ABOUT THE ROLE

Team: Active Journeys, South and East

As Project Officer, you will work across a wide range of projects to support and enable more people to walk, wheel and cycle. This is a dynamic and varied role, providing flexible support to short-term projects and initiatives or support different stages of longer-term projects.

What You’ll Be Doing 

• Plan and deliver practical behavioural change and engagement walking, wheeling and cycling projects and activities, with clear direction and support from the line manager.
• Working on projects independently or with others as part of a team, including working with colleagues from the National Cycle Network, Infrastructure, Active Journeys or Connected Communities teams.
• Integrate our volunteers in projects and activities where appropriate, supporting their recruitment, training and ongoing involvement when needed.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking on new challenges, where a workday never looks the same, and the opportunity to work with colleagues with a wide mix of disciplines.

The role involves undertaking in‑person work across the region. This includes regular travel and occasional work outside of core office hours.

 Job Purpose

The Programme Development Manager role is a critical role in ensuring the development and progression of our programmes. The role is responsible for drafting compelling propositions for our UK programmes and both the proposal development and remote programme management oversight of our international work.  

Key responsibilities will include developing partnerships and delivering compelling propositions to expand our existing donor-base and programme reach. This role will also manage and support the delivery of impactful projects and be responsible for collaborating with our wider Habitat for Humanity network. This role is central to translating Habitat for Humanity's GB’s mission and strategy into high-quality programmes that maximise social impact.

This is a remote (home-based) role, with regular travel to internal meetings in London and occasionally for monitoring visits overseas.

 Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Partnership and Proposal Development: Develop and deliver compelling partnerships to expand our existing donor-base

· Scope funding and partnership opportunities and engage with existing, new and potential institutional donors and programme partners through 1) desk research; 2) preparing donor/partner profiles; 3) updating an active pipeline of proposals and opportunities; 4) engaging, building and maintaining new and existing partnerships.

· Lead the proposal development and submission process of high-quality programmes – including narrative, Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks and budget preparation. This will require working directly with our network of National Offices (NOs), and Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI), ensuring that Habitat GB aligns with the tools and processes that have been developed to support this work.

· Coordinate and lead proposal development meetings with NOs and HFHI, including taking the meeting minutes.

· Ensure that feedback and learning from project bids, both successful and unsuccessful, is shared across the organisation and is used to inform future thematic priorities and programme design.

2. Impact Delivery: Manage and deliver impactful projects

· Support National Offices to prepare and establish effective project management tools and mechanisms for grant set-up and project launches in close collaboration with HFHI.

· Coordinate monthly project management meetings for key projects with National Offices.

· Conduct monitoring visits (if necessary) to projects, alongside the provision of distance monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) and safeguarding support to National Offices and their partners. Collate data, ensuring it is of high quality and produced in line with grant agreements.

· Draft, review and edit/format project reports for timely submissions to donors in close collaboration with Habitat GB colleagues, National Offices/Branches and HFHI colleagues, ensuring donor compliance.

· Support the timely transfer of funds to National Offices, tracking progress against expenditure.

3. Collaboration: Across Habitat GB and the wider Habitat network

· Supervise and mentor Programmes Assistants and volunteers (where/when) applicable, supporting their development and the delivery of high-quality work.

· Actively participate in several Communities of Practice (CoPs) hosted by major donors and development networks for external knowledge sharing and learning.

· Present key thematic topics within Habitat GB quarterly for internal sharing.

· Post case studies and project highlights on Habitat GB website.

Dravet Syndrome is a rare, life-long and life-limiting form of epilepsy that affects approximately one in every 15,000 people in the UK (around 2-4,000 people in total). Thousands of young people were sleeping rough every night, with many areas notoriously dubbed “cardboard cities” due to the visible rise in street homelessness. The Director of Professional Standards and Accreditation is a senior position focused on establishing, overseeing, and upholding the standards that support professional registration and the award of professional titles within the cyber security industry. The role is responsible for overseeing operations that support the Councils core duties to:

• Set and enforce the standards of competence and behaviour required of those whose name is included of the Register of Cyber Security Professionals;

• Approve qualifications, certifications and assessment routes delivered by third party providers recognised as leading to professional registration;

• Award the professional titles of Chartered, Principal, Practitioner and Associate cyber professional and associated specialist designations.

• Determine continuing competence and CPD requirements to support ongoing entitlement to remain on the Register and hold a professional title in cyber security.

The role

The post holder will work alongside our Co-Executive Director, Head of Legal and Legal Administrator in developing and managing Foxglove’s legal work. You will develop and drive forward a significant number and range of cases, including the development of case theories, investigating and collecting evidence, drafting correspondence, evidence and submissions. You will also be responsible for coordinating and managing external legal teams, in multiple jurisdictions. Length and Salary

Our team works remotely, and this role can be based anywhere. We would prefer you to work within or close to UK office hours, but this is flexible. Our team travels every two months for team days and twice a year for team retreats. This role will include significant UK and international travel. Supported Lodgings Coordinator (Wigan) - 7 Months FTC

Help shape a new Supported Lodgings service and make a real difference to young people aged 16–21. In this fast‑paced role, you’ll assess need and risk, coordinate placements with trained community hosts, and provide practical, strengths‑based support that helps young people build stability, skills and confidence on their journey to independent living.

Key Deliverables

Young People

• To be the first point of contact for young people and referral partners wanting to access the Supported Lodgings service.
• You will lead on the assessment of needs and risk, predominantly focused on suitable risk management plans for the safeguarding, matching and placement of young people in the homes of hosts
• Arrange all aspects of a young person’s stay with a host, ensuring they feel welcomed and supported, taking into account the support needs of individuals.

The Role

As an HR Advisor you will be the first point of contact for HR queries providing advice and guidance to managers and employees on all employment matters.

Your role will support the HR Business partners:

• Responding to initial queries providing clear and consistent practice across a variety of settings generating management reports to monitor sickness absence, performance and employee relations.
• Supporting the HR Business Partners on HR related activities relating to organisational change including TUPE and start-ups, restructuring exercises and job evaluations.

About You

You will be educated to Level 5 CIPD and have an up to date understanding and application of employment related legislation and HR practices.

You will need:

• Experience of providing advice on complex ER matters
• The ability to build excellent relationships quickly with key stakeholders and the wider business

About the role
This is an opportunity to join a Financial Strategy, Planning and Performance team, acting as a key business partner across development and sales areas. You will play an important role in supporting financial planning, ensuring compliance, and contributing to organisational performance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering management accounting services including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
• Providing financial insight and analysis to support strategic and operational decision making
• Preparing and reviewing annual budgets, quarterly reports and statutory returns
• Ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards and governance requirements
• Completing monthly reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records

About you

Essential skills and experience:

• CCAB qualified accountant or finalist expecting to qualify within 6 months
• Experience of business partnering within a busy finance environment
• Strong understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS, including year end processes and audits
• Ability to produce and interpret budgets and forecasts to support decision making
• Strong analytical skills and commercial awareness
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Advanced Excel skills and strong IT capability

Desirable:

• Experience within housing, property or a similar sector
• Knowledge of Unit 4 systems including FP&A
