The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.

We are now looking for a Retail Supervisor to join us on a seasonal, part-time contract from July to October, working 20 hours per week with the potential for additional hours.

The Role

As a Retail Supervisor, you will support the delivery of our retail operations, starting at the Hyde Park Boat House and expanding to additional retail outlets.

Working closely with the Retail Manager, you’ll help ensure our shops achieve their financial goals and maintain excellent customer service and presentation standards at all times.

Beyond this, you will also lead and develop a team of paid staff, supporting their training, performance and rota management, and create a welcoming, high-quality retail environment that delights customers.

Additionally, you will:

• Promote upselling and encourage donations and sign-ups
• Manage POS reconciliations and ensure adherence to financial policies
• Oversee stock deliveries, ecommerce fulfilment and inventory control

About You

About us

Parallel is a small but ambitious charitable initiative doing big things: we currently support over 3,000 students through our maths enrichment activities, around 500 of whom receive dedicated weekly, small-group online tutorials in The Parallel Academy. Our mission is to support students on our programmes to fulfil their mathematical potential, by providing them with the opportunity to develop their reasoning and problem-solving skills beyond the curriculum.

The Role

We are rapidly expanding our service provision over the coming months, and are seeking a full or part-time Project Administrator to join our passionate and energetic team. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our programmes and help embed the tools and processes for reaching thousands more students each year.

This is a versatile role with responsibilities ranging from database management to setting up online events and communicating with service users, schools and tutoring staff. Working within a small administration team, you will be proficient at using a range of tools such as spreadsheets, meeting platforms and scheduling software, and will be willing to learn new ways of working. We are looking for someone who can remain focused under pressure, using their initiative to deal proactively with a range of tasks and to prioritise the competing demands of a busy workload. 

Hours

This is a flexible and fully remote role, and you will have significant autonomy in how you structure your working week. 

As part of your contracted hours, you will be required to work some evenings and weekends, but this will not exceed one day a week in total. There will also be periods when there is a higher workload (e.g., during student recruitment periods), so you may be required to offer some flexibility in working longer (and then shorter) hours week to week. We are happy to discuss how the hours and role might work for you during the interview stage.
 

Key duties and responsibilities 

• Develop and maintain accurate, up-to-date spreadsheets relating to student rosters and learning data.

• Adopt data hygiene principles so that data is managed smartly, in accordance with our data privacy policy.

• Lead on event creation, which primarily concerns the hundreds of weekly tutorials we run each week, but also extends to other activities such as student admissions, end of term testing and public webinars.

• Help to manage a high-volume inbox, responding to daily emails and triaging across the team by assigning correct levels of priority to each correspondence.

• Support the onboarding of new tutors (e.g. overseeing DBS checks, approving invoices) and take the lead on finding cover when gaps appear in our tutoring schedule.

• Liaise with prospective schools and students and undertake key data gathering activities to identify the most suitable candidates for our programmes.

• Support in developing and updating key policies and procedures. 

• Support with general administrative tasks.

• The post-holder will also be expected to undertake any other tasks commensurate with the role and which may be reasonably required. 

Requirements

Skills 

• Proficient in working with digital tools and software such as Google Sheets, Docs, Forms, Zoom and Trello (and able to learn new tools very quickly).

• Excellent with spreadsheets and data - you know your vlookups from your pivot tables 

• Strong written communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders, with a professional and sensitive approach. 

• Strong judgement: can be relied upon to implement agreed processes but also shows initiative to suggest improvements to how we work.

This is a demanding but deeply rewarding role that combines service delivery, engagement, and emotional resilience. As Events & Engagement Officer, you will work closely with our Operational Support Team to design and deliver a varied programme of online and in-person events. These will support the wellbeing of our Members (adult family members of injured veterans and serving personnel), reduce isolation, and build understanding of the challenges faced by military families.

The Ripple Pond is a UK-wide charity that supports the adult family members of physically or psychologically injured Armed Forces personnel and veterans. We provide peer support, structured guidance, and signposting to improve wellbeing and reduce isolation for families who often carry complex emotional burdens in silence. Our work is rooted in lived experience and built on a foundation of inclusion, compassion, and community.

The Operational Support Team lies at the heart of our frontline service. It delivers one-to-one support, coordinates safeguarding and triage, and ensures Members are connected to the right pathways at the right time. It is a trauma-informed, emotionally intelligent team that works with care and professionalism, ensuring that no one caring for an injured veteran or serviceperson feels alone.

You will start your time with The Ripple Pond by embedding into the Operations Team for approximately two months. This will give you a firm grounding in the lived experiences of our Members and ensure you’re fully trained to act as Duty Officer. As Duty Officer, you’ll receive and respond to referrals and enquiries, complete needs assessments, carry out risk assessments, and navigate Members to appropriate internal or external support. This may involve responding to distressing and traumatic situations, including domestic abuse, suicidal ideation, addiction, and other complex issues. You will also be expected to attend (online) multi-agency meetings.

This role requires emotional resilience, sound judgment, and exceptional communication skills. You will need to work flexibly, including some evenings and occasional weekends, and travel to a limited number of face-to-face events and meetings throughout the year. In return, you will be part of a supportive, values-driven team making a real and lasting difference to people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with your colleagues to design and deliver an engaging and inclusive programme of digital and in-person events that support Member wellbeing, build confidence, reduce isolation, and encourage peer connection.

• Co-develop activities such as themed discussion groups, creative and recreational workshops (e.g. book clubs, craft groups, quiz nights, art workshops, journaling, fitness, etc.), and skill-building sessions.

• Plan and lead external engagement sessions for professionals and stakeholders to improve understanding of the Armed Forces family experience.

• Manage the full event cycle, from concept and scheduling to promotion, delivery, and evaluation.

• Work closely with the Operational Support Team to ensure all activities reflect Member needs and organisational aims.

• Act as Duty Officer on a rota basis, including during periods of staff leave or absence. This includes responding to new enquiries, completing needs and risk assessments, and triaging Members into appropriate pathways of support.

• Respond sensitively to Members disclosing trauma or distress and act in line with our safeguarding and escalation procedures.

• Attend virtual joint-agency meetings when required to support Members or represent the charity.

• Use digital tools to promote and deliver content (e.g. Zoom, Canva, Transpond, Eventbrite, CRM systems).

• Collect and evaluate Member feedback to help refine services and contribute to reporting and development work.

• Support cross-organisational projects and team-wide initiatives as needed.

Terms and Conditions

The Postdoctoral Research Manager will assist the Director of Research in running Bipolar UK’s Research Division:

This is an exciting role which will combine overseeing and managing existing and prospective research partnerships with research teams around the country and world, and taking part in the development of Bipolar UK-led research.

Job Title: Deputy Service Manager 

Location: In Service based in Croydon, CR0 1EB. You will be required to work across multiple services within the area. 

Salary: £30,200

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday, working across a rota which will include day and night shifts as we provide a 24 hour service.  

About the role

We are looking for a Deputy Service Manager to join our team based in Croydon, providing leadership and line management to a team of night staff which is around 10 people in total. You will provide support and supervision sessions at night, and general leadership to the team so they feel empowered to be productive and perform well within their roles. You will further ensure a quality service is delivered in line with our contractual requirements to the residents. You will be responsible for creating a psychologically informed environment (PIE) with person centred support during all hours. You will work closely with the day teams to ensure a smooth handover from the day to night. 

This service is a Forensic Mental Health provision for 27 people across 4 sites in Croydon. For your own personal safety, you will require to have access to your own transport as you will need to travel between our 4 sites during the night shift to provide managerial support to the teams. The teams support our residents with person centred support, to empower them to overcome their personal barriers with their mental health, to have greater independence and fulfilled living. The service is responsible for holding various activities, group sessions, and one to one support to enable residents to build their personal skills and experiences to achieve their goals. 

The role includes:

• Line Management and Leadership, supporting your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle
• Support the Service Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service
• Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed
• Property and Housing Management, ensuring the accommodation meets our requirements, and repairs and maintenance are regularly reported and completed
• Financial Management, including petty cash and budget management
• Contract management and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required.

About the role

This role will continue to develop and deliver Allergy UK’s youth engagement initiative for our existing Youth Engagement Group for young adults living with allergies aged 18-25. 

This role will also need to recruit members to a new Youth Engagement Group for young people living with allergies aged 13-17.

We are excited to create and deliver projects focused on engaging young people who live with allergy and providing opportunities for them to have a voice and support them in raising awareness of the issues that affect their life. The role of Youth Engagement Officer will be to engage with young people across the UK, to ensure that they have the opportunities and support to shape and influence Allergy UK’s programmes and activities for young people living with allergy.

The successful individual will work to develop youth engagement opportunities which increase skills, confidence, and life chances through supporting young people living with this disease to overcome any barriers they face.

 As a Youth Engagement Officer, you will have experience of working positively with young people and have a proactive nature. Organisation skills and initiative is a must as you will be the lead on our youth provision.You will be required to coordinate activities with young people such as online and in-person engagement, blogs, podcasts, learning and digital activities. In addition to this, you will need to effectively lead the young people to help them shape services for young people in the allergic community to better improve the standard of care that exists in the public, private and commercial sectors.

The Benefits Service within South East London Mind is a well-established offer of support to clients who need to access welfare benefits they are entitled to receive. The service currently provides casework support for people who need to challenge benefits decisions across the three boroughs of Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich. There is also a cross-area team of volunteers who assist with form filling and all aspects of the assessment process.

We are looking for a Benefits Service Manager with significant experience of working within welfare benefits. You will have a good understanding of the needs of people with mental health problems and the links with welfare issues. You will take responsibility for the quality of support the team deliver to ensure it is robust and accountable.
