variety of challenges the role brings.
To be successful in this role you will need to have a positive, proactive, hands on approach in-order to deliver shared targets. These are measured by conversion, retention, and average value.
In addition, you will have strong written and oral communication and influencing skills to enable you to engage, inspire and deliver key messages. Plus, experience of working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders

About the role:
The post is full time, Mon-Fri 9-5 although there will be a need for flexibility. The post is initially offered fixed term until March 2023 but may be extended depending on funding. This post is home-based but some travel around the Cumbria area may be required.

Experience & knowledge of the criminal justice system, local government agencies and the ability to develop a network of contacts are also required, along with a clean driving licence.
Specific Responsibilities
Engagement
- Support the National Nova Manager to create and maintain strong working relationships with referring organisations in North Yorkshire and North East Area, including the Police and NHS Liaison and Diversion.
- Receive details of referrals from the Nova Client Advisors, or directly. If referrals are received directly share information with the Nova Client Advisors.
- Engage with veterans face-to-face for the initial visit and as necessary throughout their engagement with Project Nova, following the Case Management Guidance, RFEA Policies and the Project Nova Procedures.
- Register each Nova Veteran’s details on the CRM and obtain consent to share their data with organisations in the support network and any further information required by the Project Nova registration.
- Undertake a comprehensive needs assessment with each Nova Veteran.
Case Management
- Provide emotional support to veterans through regular contact whilst they are engaged with Project Nova.
- Establish a care coordination plan with each Nova Veteran that provides for support from within RFEA and Walking with the Wounded and with the organisations in the Nova area support Network.
- Work with families to ensure their effective participation in the Criminal Justice System, with other statutory services and with the support network.
- Keep clear records for each case on the CRM.
- Record the veterans journey on Outcome Star
- Ensure confidentiality, the family is a separate case to the veteran, who is also supported by Project Nova.
- When the Nova Veteran is ready, develop their employability and suitable opportunities for employment either, directly using RFEA employability tools and working with local employers or, through the wider RFEA or Walking With The Wounded.
- Project Nova is an active intervention. Close cases once the progress of Nova Veterans has reached its full potential, identifying long term social contact, formal or informal, in every case.
Person Specification
Essential Competencies
- Highly motivated and independent, capable of working remotely across a wide geographical area.
- Resilient and able to work with individuals with complex needs and cope with the rigors that arise from working with veterans in the criminal justice system.
- Commitment to working with each veteran without prejudice and in an equitable manner, including those who are arrested for violent or sexual offences.
- Experience of working with people using a mentoring or coaching approach to engage and support the individuals we work with to change their lives.
- Highly organised with strong IT skills and experience of using CRM systems.
- Strong communicators with veterans, referring organisations and within the Project Nova Team sharing information on cases with Team Leaders and Nova Client Advisors.
- Excellent team players who will contribute to a diverse and dedicated team.
