Job description

About us

Our purpose is simple: to save lives at sea. 24 hours a day, every day, RNLI lifesavers are ready to launch to the rescue. We're looking for a Face-to-Face Fundraising Experience Manager to join our large, award-winning in-house Face to Face Fundraising Team. This role supports the RNLI by attracting, developing and retaining talented face to face fundraising professionals who inspire long-term support for the charity, helping to generate the income needed to save lives at sea.

Some of the benefits:

  • Flexible working
  • 26 days' annual leave plus Bank Holidays
  • Competitive pension scheme
  • Life assurance
  • Health Cash Plan option

Your role

As a Face-to-Face Fundraising Experience Manager, you will focus on the following areas:

  • Leading the development and continuous improvement of the face-to-face fundraiser experience, including recruitment, induction, learning and development programmes.
  • Driving colleague engagement, recognition, culture and retention initiatives that support high-performing teams across the UK and Ireland.
  • Working with Recruitment, Learning & Development, Marketing and People teams to attract, develop and retain talented fundraisers and managers.
  • Using colleague feedback, performance data and operational insight to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
  • Leading people-related projects, service improvements and change initiatives that strengthen the sustainability and effectiveness of the Face-to-Face Fundraising programme.

About you

You'll have a strong understanding of face-to-face fundraising and the challenges of supporting geographically dispersed teams. You'll recognise the importance of recruitment, development and engagement in driving performance and creating a positive colleague experience. You'll enjoy building relationships, collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders and using insight, innovation and practical problem-solving to deliver meaningful improvements.

To be considered as our Face-to-Face Fundraising Experience Manager, you'll need:

  • Significant experience within face-to-face fundraising field operations, including knowledge of fundraising regulation and best practice.
  • Experience leading operational improvement, service development or change initiatives that have delivered measurable outcomes.
  • Experience coordinating activities across multiple teams and stakeholders to achieve shared objectives.
  • Strong understanding of the factors that drive operational performance, service sustainability and team effectiveness.
  • Experience using data, insight and feedback to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.

Other organisations may call this role:

People Experience Manager, Fundraising Development Manager, Learning and Development Manager, Recruitment and Development Manager, Talent Development Manager, Workforce Development Manager or Colleague Experience Manager.

This post requires a valid driving licence.

So, as a Face-to-Face Fundraising Experience Manager, you will be passionate about developing people, improving colleague experiences and helping teams perform at their best.

If you're resilient, adaptable and motivated by creating an environment where face to face fundraisers can thrive while supporting the RNLI's aim of saving lives at sea, this could be the role for you. Please visit our jobs page and apply today!
