Job Summary:

GSG Impact is looking for an Event Manager to support the organization of the annual Global Leadership Meeting (GLM), which will take place in Japan from May 20 to 22, 2025.

The GLM is a three-day, highly interactive international event designed as a workshop experience. It is organized in partnership with our local partner, the Japan National Partner. This invitation-only event has approximately 150 attendees from over 60 countries.

The Event Manager is responsible for the logistics planning and execution of this event, ensuring its success, on-budget, and alignment with GSG and Japan National Partner goals.

This role requires exceptional project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with stakeholders in different time zones to deliver a high-quality experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Event Planning, Coordination & Execution:

● Manage a comprehensive event plan, including budget and timeline.

● Create a simple mini website or online tool to communicate clear information about the event and manage registrations.

● Manage event communications with invitees: plan, draft and send out invitations and reminders to register for the event.

● Support attendees with Visa requirements

● Support GSG Impact team with travel requirements and accommodations

● Act as the primary point of contact for attendees’ requests regarding logistics (e.g., accommodations, travel, and food requirements).

● Communicate with the event venue to create the right setting for the event.

● Communicate with the event hotel to ensure a smooth booking process for attendees.

● Collaborate with local stakeholders to research and recommend venues and suppliers that align with event goals and budget.

● Manage event-day operations, including staff coordination, troubleshooting, and ensuring a smooth guest experience.

2. Stakeholder Communication

● Provide regular updates on event progress, challenges, and milestones to key stakeholders.

3. Budget Management

● Maintain a detailed event budget to ensure the event is delivered within the approved budget.

● Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.

4. Post-Event Analysis

● Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback, measure success, and identify improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

Experience:

● Proven experience (5-8 years) in event planning and management, including large-scale events.

● Proven experience with international events and complex contexts.

● Experience working with multiple stakeholders.

Skills & Competencies:

● Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

● Proficiency in event management software and online tools.

● Budgeting and financial management skills.

Payment Terms and Rate

We prefer candidates who operate as self-employed or through their own company and can invoice for services (equivalent to a freelance/contractor arrangement). The day rate for this role is £250, we estimate approximately 100 working days for this role.

We are looking for an ambitious business development professional who has experience in end to end project management and a track record of securing six-figure funding opportunities. 

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a vital role in retaining existing contracts and spearheading the development of new business through public procurement opportunities, which are crucial to Catch22's growth and stability.

You will become an essential part of our entrepreneurial, energetic, and passionate Business Development team, contributing to the achievement of our income targets and growth aspirations. Your main responsibilities will include: 

• Delivering a dynamic portfolio of bidding activities: Leading end-to-end bid management to secure major public sector contracts for Catch22.
• Designing innovative, outcomes-focused solutions: Spearheading the creation of high-quality services and products across Catch22’s delivery hubs.
• Driving strategic insights: Conducting upstream research and development to inform business development decisions and strategic planning.

Reporting to the Head of Policy and Research, you will design and deliver high quality research and policy outputs in support of Action for Children's work to influence and change UK Government policy around children in care and deliver lasting change in children's lives.

You'll work closely with our Influencing and Media teams and Services colleagues to ensure Action for Children is at the forefront of the policy debate and has maximum impact with key national and local stakeholders.

You will have significant experience and a proven track record in developing and delivering fundraising strategy, particularly focused on trusts, foundations and philanthropy, taking a relationship-based approach to build partnerships with organisations that share similar values and vision.

You will work with the team to build our capability, partnership, systems and processes to steward relationships, develop grants and manage their delivery.  Working with our Communications Co-ordinator you will help to build INTRAC’s profile and position in line with our strategic vision and ambitions.  You will have active support from the CEO along with strong board commitment to help develop and deliver this role.

This is a part time role (0.6-0.8 FTE); initially offered as an eighteen month contract with the intention to extend should the role be successful.

We are a remote organisation, with staff working across the UK. Charity Fundraising Ltd provides a comprehensive range of fundraising, strategic consultancy and evaluation services to Charities and other not-for-profit organisations. Established in 2000, our services range from grant and contract bid writing and review, to developing fundraising strategies, developing M&E frameworks and undertaking project and programme evaluations. We also offer a range of strategic support, mentoring and training. We work with lots of amazing charities, both local and national, small and large, across the UK, covering themes such as: Homelessness; addiction; youth; community; disability; mental health; minoritised groups; medical conditions; heritage; environment and more.

We are seeking an exceptional fundraiser who can offer a strong track record of driving organisational growth in the voluntary sector. Multi-year experience in two or more of the following core service areas is essential:

• Achieving major grant funding from trusts, foundations, lottery distributors, public sector agencies or similar.
• Planning and developing successful fundraising strategies and action plans.
• Undertaking voluntary sector project evaluations / developing M&E frameworks.
• Planning and developing successful contract tender submissions.

The role is varied and interesting - managing a portfolio of clients and supporting them directly or strategically with their fundraising, impact evaluation and organisational development. Our consultants are all employees and we work closely together as a supportive team, sharing and developing skills and knowledge. We anticipate the appointee may not hold experience across all core areas of our services. We will enable the appointee to focus on projects that play to their strengths and experience and provide further support and training as necessary.

Based from home (must be UK resident), with ad hoc client and team meetings/socials (all travel paid), mostly within England. All IT equipment provided. Full-time or part-time (minimum 0.8 FTE - 28 hrs).

You will

• Celebrate the achievements of brain injury survivors across the UK, promote the services that Headway UK offers and raise awareness of the prevalence of brain injury.
• Establish Headway as a leading voice in the area of brain injury, ensuring that relevant media outlets are presented with relevant information.

What you will do

• Obtain regular positive national and local media coverage for Headway
• Produce high-quality written materials for release to the media
• Communicate with and facilitate media coverage for independent Headway charities and volunteer-led branches, helping to raise their profiles locally
• Monitor and evaluate media coverage and PR activity to enable the effective tracking of the charity’s reputation.
• Be the first point of call for all media enquiries and take appropriate action
• Manage and cultivate relationships with local and national media.
• Liaise with the fundraising department and promote its initiatives in local and national media outlets.
• Source and interview individuals willing to share their personal experiences of brain injury & to draft personal testimonies and create a database of case studies ready to be used in reaction to relevant news stories.
• Assist in the production of Headway News and other regular communications
• Assist in the planning and execution of the national campaign for Action for Brain Injury Week and to assist in the implementation of additional campaigns throughout the year

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, ambitious Regional Fundraiser to join our team.  

In this role you will:

• Recruit, build and maintain supporter relationships with individuals, community groups, organisations and businesses across the south of the country

• Be proactive within your assigned area to identify opportunities for fundraising and raise awareness of the charity 

• Manage supporters effectively using Salesforce (CRM Database) to understand supporter motivations to provide excellent stewardship 

• Meet agreed financial targets, provide monthly financial progress reports and put mitigation plans in place for any shortfall 

• Promote Shine activities and campaigns to raise awareness and drive income

• Knowledge and experience of working across community, corporate, event and individual income streams, with a proven history of achieving financial targets 

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire supporters and build long-term relationships

• Ability to be a team player who can work on their own initiative to plan and manage their workload

About the role

You’ll manage, coach and develop a team of eight home based Parkinson’s Local Advisers (PLAs) to deliver a high standard of service across Scotland.  You’ll ensure that the team is supported in meeting service demand which will include more complex casework, covering gaps, or supporting new/inexperienced colleagues.

You’ll work with colleagues across the wider Parkinson’s UK Scotland team to support the delivery of local priorities to reach and support more people affected by Parkinson’s. 

What you’ll do: 

• Lead a team of Parkinson’s Local Advisers to deliver a professional service that gives accurate, tailored information and support based on needs in line with optimal service practice
• Ensure quality service standards are met, including assessing needs, advocacy, information and support given and referrals
• Provide support and guidance to your team of advisers, including on complex casework and safeguarding cases. Occasional need to pick up direct casework at busy times/absences etc.
• Ensure appropriate staffing cover and support other teams as required

What you’ll bring: 

• Experience of managing, coaching, developing, and motivating a dispersed staff team, including workload distribution and prioritisation 
• Ability to implement reflective practice principles 
• Commitment to working principles  that empower people who use our services 
• Experience of providing health and social care information services 
• Experience of delivering a multi channel service effectively
