Education Manager 
Salary: £47,000 - £51,000 (dependent on experience)

We are Molly Rose Foundation, founded following the death of 14-year-old Molly Russell. We work at the intersect of suicide prevention, online safety, and tech accountability to demand a safer online world and move beyond the preventable harm. We believe a better online world is possible, one where young people are protected, championed and equipped with the skills, confidence and critical algorithmic literacy they need to navigate digital spaces and thrive.

We are looking for an Education Manager to play a key role in shaping and delivering our Education, Training and Support programme at a pivotal early stage, helping to lay the foundations for long term impact.

This role is for someone with experience developing education programmes and training for diverse audiences at a national or locally significant level, and a strong track record of managing end to end projects. You will develop high quality, evidence led education resources and training, work closely with partners and colleagues across the organisation, and help turn strategic ambition into meaningful, measurable impact for young people and the adults who support them.

Dementia UK has an opportunity for a passionate Fundraising Community Coordinator to join our mass participation team. You will play a crucial part in managing the online communities for our month-long Virtual Events and Owned Products, ensuring an exceptional experience for our dedicated supporters. Examples of these events include Walk 31 Miles in May, Time for a Cuppa and Fans vs Dementia.

As a Fundraising Community Coordinator, you will be responsible for first point of contact with supporters in our online communities and inboxes, promptly responding to inquiries to help inspire and uplift fundraising activity.

You will also assist with the development of the supporter experience, including helping to improve fundraising resources, creating FAQ’s and gathering compelling case studies to further drive support. Additionally, you will provide administrative support to the whole team, acknowledging donations, and offering an exceptional experience to our event supporters via SMS, email and social media becoming a fundraising expert within the Mass Participation Team.

We are looking for you to have a proven track record in building positive relationships, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will have experience of following processes and have strong organisational and planning skills. Experience in managing online communities and utilising databases will be highly beneficial.

The role

 We are seeking an experienced Manager of Philanthropic Giving with a strong track record in securing major gifts. The ideal candidate will excel at building trusted, long-term relationships with donors and feel confident leading conversations that result in significant philanthropic support. This role will also contribute to the development and delivery of a trusts and foundations strategy, helping to grow and strengthen our portfolio.

This is a strategic and hands-on role with real impact for people affected by myasthenia.

The Manager of Philanthropic Giving will be predominantly home based within the UK (with occasional working and meetings at Derby HQ) and will work in co-operation with the fundraising team and all myaware colleagues to deliver agreed fundraising targets and campaigns. Own transport is essential for this role as occasional travel throughout the UK will be required to attend donor meetings, events and networking opportunities, as well as the ability to travel to the Derby office. There may be the need to occasionally work during weekends and evenings and therefore there is a need to work flexibly when required.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced and motivated fundraising professional with a strong track record in major donor fundraising along with experience in Trusts and Foundations fundraising. You will have experience in personal communication in asking for high level funds, and experience of stewarding high net worth individuals to maintain high levels of engagement over a significant period. You will have experience of Trusts and Foundations fundraising including pipeline management and stewardship, writing compelling funding applications and impact reports.

You will be a strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal, research and organisational skills, confident managing a complex pipeline and working collaboratively across teams. You will be comfortable working independently, using CRM systems, and engaging senior stakeholders, including trustees and high-level donors. Most importantly, you will share myaware’s values, demonstrate empathy with our cause, and be committed to making a meaningful difference through philanthropy.

Who are we?

Myaware is the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to the care and support of people affected by myasthenia. 

We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the condition. 

We also fund the research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors. 

Members of myaware have full access to a wide range of support services and events including our specialist benefits and welfare advisor. 

Myaware supports people with myasthenia and their families.  We campaign for better medical services for people with myasthenia and work to inform medical professionals. 

The myasthenias are a group of neuromuscular conditions. They are rare but also manageable and can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender or nationality. Myasthenia gravis, ocular myasthenia and Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome are autoimmune conditions whereas congenital myasthenic syndrome is caused by an inherited genetic fault. It is thought that there are approximately 20,000 people currently living with myasthenia in the UK.

Teams working on our nature reserves are often involved with significant habitat management, restoration and creation work whether delivering it themselves or utilising contractors. You will be required to advise our workforce on the safe management of contractors and CDM regulations as well as the safe use of machinery and equipment.

You will support a dispersed workforce who may be based at home, one of our properties, a location within the community or in the remote countryside where personal safety and emergency procedures need to be considered.

Alongside your work in North Scotland you will provide remote support to UK wide departments and teams, which may include supporting projects, events and collaborating with your HSE colleagues.

Your workload will include delivering site inspections to check compliance against internal and legal standards, deliver information and training, review incident data, complete investigations and compile and present reports to management teams. You will support the development and review of health & safety procedures and work with teams to support their implementation. You will promote wellbeing initiatives and lead by example and play a key role in implementing the RSPB's environmental management system.

In addition to broad health, safety and environmental knowledge, good interpersonal skills will be key to this role. You will be able to form excellent working relationships and be able to use influence to ensure health, safety and sustainability are taken into account at all stages of work. You will listen to workers, gain their input and understand their challenges.

You will need to have skills gained within a Health and Social Care profession. Your main responsibilities will be to offer help, information, advice, support and education to everyone affected by Huntington’s disease and professionals involved in supporting them.

All three vacancies are on a part-time permanent contract. Due to team-wide commitments, you must be available to work on Tuesdays. All other working days (in line with contracted hours) may be flexible around your individual needs and the needs of the role. We have worked in Birmingham for six years and the need and urgency for our work is greater than ever, with live grassroots campaigns across the city mobilising people to come together to save libraries, youth services and social housing. We know that a shared root cause of all of these crises is the city's economic system, and that meaningful change requires bringing people together across different perspectives and positions to build a shared understanding of how that system works and where the opportunities for change lie.

This role leads our work across Birmingham at an exciting moment. We are developing a participatory, community-centred approach to analysing the city's economy, identifying opportunities for change and coordinating alliances to act on them. This means bringing together mixed groups, including grassroots changemakers, researchers, funders and other partners, and facilitating processes that help people make sense of complex information together, find common ground and make decisions about collective priorities. The role requires someone who can hold these processes well: strong facilitation skills, communicating complex ideas accessibly, building trust across groups, sustaining momentum over time and helping diverse coalitions move from analysis to strategy to action.

The Senior Programme Manager will develop and deliver initiatives that support a growing movement for economic justice across the city, with a particular focus on building support and engagement amongst grassroots changemakers and communities experiencing economic injustice. It will manage projects and resources, conduct programme development and delivery, oversee outreach and partnerships, changemaker recruitment and contribute to fundraising, ultimately playing a key role in shaping our regional impact. Programme Delivery

• Working closely with the Programme Team, coordinate the delivery of People’s Economy’s programme of work in Birmingham and ensure it is well embedded, integrated and supportive in the local economic justice landscape. 

• Play a leading role in our collaborative work with Economic Justice Brum ensuring consistent coordination, support and relational working. 

• Lead on organising the logistics and resources required to effectively deliver People’s Economy’s programme of work in Birmingham.

About the role
We are recruiting for a Research Participation Manager to join on a full-time, permanent contract working 35 hours per week. This is a home-based role, with occasional travel required for in-person stakeholder or team meetings.

As Research Participation Manager you will lead the operational delivery and support the strategic development of the Society’s research participation team. You will line manage and develop the Research Participation team and associated staff, overseeing programme performance and reporting, and ensuring all activity aligns with UK clinical research regulations, data governance requirements, and organisational priorities.

In this role, you will work collaboratively across the Society and with external partners. You will strengthen cross sector relationships, drive inclusive and culturally competent engagement, and enhance awareness of, and participation in, vital dementia research, particularly among underserved communities. About you

Yn gyfnewid am hyn, gallwch ddisgwyl cyflog cystadleuol, lwfans absenoldeb hael, pensiwn staff, mynediad at oruchwyliaeth glinigol, gweithio hyblyg, rhaglen fentora, gwasanaeth cyngor a chwnsela, benthyciad tocyn tymor a llawer mwy.

Rydym yn gyflogwr ecwiti a chynhwysol. Rydym yn croesawu pob cais, ac yn arbennig yn annog ceisiadau gan bobl o'r mwyafrif byd-eang (du, brown, aml-dreftadaeth) a'r rhai sy'n uniaethu fel anabl, niwro-eang, neu niwro-amrywiol, gydag unrhyw nodweddion gwarchodedig a/neu rwystrau neu heriau cymdeithasol. Rydym yn gwerthfawrogi'r effaith rymusol ac addysgiadol y gall pob profiad ymarferol ac amrywiaeth meddwl ei gynnig i'r sefydliad.

Bydd St Giles yn gwarantu cyfweliad i bob ymgeisydd anabl sy'n bodloni'r meini prawf gofynnol a nodir yn y Disgrifiad Swydd ar gyfer y swydd wag hon.
