Growing & Production Leadership

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Careers Adviser to join our dynamic and forward-thinking Careers Team. In this key position, you will work across multiple sites within our Essex academies, supporting students to make informed, ambitious, and aspirational decisions about their futures.

As a senior member of the team, you will work closely with the Strategic Careers Lead and fellow advisers, providing expert guidance and helping to shape and deliver a high-impact CEIAG programme. You will also be a valued colleague within a supportive and collaborative team, where you will always have someone to bounce ideas off and share good practice.

Whether it’s further education, apprenticeships, traineeships or employment, you will play a vital role in guiding students towards the post-16 and post-18 pathways that best suit their individual goals and aspirations.

Your contribution will be central to raising aspirations, inspiring ambition, and ensuring every student, regardless of background or ability, is fully aware of the range of opportunities available to them. Together, we aim to deliver a high-quality, inclusive CEIAG programme from Year 7 to Year 13 that empowers all students to succeed.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning high-quality careers education with each academy’s Careers Lead, aligned to statutory guidance and academy improvement plans
• Delivering careers assemblies that broaden students’ understanding of post-16 and post-18 options
• Providing impartial, personalised career guidance through one-to-one meetings and group sessions
• Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records of guidance meetings and actions on Unifrog
• Tracking and reporting on students’ aspirations and progression
• Supporting students with post-16 and post-18 choices, including referring those with specific needs (e.g., SEND) to specialist services
• Liaising with external agencies, networks, and partners to strengthen the Higher Education and Careers programme
• Engaging parents and carers in the careers guidance process and attending parents’ evenings
• Organising meaningful employer encounters that inspire students and expand their understanding of the workplace
• Attending results days and enrolment days
• Supporting wider team members by sharing best practice and offering shadowing opportunities
• Acting as a point of contact and mentoring new team members to aid their development
• Providing careers-related evidence and supporting academies during Ofsted inspections

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We would like to hear from you if you have:

• A Diploma in Careers Guidance or Qualification in Careers Guidance to Level 6
• Experience in supporting or managing staff members to help them achieve their professional goals
• Proven working knowledge of Ofsted careers education assessment criteria for the personal development strand

• Proven experience in delivering impartial, personalised career guidance through one-to-one meetings, group sessions and assemblies

Volunteer Manager 

Recruitment and the Volunteer Cycle 
Lead on drafting volunteer role descriptions in collaboration with the recruitment
lead. 
Undertake advertising of volunteer opportunities across multiple platforms
ensuring best practice in relation to safer recruitment and equal opportunities
practice. 
Work with referral partners and community organisations where appropriate to
support participation. 
Be responsible for the onboarding of  volunteers including right to work checks,
induction scheduling, and induction reviews. 
Managers volunteer leavers and the change in relationship, ensure volunteers are
removed from any formal communication channels and receive an exit interview
to document their experience. 

Training, Learning and Development

This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SaLT who is passionate about transforming children’s life chances and is keen to lead and grow a Speech and Language Therapy service in the field of Social Emotional Mental Health needs.

The children we typically support are those with mild to moderate social communication needs. These are the children that don’t meet the criteria for community paediatric and CAMHS services and are often at significant risk of developing mental health and behavioural difficulties later on in life. We also offer EHCP work for more complex cases. 

In this role you will be working operationally and strategically. Drawing on your experience as a SaLT, alongside your excellent communication and mentoring skills, you will manage a team of SaLTs ensuring that high-quality Speech and Language Therapy is delivered across our partner schools and support the oversight of the SaLT trainee model, ensuring strong relationships with training providers and high-quality trainee placements.

You will also lead the SaLT service’s strategic growth and development, working with the Clinical Manager, Clinical Director and Director of the Schools Programme to expand the service across more schools, develop our offer and model, and respond to external opportunities as they arise.

This is an excellent opportunity for a legal contracts specialist with higher education sector experience to support a busy team responsible for enabling research collaborations, funding agreements, and commercial partnerships.

Responsibilities:

• Drafting, reviewing, advising on, and negotiating a wide range of agreements, including NDAs, CDAs, MTAs, and other research‑related contracts.
• Ensuring contracts are turned around efficiently and uploaded to internal systems in a timely manner.

This is a strategic leadership role dedicated to amplifying survivor voices and driving systemic change across the Alliance Partnership and the wider VAWG sector. As the Survivor Movement & Participation Lead, you will:

• Lead and coordinate the Experts with Lived Experience (ELE) network, ensuring survivors are supported, resourced and fairly compensated, and design and facilitate survivor-led and peer support spaces grounded in trauma-informed, anti-racist and culturally rooted practice.

• Build survivor leadership through training, mentoring and development opportunities, and embed safeguarding, boundaries, confidentiality and collective care across all survivor involvement.

• Strengthen survivor leadership within VAWG and wider justice movements through campaigns, activism and public engagement, and support cross-movement alliances with LGBTQ+, disability and other justice communities.

• Facilitate survivor participation in governance structures, promote ethical and power-sharing frameworks, represent survivor-led practice in strategic forums and partnerships, and contribute to tools, learning and resources that assess and promote survivor influence.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

The main purpose of the role is to prepare individuals to move on to independent living in the community. Service users may step down from the intensive support service to high, medium or lower needs before moving into the community. From the outset of an individual's tenancy the focus of the support is on preparing them for their journey of recovery and independence over an agreed period.

You will be working Monday to Sunday on a shift rota starting from 08:00 until 23:00 at the latest

What do I need to bring with me?

You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you're willing to learn. We also value lived experience of the areas we support, so if you feel comfortable, please do mention this on your application.

You have a strong understanding of recovery principles and varied recovery approaches, with experience supporting individuals with mental health and dual diagnosis needs. You are confident in crisis management and able to communicate with dignity and respect. You hold knowledge of relevant legislation, including CPA processes, and understand safeguarding responsibilities and how to respond appropriately.

You work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with the ability to support and induct new peer staff and volunteers. You can collaborate with statutory services such as the NHS and maintain awareness of health and safety requirements within frontline settings. You are flexible and able to work early, late, weekend, and bank holiday shifts to meet 24-hour service needs.

You also bring strong IT, literacy, and numeracy skills, with the ability to produce clear written communication and use MS Word, Outlook, and online systems confidently.

Campaign Director

We are looking for a Campaign Director to provide overall day-to-day leadership of the Partnership with The Disabled Children’s Partnership (DCP). You will be responsible for driving forward an ambitious integrated campaign, which combines political influencing, press and digital communications, public campaigning, and coalition mobilisation. Reporting directly to the Chair, the Campaign Director ensures the Partnership’s strategy is coherent, impactful, and responsive to political and public opportunities.

In this role, one eye will always be to our impact and the lasting legacy of our campaigns. Success will be measured in terms of real lasting social change – the extent to which DCP has driven positive shifts in policy, practice and attitudes through our campaigns, and whether our influence has shaped the narratives, priorities and actions of others beyond the lifetime of the campaign.

This role is a fixed‑term position (22.5 hours per week, worked over 3 days) until June 2027. We’re open to discussing how these hours can best work for you. Some on‑call and out‑of‑hours working may be required.

The Disabled Children’s Partnership (DCP) is a major coalition of 130+ organisations united by a common vision: improved health, education and social care for disabled children, young people, and their families. Together we campaign to secure the policy change, public awareness, and political attention that disabled children deserve.

Our current focus is our high-profile Fight for Ordinary campaign. Together we are calling for reform of the SEND system, so that children with special educational needs or who are disabled can enjoy the ordinary things that other children take for granted, like having a nursery, school or college place, being safe in school, making friends, and taking part in activities in and beyond school.

Senior Major Gifts Manager

As Senior Major Gifts Manager, you'll help deliver a step-change in philanthropy by providing strategic development and hands-on leadership of a major donor portfolio, securing high five-figure and six-figure gifts, and building new deep, long-term donor relationships that power the Major Appeal. Youth Focus West Midlands (YFWM) is looking for a Regional Development Lead to work as part of the Network of Regional Youth Work Units to build an inclusive and equitable approach to youth voice and youth engagement, ensuring the most marginalised and under-represented young people have their voices heard and acted upon across the UK.

The Development Lead will manage the Amplify funded programme of work across the region. This will include the facilitation of learning networks, peer support groups and peer research approaches, overseeing of project communications and delivering training and support programmes. Along with the collation of best practice around youth voice and contributing to evaluation and impact reporting requirements.

This is a part-time (17.5 hours per week) role on a Fixed Term Contract of 4 years, offering £29,000–£30,000 per annum pro-rata depending on experience (£14,500 – £15,000 before deductions). The role is remote (equipment provided) but with frequent travel required across the West Midlands. Occasional evening and weekend working will also be required.
